Most assaultrifles , chambered in 5.56 , hell even the older 7.62 ones are well suited for mid range and close engagements

Most marksmen rifles like bolt action or long barreled specialized sniperrifles are well for recon or targeted eliminations

Depending on what you will encounter and what landscape youre operating in - you see why certain specializations naturally occur over the world

of course you have niche categories , blending in to fill gaps

it's an oversight and I think they will address it in the future
for now you can try to get the same priority objectives, that's what I and some mates do
strongholds are okayish, because there aren't as many as missions or open world stuff
activities would probably be the best option, because there are like 3 in total, so it is even easier to get the same objective
but strongholds are the best in terms of rewards
maybe a solution in the future would be to always use the leaders prio obj for the group, like the seasonal modifiers switch works right now

The way to get it out of your loadouts without crashing is to transfer it through the stash to a separate character, then go back to the bugged character and resave those loadouts with a different weapon.
Then move it back, remove the new skin, and resave the loadouts
