Are you doing the tree one at night? As well as have no directives on? I know the tree one is a nighttime only puzzle and I've heard multiple reports that disabling directives will fix the issues

The Hunter Puzzles are kinda glitchy at the best of times, but they can indeed sometimes "soft lock" if you finish them without actually "finishing" them.
only choice then is to hope that you'll randomly have the key sitting at your Ivory/Off-White Cache after a while, or re-do them with someone else hosting it.

Yah devs have literally said over a dozen times that under the current config it is impossible add any stash/inventory space without their being unavoidable loading issues. So you should just run 4 characters and share the combined space between them to house builds you don’t use as often and transfer them when needed

Yah I feel you. All of my 4 char are pretty close to being maxed out on gear too. But honestly I don’t use 90% of it. So I just made one of my characters a legendary run only character, one is an incursion character, one for raids and the last for pvp.

You can pretty much "finish" a Season in div2 by just playing the occasional GE for a backpack trophy, cap out the Apparel Events, and get the Season to Lvl 100 by doing those first 2 things.

Yeah with the spotter build you wanna play vigilance. You can do the PvE version and swap vigilance with unstoppable force

not really. its just a mix of usage and donations.
if you have some shd scavenging points available you can use as cash and buy up named items or weapons to donate. these change weekly. 20 items per proficient. its 30 scav points or less per item to level that way.
mainly targeting/donating weapon types in countdown, and using those mat donations you are already doing on bad skills. you can also craft some items to level a bit quicker, like 20 of each improvised piece , weapons, etc.

Field recon and SHD recal is expensive, you're better off just doing countdown for SHD recal or farming dz landmarks for field recon. The rest you can get by deconstructing gear

Oh that's not a Challenge, that's just the mechanic of the GE.
when built up, you cover-to-cover near and then it sets it off in a radius, or you melee them and it creates its own radius.
