I think might be a decision they put in the engine we can't modify, normally games might give a background FPS option for that but didn't see anything about it in Div2 so I don't think we can modify it from dropping to fairly low FPS while tabbed out, normally nice to conserve power and heat while tabbed but can be jarring with choppy FPS if you tab out but are actually still looking at something in game while checking something in browser for example

Pretty good game, wouldn't sink more than 20hours into the game though. As soon as you start collecting or doing challenges you will quit 9-5 job, divorce you're fat, unhappy, unsatisfied wife and life of government checks for the rest of your sad existence. You are now a destiny 2 player. There is no going back. you WILL rack up 12hours a day doing the same raid/dungeon grinding for the same item over and over and over just for it to drop the right perk/stats to do an approximate extra damage of 5,000. This is what it has come too, playing the same activity for at least 400hours to get a weapon that does a little bit more damage. Destiny 2 is one of the few games I keep coming back to because not only does the game simply feel good to play, the content drops tend to shake the meta tree pretty hard and the old content feels new again with my new toys to play with. Bungie has been steadily lowering the grind barrier for entry to endgame content and generally listening to their community about content difficulty increases, so it continues to appeal to me as a game that offers enough challenge to be engaging without requiring you to spend 8 hours learning the mechanics and nuances for a single encounter. The grind there is very similar in feel to the grind in Division 2 in that you’re showered in loot, however you’re going to spend days (or weeks) chasing after this one specific roll that fits your build.

The grind is unlike Warframe or other games where you’re grinding to merely unlock something - you’re grinding to get a perfect version of something you already have.

The meta change shifts because Bungie has actively designed it to shift. There are “seasonal mods” which are intentionally broken powerful but only linger for 3-4 months. People who want to do top-tier build crafting can and will build around these mods to get 100% out of them, however for the rest of us we can easily swap our existing stuff around in minutes (due to the design of the mod system) and utilize them at 90-95%.

Jefferson and grand Washington are also in their own way annoying cause they’re long

Floor 10 is good for legendary farm, floor 90 is good for any farm since there are 3 bosses. But they have different strategies to keep the checkpoint for repeat farming.
