it's annoying but so far only guaranteed way I've found is to force it to re-instance
for which one method I've found is to down yourself according to a reddit thread, but that didn't work most of the time for me
another one that seems pretty much guaranteed, is when lead leaves
Sometimes leadership being passed to someone else also does it, so when playing with friends one of us just leads and if it doesn't start, they pass lead to another friend, if that doesn't start it then we pass lead to some random other to give it another chance

But often the only guaranteed way to re-instance and thus start it, is to have the lead leave
So right now the only guaranteed way I've found so far is to have a 2nd account running in the background that we use when playing, who'll host as lead, get people, and basically as soon as we get in, that character just leaves - either it starts and it just leaves anyway (since can't play on two chars simultaneously), or if it bugs out, it leaves which fixes it and starts the run

This way we'll always be playing with max 7 people (and like 5-6 if then couple people drop), but that's very doable, and so far has a 100% success rate
Not super accessible for most though, as you need an extra sacrificial account and a way to run it (or a friend who doesn't mind queuing but then dropping out to not play that round), but for €7 I didn't find it the end of the world to be able to run CD without issues

I can get 15 to 18 levels an hour with resource convoys. Haven’t found anything else that even comes close to that. But if you just play, you will level up….

Challenging all directives, takes 30 to 60 seconds per convoy.

just before picking up resource to finish convoy turn on all directives and pick it up before the 10 seconds end. You can turn the directives back off if you're quick enough in these 10 seconds but it's not a big deal for an extra refresh

And this gives the 200% xp boost or whatever it is

This is officially the "fastest way"

And it's what you'll find on YouTube if you look it up

It's either been 6 or 7. Someone just crashes or DCs right after the start.

At best we get to extract phase with 8 then someone gets fucked by a hunter or by the server. At worst, we barely finish with 5 people or not at all.

you can basically play pretend CIWIS AA at like CD extraction, by shooting all the grenades and whatnot flying at the team that'd wipe half the unsuspecting group, preventing them all from hitting the team even when multiple are shooting (+ taking out like explosive drones and un-chaining chungas etc)

Yes, it's especially handy sometimes against black tusk as their grenades are very predictably accurate and super long range, if you have nothing better to do in that position you can sometimes cover your team that way (or prevent self damage if you can't dodge atm)

Though that's with PC mouse aim, not sure how feasible it is on controller
(and of course as soon as you actually have LoS on the grenadier yourself, it's quicker to just quickly kill them)

Yeah just on PC with mouse it's more feasible for when there's situations you might not want to get out of the cover you're in atm and/or there's too little space to dodge, so it's more worth to just quickly get an incoming grenade or two out of the air between killing enemies real quick, especially in legendary (rolling or even moving around could be a bigger damage loss, or your cover is so small it'd be more dangerous)

I think it’s quite great for a shotgun actually, lot of damage in the mag, and quick full mag reload instead of pellet by pellet

The faster reload at 1 remaining is quite nice to use with it, AFAIK quicker (1 to 8 as it’s not a full empty reload) instead of reloading from 0 to 7

I find I can get more xp per hour on challenging. Can’t kill them as quick on heroic, so overall less xp per hour. For me anyway. Best to do your own analysis and see which actually gives you more levels per hour. If that’s your goal that is.

You’d just want to farm yourself a DPS build, probably a skill build. Those will let you comfortably do harder difficulties which gives you better rolls which lets you upgrade your build

Then you can start experimenting with different builds, like Hunter’s Fury for quicker clears on certain missions

IIRC unbreakable and berker build were meta. And then they changed the loot system and all of builds become useless and I quit the game. Now i just want to get back into it, mostly solo. The div2 new york map catches a bit of the old "oh s***!" feeling of div1 and the rikers and cleaner are cool factions. The map is just too small and the density of CP's and other activities isnt packed enough. So much walking and lonely spaces.

Just use the best pieces you find while leveling up, you’ll be changing gear every level or two. Once you reach end game, then worry about your builds.

you can do what ever you want, it wont matter. It only matters after you finish wony and unlock lvl 40 shd 0.

and even than you can keep playing on normal diff and do what ever you want, you will just take years to reach shd 1000.

saying build doesnt matter is wrong though, there's 3 missions on division that are hard in general, The pyro lady from new york, the aaron keener mission and tidal basin.

You can use for those a 3x empress , 2x hana, 1x wyvern , doesnt matter their lvl, you place a drone + turret and than you can play safely. for chest you use kinetik momentum(better) or overwatch, and for the backpack tech support or if you want to shoot a lot combined arms.

Granted you could just ask someone for help on those missions.

I'm starting to get the hang of these L4 Control Points. I find positioning and picking a good spot ahead of time are more important than anything else as a red build

Also, waiting until you’ve cleared it, restocked, and gotten into position before calling for support to defend it is a good tactical strategy.

Yeah, I like to situate myself with a full restock before fighting the other wave. Oddly I find the counter attack to be harder a lot of the time than the CP itself

I dunno what the meta is, but I find the Hyenas and their stupid high damage aggressive AI to be the hardest enemy faction in the game. Anyone else agree? I rate Black Tusk and their stupid Warhounds a close second

I find a lot of Rikers enemies will walk out of cover or run towards me often making them easy kills. BT is just plain difficult due to their understanding of flanking and covering fire to pressure me

i find the outcasts the easiest and the hardest at same time, for one they can be super easy to clear with some incredibly easy weakspot. on the other hand, sometimes i get a sneaky suicider elite that 1 taps me urgh

Tidal basin is buggy. Other strongholds you can toggle mission mode to do legendary, you have to complete the invaded missions to run tidal basin as legendary. Might be the same issue with manhunt. Not sure since I haven’t completed the manhunt.

Asking because my PC isn't great, and I want to limit how many programs I have open if I can. But I also want to buy it on Steam for the Steam Points if I only need Ubisoft Connect to launch it after.

Things are rather good or bad if you play to the niche.
Its the same with other stuff aswell.
Nego is bad at single target damage. MMRs needs heads to pop. And skillbuilds fail if you meet a hunters emp.

The chameleon is a catastrophe at range and the ammo drain is there. But if you play it to its strenght - guard spawn points, stay close. Then it can melt.
