Absoutely, a severe bug is something that should be fixed and rollbacked. This is just that severe, sadly. Why should I continue to farm now when I had the chance to get unlimited resources if i could? I shouldn't get punished just because someone found a loophole, be it a mistake or intentional.. Getting some of my weapons to 28 actually took time and commitment. There is actually no reason for me to farm anymore for it, since people can just cheat and get away with it.

Well, I think most players are glad you are not in charge of the game. Imagine accidently encountering this bug, completely out of your control, then spending a week farming the game, doing whatever, only to have your account rolled back afterwards. That's a good way to anger the entire playerbase and kill your game.

It's on the devs to test their game and ensure stuff like this doesn't happen. The players aren't responsible to test the game and get punished for dev mistakes.

No I get it, and I agree to a certain degree. Rolling back now is a really bad idea, since people have been farming like crazy for the caches, and it would pretty much doom the new DLC. For people like me who didn't encounter this glitch or even thought about using it, we got shafted, hard. I've been playing on and off since the Beta. this just made me loose interest completely. The little love I had left for the game just went "poof" with this, man. Laugh all you want, but I honestly were looking forward to some new content, too.

The ubi account that you think "is not used at all" in fact has all your game information. You can't just simply unlink it.

Also I’ve tried using my Ubisoft account to link to epic games but it doesn’t show me the option for epic games at all.

as @tender wave says, make sure you spend the points because they've noted you should before the new system takes place. Also, from my personal expeirence now playing for a bit, use your scav points on Field Recon data and SHD recalibration..

Field Recon Data will be your number one show stopper in optimizing gear from what I've noticed. Hopefully once the new season and DLC launches they will triple the amount we get so it should be a bit easier.

You can get other mats by just playing even in open world, bounties give you quite a bit of money, so you can get those at any point.. the most important long term mats are field recon, shd mats and exotic mats. here's a few tips I figured out..

1. Priority Objectives will bring you lots of XP and target the ones that have exotic reward. Missions, Open World and Stronghold. Do those for great XP and exotic rewards. If you don't get them, you can reroll it 3 times and you can abandon once every hour. If you don't get any good ones, see 2. This is what I was doing for a couple of weeks and got almost every exotic and tons of XP. Don't do activities or NY missions because they are very long and not worth the time.

2. On heroic, I've found that public executions were the best XP, however with the Reanimated event it's rough because the poison mist from "zombies" will kill the hostages so that's not a solid strategy now. The reason I said it is because it was the most beneficial XP vs time farming. But as @kind veldt said, most of us do CP's on heroic. It's ok if you are not ready for heroic yet. You can do them on challenging but you can always call for help and you should get a good team very quickly. CPs on heroic are about 700k XP and usually take a few minutes to clear, public executions were 480k for like 2 mins. That's why people love to do them for XP and the great benefit about CPs is that you will be unlocking the blueprints for attachments, and other stuff that will benefit you in the long run.

3. If you really want to farm XP specifically, if you have a friend or someone else willing to help you out or doing the same, a lot of people uses classified mission at the top of the white house map. It's called National Bond. This mission is used to help people make mules as it gives 1 million+ XP for 3 min run with 3 directives. It levels up to 40 in about 30 mins. But 1 million XP will level your SHD up very fast with this mission. The issue is you need a friend who has this mission on heroic they can start it as an instance and then invite you, then they switch and join on you. This way you can redo it over and over again for 1m XP per run. Super short and massive XP. The whole process takes about 2 mins to restart without any glitches or similar. If you do it alone, you do it once and it will go on cooldown for a week that's why you need an instance on another character to reload it.

Other than this, you can just play and enjoy yourself honestly. I'm 800+ SHD now and I started a few weeks ago. I never farmed specifically for XP, I just played the game for projects, priority objectives, finishing my journey, etc etc.. was never really targeting the XP.

look on the map for green handcuffs.. that's the rescue operation.. you basically have to go there and help the "team" rescue the prisoners. It looks green so it might be deceiving. It will show up randomly in areas I think you mostly cleared (not 100% sure on that).

If i turn on special ammo, the timer is frozen at the full cooldown and only drops time when I pick up scavenged parts off enemies but if I turn on scavenged skills it gets the scavenged skills cool down icon but enemies don't drop the scavenged parts and the skill cooldown slowly goes down on its own

The summit method is to kill the named enemy but leave at least one other enemy alive (so you don't complete the floor), then fast travel to the lobby, and take the elevator straight back to the floor you just left, which will reset it so you can kill the boss again. You can do this with any boss floor, doesn't have to be 10.

Depends on the build and how much effort you're willing to put in. For crit builds, coyote is an easy 'throw it on for some extra damage' option. Things like centurions holster or bloody knuckles give more damage but only when you act to proc their bonuses. Exodus is also popular on all red builds as an extra layer of defense.

Exotics are very rare by definition, so it may take a while

I've been trying to farm a Vigil backpack with specific attributes for a month, and still haven't seen the exact one I want drop - even in Countdown

even so, I know this is the best chance I'll have, so haven't given up yet

on Countdown, go for MAX damage. It doesn't matter if you have 900k or 2 Mil of armor, when the Hunters hit you with their axe it's ALL gone.

So I build almost all red for Countdown, with Unbreakable on chest and shield. I can survive two hits that way

I just go full red - if I can't destroy a Hunter in 15 seconds, then I'm not doing it right.

with a good team it should be closer to 5 seconds. if they're struggling still after 15 seconds I usually leave the Countdown because that team will never survive the run to the extraction site after the main objective

depends on which of the random hunter modifiers you get...if you're lucky and you don't get the status effect one, then it means even with cheese builds using St. Elmo a group can take down the hunters, but yes extraction could still be difficult.

I don't have the patience to go through multiple countdown runs just to have a good group, so I run a vanguard striker build. Even with an all noob group I rarely fail the extraction phase

I am guessing you are running a lower difficulty. I never do less than Challenging, and without at least 5 decent players you'll never survive extraction no matter what build you have

never less than, as I said. I do Heroic a lot too, and short of cheating, there's no build god-like enough you can extract with a team of noobs on Heroic

with a good team, it's easy, of course, but that's 8 good players

I’ve had teams do that we clear just fine, just because a team doesn’t do what you want doesn’t necessarily make them bad or going to fail

it has nothing to do with what I want, it's them knowing what to do. I've probably done several hundred Countdowns, and the teams that didn't work together successfully extracted exactly 0 times. Most of them rarely survived the initial Hunter encounters, but even those that did all died at the end
