There is a weekly project related, clear 30 floors for exo cache. You can break it into weekly chunks to not burn out with it and maximize rewards.

yeah for the most part. there are some exotics that need projects completed but will drop after that. eagleburger AR and ravenous Rifle tied to raid or dz (darkzone) only, regulus Pistol tied to a raid only project and wont drop outside of raid after complete.
ther are also a number of named items that are tied to dz as well but all named can drop from named caches.
its kindof a complex deal for loot so if not sure where to find something just ask here and someone will help you out

not from 30-40. only exo. but countdown mode drops a lot of named items along with a ton of other loot so the after 40 farming can be fairly quick to get a solid build. once past wony just look into a striker dps setup and that can get you through raids, incursion, countdown, and heroic no problem. might need to tweak some stuff for legendary. you already know about the spreadsheet right?

Hotswapping is a big thing to just because of all the bloody bugs in the game. Like on Fieser for example, if you shoot at the doors on deep a or deep c, you enter combat, even if the team didn't start the fight by stepping into the furnace. So if you explain something to new players, and shoot at a door as a way of pointing, you have to remember to swap before because you can't hotswap after. Or in summit especially the ads often get stuck in doors, especially in that 8-shaped room. You can't swap to oxidizer anymore, or even if you can swap the oxidizer, you have to wait for ages for it to work, or it might not even reach him because of the limited range it has when not running skill tiers.

And there were so many times when someone in raids had to hotswap to healer or tank because someone got disconnected.

You also frequently have to swap things when the skills glitch out, which happens a fucking lot by the way.

Yea, that one is pretty much nonexistent. But personally I don't like elmos talent either. Iron lung is held back by being an lmg, and lmgs got no love. It's actually decent damage wise, but way overshadowed by elmos and ourobouros. But even then the talent is ok, but doesn't really affect gameplay all that much. Sacrum is useless imo, if I want to burn everything I'll use a sticky bomb and eclipse.

Technically yes, although it's going to be a bit of a slog.
The Hunters in Countdown technically count as Black Tusk Elite, and if you focus on breaking weakpoints in there you could likely finish it quite fast. Plus Rank 10 in the 4 Time Trials.
I'm sure there are other ways too.

You should run a few Invaded Missions too though, with a teammate or two and it'll spawn in more Elites.

Any loot you pickup goes in this order:
Keep if good > Recal Library > Expertise > Junk > Sell.
If you're following that system, any change to the loot will have very little affect on you.

Optimising an item from near max takes about the same amount of time as farming out a higher level item, so pick which method you find more fun.

When I reach level 40, I know I will be able to donate for attributes and talents level 31-40. Is it possible to do it for level 1-30 as well? trying to link up ubiconnect to steam - but everyone i click "add a non-steam game" and bring it to the td2.exe on my desktop - it keeps giving me catastrophic error - any ideas on how to fix?

Countdown isn't actually fully scaled for 8 people, it's kind of in a weird middle ground.

and difficulty is scaled somewhat above each tier, but also not fully.

Just matchmake on Chall' or Heroic, you'll find a team in seconds.

The actual % of each stat rarely matters all that much, just make sure they are the correct stats and the Talent is the one that can be changed around.

then for crafting set targeted loot to whatever weapon you need most and deconstruct every one you get, so you get the specific alloys then also steel. Set targeted loot to chest pieces for Ceramics

max optimize a build within a week or two max

I have one of each. For the striker I go yotes mask, striker chest and backpack and one piece of grupo and then 2 other striker where the grupo isn't at. for the all red standard I go 3 piece providence, fox knees, 1 ceska and one grupo. all chance up to 55% and then damage up to 200%. you could skip either ceska or grupo for a yotes mask for the group buff thing. i use vigilance on bag and obliterate on chest. weapons with whatever you're comfortable with, but obviously the Tickle Me Elmo is the current AR meta. hope that helps
