How does that work? Don't you require one hit for each stack? Charging 100 stacks in 3 seconds is 33 stacks/sec, which is 33*60 = 1980 RPM. That's considerably higher than a Vector's ~1400 RPM with Striker's. (I don't recall the ACS fire rate, but I'd imagine it doesn't get 100% hits unless you're real close.)
I've always had problems charging Striker, and never quite figured out how to do it well. Proably I just need to play faster; being too delibrate a player doesn't work well with many builds in this game.

I find shotguns to be pretty underwhelming as a whole in Division 2. compared to SMGs. The reload speed and not being able to land all pellets on target is a huge DPS drop

at close range, high damage rifles actually work better as close range weapons, sadly

The only thing i think shotguns excel at is ammo economy

They also take a huge disadvantage with the lose all ammo on reload challenge

Reload with 5 enemies around you for the 5x buff, get lucky and get Bullet Hell... GG, you effectively have Allegro 10 permanently.

Now combine that with actual Allegro. You have become an A10 Warthog

I hear it's best to re-roll it for DTOC, yes, and I'd tend to agree, though you may want to wait until you get a second one. (That way you can always re-roll just the worse one, and never go backwards.)

Well, they're low everywhere, but there are plenty of sources of Exotic Caches, so one will come up eventually. But if you feel lucky, you can just re-roll your current one until you get what you need or your run out of Exotic parts.

I know most of you will say donating weapons to boost proficiency rank is a waste of attributes, talents, mats but I have some leftover dupes because I was going for a specific roll on a Police M4. Now, I saw a video that there used to be a problem in division 2 when donating your weapons you can soft cap your expertise level. Is that still the case ?

the problem with donating in expertise was fixed a long time ago - now most people would agree that donating weapons to expertise is perfectly fine if you don't need the stats for your recalibration table (recalibration is more useful early endgame and it's not too difficult to max out your library)

I would maybe say donating a weapon type you actually intend on using quite a lot is a bit wasteful since you'll quickly max out proficiency on it just by getting kills, but it's a minor loss either way.

Weapons are one of the biggest categories to get proficient. Definitly not a waste.

Just always do the following.
Mark favorite the stuff you want to keep.
Mark all else as junk .
Check library categories for geen up arrows (indicator you have something available for extraction).
Then donate to expertise.
Decon leftovers for mats.
This is most efficient use of excess weapons or gear.

Named caches like suggested already. Rock n roll is not the be all end all of stacking shotguns. Much better off with lefty and perfect sledgehammer so it can work double duty as a stack/debuff weapon
