How long it takes for a build to be end-game ready can definitely depend. If you grind countdown and use targeted loot... well, it'll take a few hours minimum probably if you're starting from scratch. If you're looking for a specific exotic, that can take time to drop as well, or you'll get it from a countdown cache.

i mean i hopped in yesterday to grab Elmo's (didnt play when it was on the track) and just ran 4 or 5 Countdowns before it dropped, to get the rest of a striker build shouldnt take much longer than that

so like, 10-15 countdowns if you are unlucky

Well you can go to the LFG channel for incursions and ask. You also might wanna check your build in the #td2-build-advice channel to see if you can improve it so it's more teaching vs carry which can be very hard depending on the group. You should also have a mic and be ready to do some coms during the fights.

Yeah for the last boss you'll wanna use the striker chest and backpack and 1 pc ceska and grupo/coyotes depending on if someone already has it. Then you'd wanna use an acs 12 for stacking.

Hey all. So I have an EP fire build that I've been using for a long time. The build has a Vile mask... which I only put in there b/c I couldn't think of anything better really. I came back after a long time and found Electrique which gives 10% status effects.

Question: Does running an Electrique mask outperform Vile? I already ran it myself but it's really hard to judge effectiveness of these DoT builds like I would with DPS builds. It feels a little better but it's hard to tell.

yeah this week specifically i've had next to nothing else to do so i've put like 60 hours in since wednesday

I've been putting in a good 4-8 hours a day currently, I had another phase like this a few months ago. I'm hoping that everything will keep me engaged because this is a game I really love playing

I just want to get to the harder, more varied content without getting my ankles broken

yeah i feel like countdown is actually an okay litmus test to see how you can handle more difficult things. like the beginning and ending especially

with the hunters. that's sort of where i go into tryhard mode like "how much damage can i lay into these hunters without getting ratio'd"

I'll have fun really testing my potential once I get a DPS build going. Until then my strategy is "don't die and don't let other people die lmao" but half of the time I get hit with whatever hacks me and I can't use my abilities. Instant regret

Usually as long as I stay close to someone I can stay alive somewhat effectively

The ending of Countdown is just a living hell though, especially if the team's overwhelmed. People drop one by one in that case

yeah some of my smoothest runs i've had someone giving me crazy bonus armor the majority of the time so i've been able to run up on mfs and lay down the word of our lord st. elmo's engine without issue

ngl the ending is my favorite part

No, I have the FI perk (damage bonus 15% > 30%). Love unbreakable though, it's what I ran before SHD levels

Maybe it's Galvanize? 40% of a tank build's armor is a ton of armor. I don't know for sure

The longest part is getting up to weight, and the lovebirds are half your boss drop chance at getting ouroboros. Lovebirds suck when your group doesn't know what it's doing, but once you get it down it's not bad. And resetting and repeating the first section over and over will never teach you the final boss.
