You can solo 98% of all content. Pretty much countdown, the 2 raids, the incursion, and the legendary missions you'd want a team(legendary and incursion are soloable but very hard). For the map/story it's ez solo.

Honestly the biggest reason is because before the recent-ish balance patch, it was a bad weapon bad players thought was good, a noob friendly weapon since people could just endlessly fire without any accuracy and damage until things were dead. That has given it a very bad reputation among long time players.

It got buffed along with other LMGs, plus all exotics can now reroll it's third attribute, so it's objectively fairly strong now. Or at least on par with most other options.

Really the biggest downside is the downsides of all LMGs, the accuracy isn't that great, it suppresses enemies which slows everything down, and you can run it with a crusader/striker shield, which are arguably the strongest skill for a DPS build.

I like the story with the manhunts and everything else, outside of that. I just dislike that the only "rewards" is collectibles now. Because they used the manhunts to justify adding only BP content. Like the 2 exotics that have almost always been pointless/useless. Or the gear sets.
I do gotta say i love the gamenodes though. Countdowns my favorite critter when people dint unsta leave.
I personally think it shouldve alternated between gun, collectables, and gadgets every manhunt. Id of been happy then.

the flow is generally:
keep desired gear> mark as junk> hit library to see if anything can be extracted from junk> donate rest to expertise> anything left you break down for mats that can be used or donated

Legendary is only available in summit and the 5 stronghold missions, and only if the mission is in the regular mode (icon is blue not red or yellow).
