im trying to farm expertise lol and i did all brand and gear sets, mostly named and exos, and unused/garbage skills remained which uses a lot of resources, Im almost at lv 14, sooo if i d create a 2nd character and did wony again would i get 800 shd lv in misc? Or do you have any tips for expertise?

depends on your current level, you get as many SHD levels on alts to spend as you have on main as the level is account wide
800 points are static that can only be allocated towards the stats, so you get your level - 800 worth of salvage points to spend

if you current level is 1000 and you level a new alt (create character, start at 30, level 30 to 40 and finish Keener mission to get watch) then you'll have 200 salvage points to spend
If your current level is 1600 then it's 800 salvage points to spend
if your current level is 3000 then you'll have 2200 salvage points to spend etc

best way imo for expertise is to approach is from multiple angles - donate everything (except exotics) to expertise (before scrapping the rest), buy any named items you're not proficient in on every weekly reset from various vendors where available (get credits from watch points for this, I keep watch points on main for this purpose as credits are one of the few materials that aren't account wide) as you only need to get up to 20 to level them from 0 to 10 with donation

Run CD with target loot of certain brand/gear sets you're not done yet (in expertise screen they'll show a number under their brand/gearset icon, if they show nothing they're done) to quickly donate those, as you need 100 to go from 0 to 10 on those

donate excess materials towards pieces that you don't think will be able to 1) get many of and 2) run often to level by just playing (so mostly certain less used skills and exotics, and some niche PvP pieces perhaps)

if you want to spend wony runs on it, then you level an alt => either spend all their salvage points on filaments and donate those, or spend all salvage points on credits then buy mods (should be about 4515 or so per mod) up to 100 per bulk, scrap all, repeat - this gives ~30% more filaments per salvage point but also takes much longer
This is a slow way and is mostly for either if you have super high levels (as the higher level, the more salvage points you get per wony run) or just want to brute force it, not super recommended to not burn out

TL;DR work on it from multiple angles and sources so you don't burn yourself out over it

Convenient way for especially lower level content is to make an expertise train set where you can use 1-2 weapon slots, at least one gear slot, and 1-2 skill slots to slot in anything you normally never use just to train it to 10 and swap it out again
Level of content doesn't matter for this, as it just trains with kill XP which is the same, so technically best when you help out with say story missions and have many kills happening

Not necessarily true, I was 1v4 a group yesterday. They were super squishy against my spotter build. Id drop 1 or 2 run and hide re gain armor then back to it. Not gonna lie I was knocking out 2-3 at a time then not having enough time to put in armor before getting dropped by the 4th. My dz spotter build is 🔥

I think I want to make a Future Initiative loadout. I like the idea of a support-type role that doesn't just heal but buffs damage. 35% damage buff on skills and weapons for the whole team is pretty great.

Think I might do support/damage hybrid skill loadout for it one heal skill and one damage one. Maybe throw BTSU data gloves in there and I can use my Doctor Home too.

Feels like it would be a nice switch-up.

@vague pecan was a while ago now but we were talking about a hybrid status/DPS loadout with the new named pieces. It turned out to be super fun and crazy status/CC and MR loadout. I went for Cherished, The Courier, 2 x hotshot, Vile as far as I recall. The CC was nuts on it.

Hey quick question is there anything planned to fix the latest weapon which were released -> HK GR9 and TKB-408 ? Obviously there are shader issues, attachment issues etc. reload animation doesn't match and so on. I'd like to use these but since they look ulgy af even with the skins and animation are broken I have trouble using them

hacking in D2 only benefits the hacker and why they feel the need to do a run as fast as possible or to troll in DZ for view(s)ers, it doesnt stop or interrupt the sale of currency in-game.. so its not a problem for said company, it doesnt mess with the monthly income.. MMO's and things like Second Life, keep 95% of your character/inventory info on their servers, so its a little more complicated to "break into" and manipulate things and makes it easier for them to catch you cheating..
games like Dead By Daylight actively ban IF they get enough complaints filed a certain amount of time.. Overwatch takes into account how many complaints against that person (spamming chat for example) and acts on that automatically..
again.. not saying its right.. but if youre a company making $150K a month on 1 game.. do you care how many times little Timmy on his Xbox kills other players in a day..

you get proficiency to rank 10 on your gear and then you get an expertise level after you are proficient with so many items, idk the exact numbers. but expertise lets you upgrade gear to have small benefits, like expertise level 1 lets you have +1% weapon damage on any weapon you are proficient with once you upgrade it. for amor itd be 1% armor

Why is matchmaking for countdown so toxic? Over 75% of my countdowns result in it disbanding or being kicked because im not 2500 SHD. People are essentially being gatekept out of content because I dont have hundreds of days played. Its asinine.

This was my thinking as well. I think pure healing is overkill for heroic so I made a Future Initiative set last night but it's hybrid. So, I have a massive healing hive that recharges super fast due to BTSU data gloves and heals everyone. But I rolled skill damage on the pieces so I can run an offensive skill in the other slot.

So, I'm not super defenceless, getting some kills and I'm healing and buffing the whole team's damage by 25% which is great.

if this is Heroic, you'll find it a lot less toxic at Challenging difficulty and the loot is almost on par (you'll get fewer coins, but that's offset by being more likely to extract successfully)
