Countdown can drop exotics at a small rate but you get countdown requisition which can be spent on exotic caches at the countdown vendor. Every two challenging runs will net you enough for an exo cache.

Well if you don't have SHD/expertise/builds built up it's gonna mostly come down to getting some builds set up. It'll be easier than you think tho. After that it'd be learning good habits and what to do with your loot and deciding how hard you want to push expertise up. Aside of that learning the funk seasonal menu is good to do too.

seasonal menu? and yeah i am just at the "start" got most of the talents and such of things but expertise is like at the very start. i am just tryna complete the library and after that feed the items into expertise once i got my few builds

For the seasonal menu you just need to learn how to navigate it to turn on global events and to check reward tracks. Getting the recal library filled should be #1 on anyones list so you gud there. Expertise will progress much quicker if every week you go around to the vendors and buy/donate named items. Aside of that just try to learn the key items and what to keep/trash so you don't end up with a full stash of just junk.

I would suggest making a habit of picking up items as junk vs going thru and marking them later. Just pick up items you wanna keep as favorite then pick up the rest of the pile as junk. It'll save you tons of time in the long run.

Perfect week to start the Nemesis project, or get that blueprint you been waiting for.

After you get the tidal basin piece , change mode for DUA back to invaded and complete again for another piece. with 2 pieces in hand set GWH back to invaded and the blueprint will drop. Nemesis can be farmed from MMR TL after that regardless of project completion.

It's incredibly likely that you're keeping about 60% junk parts and could whittle them down.

Then follow the "rule" for loot.

those 300 slots includes mod slots too, so theoretically we only have 200 slots available (there is a workaround for this: place mods on gear and then send them to stash to save some space); what people tend to forget is that some of us have multiple gear pieces and weapons already optimised and expertised that are kept for future builds, so it's completely out of question to get rid of them to save space; I, for one, am constantly developing new builds or variants of the existing ones, so I need those pieces all the time; on the other hand, developers constantly say they can't increase the number of slots in stash because this will cause servers overloading; oh, really? but constantly adding gear, weapons and talents (most of them completely useless) to the game doesn't cause servers overloading? we are currently sitting on almost 400 (386 to be exact) items in the game, being used less than 15% of them by the vast majority of playerbase (5-10 weapons, 4-5 talents on gear, 4-5 talents on weapons, depending on builds used), the rest being just deadweight used to thin the loot pool as much as possible, dropping the chances to gain an useful item close to absolute zero; I have 4 characters, 16 builds on main and 12-14 on the other 3, each, so I know exactly what it's used, and what really works, on 99% of the builds at this moment which are, at most, 10 of them suitable for all content in the game (open world activites, missions, raids, Incursion, Countdown etc).

bottom line, 300 slots for 4 characters and "build diversity" is nowhere near enough

That's why you farm gear/weapons where the talent can be rolled instead of attributes.
Also saves you from expertising an item whose talent may become shit in the future

Also, dont expertise an item unless it's actually a main item for daily use. Otherwise you have a bunch of gear you get emotional about destroying because its got upgrades

Older games/mods like dayz/arma 2&3 dayz/exile type teach you not to get attached to gear since it's gone in an instant... but that's a bit off topic for this discord 😅

funny how i ended up running the one shot headshot determined build despite disliking snipers. i couldn't find a good AR and ended using the vector 45 unwavering build for a while but got bored of that then switching to the sniper. now experimenting with AR since i've been saving AR specific stuff. takes me more time to kill but it's more fun.

Well it depends on what you're looking for. If you need dz named exclusives, best bet is try your luck on dz or with conflict. If you want an easier time, buy named caches from countdown vendor. Pretty much all pvp builds can be farmed in countdown with the exception of system corruption

System corruption, you need to play and hope you get it to drop in DZ or wait every few weeks for a global event and do challenges to get stars to buy legacy caches. Better off going for legacy caches as SC gear is never targeted. But, have fun pulling your hair out with global event challenges lol

Ah I don't recommend PvP unless your builds are borderline perfect/maxed out. But, doesn't hurt to start farming for them. Countdown is right next to summit on the map, make sure to set your targeted loot using the key to change it (will show in the UI on the map). After you set your target loot, matchmake for challenging difficulty

It is dependent on what the clan completes as well. You'll have clan projects that increase your reward tier. Youll have to maintain a minimal level of activity to get a cache, and as mentioned already, top xp will get 2 caches

The season before the new dlc comes out you SHOULD DO THIS!!

1000 shd level and 10 expertise given to anyone that starts the game, to make it easier to just play the game and it’s been long enough so you might as well do it.

Make expertise twice as fast to gain

Add more talents and exotics that are unique and have counter play potential

Specialization revamp??

Bring holster talents back to weapons

All this would add more variety to the game and keep players playing the game from the very start, especially for PVP

Buff third attributes on guns like make the 5% extra rpm 10% instead.

Make pve more fun

Make pvp a little more balanced

Make the game better for new players so we can have more popularity and a higher player base

Both puts everyone on a more level playing field. Overall I agree one of pvps biggest issues is a massive barrier of entry, so people try it once, get their teeth kicked in, and write it off forever. But they are actively moving in the direction your asking for

there has already been a ton of weapons/gear buffed when resolve dropped.

they've already made expertise upgrades around 30% of the original cost. on top of that they added more opportunities to gain exo components. i know this wasnt an exact point you put in your post but an argument to increase proficiency speed indicates you probably want to be able to max out an item very quick as well, and this ties into that.

i dont think they need to make proficiency any faster... using different weapons already gets pretty decent gains. it can be sped up if you have shd to burn. you can gain a very high expertise level from usage only in approximately 2 months. its meant to be an end game activity, so making it stupid fast takes away a goal, probably leading someone to feel like there isnt anything to do.

i dont agree with just automatically giving people level 1k shd /expertise 10. it gives a sense of accomplishment when its earned. idk how many people ive seen here exclaiming they hit 1k, but its a lot. it seems to be a pretty positive thing when reaching this goal. also, part of learning the game is tied to both these grinds. shd grind inevitably gives you a better understanding of the mechanics of the game. expertise grind gives you a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the gear/weapons/skills.

i personally dont mind how spec system is. you have to weigh the pros and cons of using specific spec and tailor your build accordingly.

i dont pvp, but the best thing they could do is drop expertise and shd for those environments as mentioned above already. other than that my opinion on that doesnt really matter.

i would like to see a couple gear sets reworked over just banging out a bunch of new exo or gear. it wouldnt be a bad thing to add more tho. hopfully future seasons come up with some interesting concepts, as opposed to copy/pasta sets

some changes i think could be good:

-make tank sets more viable by adding an increased aggro attribute. decoy already has a threat level when upgrading expertise on it. something like this can be added to foundry.

-add rifles to aces and 8s so they can utilize the buffs and drag this set back out of obscurity.

i can share my experience and opinion about pc platform, as server and eu server

nowadays 95% of as pvpers stick with eu server, because eu have more people
in as server, new player are not encouraged to go dz, also people have not much hesitation to skill build, checkpoint camp etc., most pve player would leave if they get farm so almost have no salty trash talk, but you still can watch drama between 2 groups of pvpers

in eu, most player have big hesitation to skill, to camper, for some reason which i can't understand, and most people would keep dying like normandy landings roll play, also i see a lot of strong eu player love solo like Aiwass, but as pvpers play with teams

Returning agent here. Has the cheese method for floor 100 of the summit been nerfed? I'm forced to enter the room and fight all the hunters when that didn't used to be the case. the room closes now, you can depending on your build throw an granade at their spawn while you enter to stun them and get a good position, still use shock traps to close off one of the sides so they cant flank you, and scorpio still OP shotgun that can stunlock them

If you find someone that can help you pair cc with dps, it becomes a lot more manageable.
If you leave 1 agent in the old cheese room, you can delay their spawn. your cc guy can get some shock traps in their spawn and be prepped to proc sledgehammer with an incendiary nade. If the cc build has some hazpro theyll be able to keep hunters stuck while they get melted by dps.

I dont think bulwark is really the answer, you would just prolong the fight with no real advantage on them.
