@spark night Yes, loot does respawn but there is also the option in the map menu to reset control points, this will reset the map allowing you to farm over and over. That's what I do

How long before loot respawns though? I tried logging in and out, and it seems like the loot is server-based. Is it the same for resource nodes? I notice I can get food, water, etc. from there but it hasn't respawned so far. I assume these are meant to be donated to the control points?

If the stats are fine you always have the stash for putting stuff in. I’d say keep a copy of every gear set in your stash in case you want to play with it or make a build. But the rest I’d say depends on how close that piece is to being perfect that you would deconstruct or mark as junk to sell, slowly your standards for what you’re looking for in your gear will get higher

Take a look through the builds in the spreadsheet pinned in #td2-build-advice to get an idea of the brands, talents and stats that are actually useful. Remove everything else. Remove any gearsets you're not using too as it's really easy to farm more (except system corruption)

Keep a copy of each named and exotic though for expertise or in case they buff them

The way melee damage is calculated is a bit nonsensical. There's some damage to armor vs health aspect, certain things like vigilance can be active or not, many things can affect it. But the tldr is melee does so little damage it's pointless to build for it or wonder why it hits exactly what it does.

Map resets every week and some become invaded in the process. Even if you clean everything, next week some of the main missions will become invaded again.

It's not bad, but if you use striker with Turmoil kneepads you get almost the same effect. Plus, with ND you get +2% Crit per death, getting you 40% extra IF you kill 20 marked enemies, and you get 3 marked at a time. you usually get smaller groups around. In theory it doesn't seem all that bad, but in practice I believe it's annoying if a marked enemy sits in cover while unmarked ones throw lead at you

if you mean besides the usual stuff like striker, hunters fury, negotiators delimma, ongoing directive, then I'd say try an Intimidate based build

Centurion holster (or Catharsis, or Coyote mask, even Exodus gloves...pick your exotic but leave the backpack slot free for System Corruption)

using armor kit procs bonus armor which procs Intimidate/Perfect Intimidate

What you probably have is proficiency rank 4.

For the library, yeah you need to remember what weapon/stat it was. For expertise you can just mark it as junk and then donate all junk

Oh, good tip for expertise. That seems like a tremendous oversight for the library, a lot of needless clicks and having to remember stuff. And you have to do it for each item individually

How about mods, do you have the remove them from each individual item in the inventory page? You can't do it from the mod menu or some other way?

Mods you just save in loadouts and it'll auto switch them when you swap loadouts around.

For library stats I make a mental note whenever I get a max stat I don't already have (you can tell by the little arrows on the stat bar) and just extract it immediately. For talents you can just glance at the library page and see if there's any 'new talent to extract' marks on any of the categories.

I don't usually bother extracting stats that are less than max unless they're particularly useful

I find the best way to keep on top of it is to check as you pick things up: if they're not worth keeping then just loot everything as junk, which you can dismantle/donate/sell in bulk. Of course, it helps to have a clear idea of what brands, stats, talents are actually used in builds.

Inventory management in this game is super annoying.

The library will tell you with a little green arrow above if you hold something in your inventory that is better than what is currently stored in the library.

Just enter whatever gear piece it's telling you in the library and find the stat or talent that it's telling you and it'll tell you what weapon to extract it from. No need to go back and forth

If you use that method though you'll be forever extracting minor improvements to pointless stats though, better to just wait until you have a max roll then extract it (unless it's an important stat you need to use in the meantime)

I thought it was neat you get bottomless ammo while having special ammo that's all with the new mask coming out maybe it can make for more options for max directive summit

You don't actually get bottomless ammo, but each time you get a status kill and receive a full mag of ammo, the excess (assuming your current mag isn't empty) goes into your reserves, so they will steadily build up from empty even with pistolero.
If you don't manage to 1-mag an enemy, you'll run out of special ammo but still have those reserves you built up.

besides that's all special ammo, shock, high velocity, explosive, incendiary and hollow point
OD just has the hollowpoint built in and easier to maintain as long as you can kill things with a status on it
which is why i mentioned warhounds, minitanks and turrets which you can't bleed with, sure you can emp them then destroy them to continue your hollowpoint bullet bit, i just don't attempt that as it feels too much work to keep the bullets going

and with LMGs you can more than for sure one mag dogs and have spare

or have iron lung to let you restart the whole thing on regular enemies without the use of skills
