i would always suggest starting out with weapon damage builds using something like striker , heartbreaker or negotiators

skill builds are lacking damage badly compared to proper weapon damage sets

This still applies, as far as I can think of (I played Console since TD2 Beta , took a break in '22 and came back a few weeks ago - starting over on PC)

Do everything you can do in the area:

Look for the backpack zone in the map.

Complete hostile actvities, like public executions, convoys, patrols, territory controls

Capture CPs

When all CPs become green, hostage rescues start to spawn, completing them gives additional bounty (better than executions, less NPC and hostage cannot be killed)

Complete bounties too

Open all crates what you find, even they mostly contains "trash", always have 1% chance to get a targeted loot exotic from there

In open world, I use to set 3 directives on heroic difficulty when I farm for something targeted.

And the most important: Do it in a full group. Each drop what other player get can contains exotic too, so 4 times more chance to someone get a Memento what can share to you.

avoid the countdown/anderson area of the map. If you want to do summit solo, zoom all the way into the map then take cursor all the way to the top and slide to the right. Avoid the helicopter pilot, trying to move the menu down will cause a crash.

your guess is as good as anyone else's. Assumption is we've got a few years since they launched on steam recently. I'd think even if we stopped getting seasons as we do, they'd probably switch to doing global leagues/events every so often to keep things a little fresh, similar to what happens with Div1.

it's correct btw, 1% skill efficiency gives 2% skill haste, only 1% in the other stats (unless there's another outlier), we just talked about it in another channel and I remembered it being mentioned yesterday here

So it visually gives 2% haste per 1% efficiency on stats page which might confuse people, but in terms of actual cooldown given (by the cooldown in seconds on skills) it lines up with 1% haste per efficiency

You have to build your library which is the last option at the recalibration workbench or Emma Richards. You build the library with the goal to have max stats to transfer and all talents, you can only apply 1 on a piece of gear or weap. You have to donate those items to do so. The second to last option in the menu is where you apply from your library. Select the item, select the stat and hold x to replace it. It takes money and resources.

Optimization, I have not gotten into yet so someone else will have to advise on that.

4th tab: build your library of saved stats and talents
3rd tab: put the saved stuff from library onto weapons/gear (of the same kind as saved)
2nd tab: optimise the stats of a piece, allowing you to increase the stats bit by bit until maxed out, on that specific piece (can't extract optimised stats)
1st tab: become proficient (level 10) with gear and weapons, gaining expertise level which is the upper cap how much you can upgrade skills and individual items there to higher expertise level for a minor gain, very long term goal

So you basically work backwards, starting with 4th panel, in terms of accessibility and experience in game

get a "good enough" piece dropped that has all the attributes and/or talent the exact type you want on it, except max 1 can be off (as you can recalibrate only one stat or talent on a piece)

Only issue I have is crashing randomly. Sometimes it’s rare, bad timings. Sometimes it goes every 5-10 mins of startup. Other times it’s perfectly normal throughout the entire game.

One day I tried playing, after 6 crashes of trying to play the game. 30-45 mins go by. Other times I experience maybe a random crash here and there. If none for a very long time.
