for striker don't use a chameleon at all, it's a short-range weapon and you lack armor. Run a Famas or something, maybe an ACS-12 to build stacks fast

No the people running the raid would be open to teaching you just let them know you’re new and most likely what they’ll do is assign you a position where you’ll just be guarding an area and shooting stuff. As you become more involved you can ask to do other positions or if you have a necessary build such as hazpro, tank true patriot, whatever you might be the only one with it and would have to take on the demanding roles which aren’t hard but they are more involved

Someone at level 1k vs say level 10k, the 10k would have the advantage of far more likely and easier maxed expertise 21% WD on weapons and some (even if it's not a lot) armour extra for example, and minorly improved skills

I thought it might've been Win11's 22H2 update (that now just got pushed more starting this January, I got it installed end of January) that ruined it as that's around the time it started to somewhat crash (maybe once a day or two vs nothing for upwards of months on end with like 8h+ per day)

Then tested multiple GPU driver versions with clean installs, thought it might've been new Broadcast + OBS + new beta discord interfering as having those open seemed to have more crashes but it turned out to be just a coincidence

Went back to clean fresh Win 10 and very quickly had 2 same type crashes and just went back to previous install, luckily cloned SSD so could return to exact state in case it'd not work

Now contemplating setting up a dual boot for either Windows 7 or Linux as apparently those seem to not crash often or at all (Win 7 likely being that EAC is simply not even able to run, preventing a lot of crashes) - though reports on it are scarce

problem with version number is some people confuse the installer that installs the exe => the exe that installs the driver => the sys driver's version
all 3 have different versions

Funnily enough with Div2 here we tend to make it somewhat more stable by running EAC on just 1 thread (say Core 0 in affinity) and it seems to be helpful for some
In Elden Ring it's a massive performance and stability improvement to run it with all except core 0 as it has some weird thing binding itself to core 0 no matter what causing stutters that completely go away when you forbid it from using core 0 (after that you can even re-check core 0 too and it'll be fine for that run)

the one in games folder is a separate older installer that installs a version 4.0.0.0 of that exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat but then as soon as the game launches it changes that to 6.0.0.0 and throws in latest .sys driver next to it too with less than a month old signature (and that exe goes from a ~700kB file to the ~1.1MB 6.0.0.0 one that's an identical file to the latest one you download from EAC's site)

But when the game runs, services.exe (presumably called somewhere by the game) runs on a system permission level that adjusts both EasyAntiCheat.exe and EasyAntiCheat.sys files found in Program Files, meaning regardless of their version, they get changed on startup to be the latest
I presume an update service checking their version on game launch
Blocking internet access from the EAC.exe directly doesn't circumvent it as it's not doing it itself

I've seen it being suggested that the EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe in the D2 game files themselves is outdated and how it should be updated, grab the latest from EAC and just change the name to EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe and put it there
Not knowing that that file is not called normally, and its version is irrelevant as it's a setup that places a EasyAntiCheat.exe in program files which could be any other version (and gets updated afterwards potentially anyway)

Yeah I think I'm saying it from the perspective that it's such a chaotic mess that it could've easily been another variable, I've multiple times thought I pinpointed something helping pretty accurately and turned out it was a coincidence and it was another variable that changed around the same time

It could be that they updated this method and it might've been a range of accepted versions that's not accepted anymore, as now the driver signature is 31st of Jan which is quite new

So I tried to replace EAC exe with a chinchilla holding hands gif (renamed to the exe) and it worked

HSD and CHD multipliers are added together first so they're on the same diminishing returns (i.e. if you say have super high CHD, and do a crit headshot with 100% HSD stat, you won't get double the damage of a crit bodyshot, it'll be a far smaller increase)

such a shot will count as a crit for something like ND gearset for duplicating damage (and benefits from your CHD), and also regularly counts as a headshot (and benefits from your HSD too, just as I mentioned there's diminished returns between the two as they're not independent multipliers)

Any targeted loot for Chest piece has a chance to, and since for the Summit you can actually choose your targeted loot then it very well can. Summit should be your last option though - always see if Lincoln memorial has it, then see if it's in any of the free-world regions (if so, farm your favorite CP4 for it)

techinically if you wanted you can keep swapping your 4 pieces of gear to brands and putting in skill tier, the only 2 that really matters and really helps you is the Empress Cesar's Guard Chest and Battery Pack back pack as those 2 paired tends to refill your oxidizer ammo and you can manage to stay in cover facing the door they're coming out of

Thank you for the tips, I will definitely try that out, and I think I'll get some more pieces with skill tiers aswell to atleast get my oxi to level 6 definitely going to be useful for extra damage etc. Also running technician for the extra passives

the robotic passive helps with the warhounds and mini tanks and the skill damage are probably the only useful perks unless you're talking in terms of having an armor or weapon core

Yeah those the ones mainly, the extra damage towards warhounds and mini tanks is pretty useful, the hive you get from it is also pretty useful

It all does add up nicely, it's definitely a bit tough sometimes while running it solo, but slowly getting the hang of things, just gotta sort my build out a bit better and I'm sure I'll be alright to farm it out

there used to be a time the difficulty level was just increasing it's difficulty, but they changed it previous season or 2? Normal should be done by solo casual player, hard 4 casual players, challenging 8 casual players and heroic = extremely well equipped agents which they describe as Hardcore

what that farm is doing : each time an enemy dies 1-4 people are getting their experience calculated, dropping gear if they're going to drop it, handing out proficiency caches, handing out expertise experience, loading up the oxidizer being put on everyone's screen, the damage ticking. at this point hope you know there's no way to better you system to the point you don't lag

It's a 2sec timeout in theory now but in practice it's often closer to 10 if you hang as it registers the disconnect first then only exits after you force close the game

I think one of the biggest steps you can take at doing heroic CD at earlier levels is just hosting them yourself (or every time you join to proclaim that you have a good/maxed strikers/hazres CC build, know what to do, and hope they read it fast enough, that worked for me too) + doing a quick inspect on people to get a generic idea if it'll be doable or not

VIP is good for loot I’ve noticed, if you are farming for countdown credits then shd crates and hack terminals will be good as they’re faster.

The problem with them is the ads don’t drop much loot and they’re done in less than a minute if done correctly. So essentially they’re for speedrunning
