Which raids are actually populated for pub matchmaking on pc

the ingame matchmaker for raids is only for discovery mode raids, those arent the real raids and dont have any of the real rewards, they are dumbed down variant that were intended so people could learn the raids, but they kinda fail at that

if you are interested in raiding, get a decent enough build together, watch a video or two on the raid you want to do so you kinda know what is going to happen, and try to join a group trough #lfg-raid-pc for a normal mode raid

most of the raids set up trough there are more than willing to teach a newbie or two per run that they do, another option is to find a clan that does teaching raids, and run the raids with them

A lot of guys in here help people for both raids,but Dark Hours is def. easier to get into,once you think you are ready for extra step try Iron Horse its amazing.

I got it in summit in like 30 floors while targeted loot was on masks

Because the boss "coyote" literally wears it

its a 7% drop from that final boss on heroic on a 12-ish min mission, on average you would need 14 runs of jtc to get the coyote mask, you are likely better of farming countdown with mask TL to get it, although now with 3 exotic mask in the exotic loot pool for mask TL it is more up for debate, but still likely in favour toward countdown TL

the moment JTC is really better is if its mask TL on that mission, and you are double dipping in boss drop chance and TL mask chance

but that is up to the daily TL rotation rng

now does that mean that you shouldnt farm it in jtc, not really, it is rng and you may get lucky, and it may be best to do a little of each just for the variation,
but countdown TL is likely going to be faster on average

also it is now a little closer than in the past as we went from 2 to 3 exotic mask, in the past it was way way in favour of farming any TL, not even countdown, but countdown with its high amount of drops still skews it in favour of TL over boss farms even with 3 exo masks now

nah, plenty of pug groups you can join from in #lfg-raid-pc that are willing to carry one or two full newbies trough on each run they do, what you will want to do is get a semi decent red build together so you can somewhat carry your own in there, and if you havent done them in a long while, watch a vid guides as a refresher as to how they work, and just tell the groups you join you are new and listen to the raid lead

also you could join one of the many newbie friendly clans over in #td2-clan-recruitment that do teaching/carry raids, most of the time they will also have what they require of you buildwise in their discords, and they usually help you farm for it aswell

Yeah if you did all the others, then you gotta do Castle Clinton since it is a Must-Have in order to progress. I had that issue too, thinking "Side quest, I'll do it later..." and nope. 😄

countdown is a little more filled with idiot leaders, with raids you are less likely to be booted, especially if you join a clan to do it, there its usually tht they wont take more than 2 not maxed build/shd trough each run, but if its a good clan then there is just going to be a little wait till you can tag allong, most more advanced players know that good players are worth more than just shd lvl or not maxed out builds, and if they dont, leave and try again with a different clan

also, for that keener mission, you need to have reached lvl 40, which is also something most players will not have reached if you only did all the required parts (4 manhunts+castle clinton), so you have to do some of the optional side missions or projects to reach lvl 40.

Hey guys, I was "competitive" in Season 1, had all the builds, all exotics with incredible stats, yada yada, I remember quitting at the time because when WONY came out, Ubisoft killed pretty much all the builds, specially the BTSU Grenade build and almost everything skill related TBH. My friends want to get back to the game but I'm a little reluctant, is the game still a Glass DPS or go home or do you have to grind your watch like crazy until you have high stats so you can not go glass cannon or bust in challenger and above?

Hard Wired was nerfed TO THE GROUND back in Season 1. It was playable with BTSU Datagloves before WONY. In fact it was one of the most fun ways to play

They were aware at some point because back then, even more items were affected by this, but those got fixed eventually. With the new season, new gear, new game mode etc. coming up, I'd assume, though, that this doesn't really have any priority at all. I mean... it's been a year now and they still haven't fixed the Dread Edict MMR's scope.

It’s great in my opinion (PC). Played before on the playstation at release. Also a great experience Picked this game up back 3 weeks ago on PC. Having such a blast. And i hear that more often, that PC population is dead, but havent really experienced that. Without no time i found 3 other beginners, even more, and now we grinding together as newbies🤣 The crashing occured twice for me. Tweaking the graphics (Ultra —> High) and some settings made it work smoothly. Ah and people are also very helpful, a lot of experienced players on PC that just wanna help out.

Specialization are a small part of a build. Having a good build matters more. In place of coyotes mask you can use ceska or grupo mask for now. Focus on getting your gear/ weapons 1st. and that makes everything else easier.

What to do with a duplicate exotic? Deconstruct it or donate to expertise

keep two of the same exo at most, and deconstruct the rest to get a exotic component per decon, those get used at higher expertise lvls to upgrade weapons to higher expertise lvls past 10

best to start building up a stockpile of those for when you reach that point

and keeping two is so you can keep the best stat one, and if you want to try to go for good stats on it, you can reconfigure the worse one to maybe get it higher than the other, piggybacking them like that to be high enough that you reach a point you can just finish it off with optimisation

depends on activity and difficulty and time in the season. No seasonal activities so experienced players likely taking a break before next week. Matchmaking always faster on heroic than lower difficulties (except during league speedruns). Missions that aren't part of daily or weekly projects or have other strong attractions will also be lot quieter.

ive personally done 3k levels in the span of a week back in 10F days so i know this can be possible but not with any method similar to that one right now. so one possibility is full auto headhunting which you can tell from API data such as headshots per hour. Theres a discord bot that can be used to track that

dx 12 is allot smoother, but it does indeed make the game crash more for some, but its not a given, so best to try for yourself, for instance i have more chrashes with dx11 on one of my pcs actually, but that is also somewhat due to my setup of that pc

its 4pc hunters fury, chainkiller, D&H with wicked (I know recommended is vigilance and i tried it, but the buff is rarely up for me while wicked has much more uptime. Ontop of that I dont need vigilance to get my first onetap off, i tap reds and purples just fine.) with as much headshot damage as I can add.

Only thing i can see helping my issue in group content is knowing enemy spawns.
