Just farm lvl 3+ control points until you have it. Each clear will give you a random blueprint you don't have. I suggest farming either Martin Luther King Memorial or Navy Plaza control points since they're really fast.

After clearing it you just reset the map and rinse and repeat until you have the blueprint.

And if you didn't know you just set the global setting to Challenging or Heroic so they're lvl 3 or lvl 4 right from the start. So you don't have to level them up by doing nearby activities.

One of the most alt friendly games I've ever seen amongst all MMOs

but funnily enough in some ways that also reduces some traditional desires for an alt, but it's very beneficial for sure

almost everything that you own on main, you also have access to on alts (except for hardcore characters of course), one of the only exceptions is specialisation levels/points

you can transfer over any item via the stash (it's shared), you can wear your best items/mods on any character that way so there's no bound to character kind of thing

most materials, all blueprints and such are shared too

But the biggest mechanic essentially that makes it worth (outside of how you can do the weekly stuff on alts too, especially the easy ones like SHD requisition where you just donate and that's it, and then share/send that reward over) is how your SHD levels are shared across all characters, but you get rewards for each level on all characters

So if your main levels up say 100 SHD levels, you get 100 watch points, that (after 1000, before that one in 5) means that's 100x materials you can buy from watch
now if you log over to another character you can spend another set of that 100 too

this works retroactively too, if you're say SHD level 5000, that means if you then create a brand new character, boost it to 30, level quickly from 30 to 40, obtain watch from Keener, you now have 4200 (5000-800) watch points to spend on the materials you can gain from it

I made one very early, like SHD level 100-200 range or so, and even though at that point it didn't give a lot of materials in one go, I could still do whatever weekly I wanted duplicate on it (I once sent over a semi decent "good enough" DPS build to use on that character that stays on it), and ever since then every time I level up I gain the levels still on it so occasionally I log over and collect a bunch of rewards, just pure passively
And I can store some extra items on it as storage whenever

ya having more simultaneously is mostly just for storage really, if you don't want to bother with more activities on them in some way

once you get high SHD levels (the higher, the more benefit you gain from this) you can also do the loop of creating character => hitting 40 (this can be done anywhere from couple hours to as little as like 1h or so if you have help) => gaining a bazillion SHD salvage points to spend on e.g. SHD calibration points or anything, delete character, repeat
in basically a couple hours you gain an insane amount of materials that'd take perhaps many months or years to gain otherwise

but at that point there's other things you can work towards (like expertise) that take long anyway so it's not like you're instantly maxed out in every way possible in the game

but being able to do these gives me the feeling at least the game somewhat respects my time more than a lot of games where it's artificially a lot worse

the easiest is to go to a high summit floor (as the chance seems to increase the higher floor you are) and as soon as you exit the elevator if the rogue agents detected line from isaac does not play, to suicide with a grenade and reset, every time you spawn from the elevator there is a chance to spawn them (aslong as they arent on cooldown if you killed some recently)

and for the hunters the openworld puzzle hunters and the summit hunters count, but not countdown

One thing I noticed, when planning to reuse my Playstation builds, is that I don't remember which I used for Legendary. 😅 I can assume the FIs were for sure Legendaries (healers/combat medic).

And a lot of them were basically shotgun (Scorpio - SFX) with BTSU gloves or Coyote Mask and recently (?) the waveform holster. 😮 And of course Vectors (yeah, basically a SMG/Shotgun person).
Summit shield/shotgun/smg build. think that was a hybrid (2blue/4yw tech)

Gotta reconfigure some of them until I can fill those spots in properly. 🤔

But all those don't take into account the new stuff that came out, which I need to look at as well. Or maybe stick with the old for now. 🧓

Nothing wrong with Crusader. That (if I'm remembering right) is a nice shield to use with smg/shotguns. Easier to use than the bulwark.

i would recommend just going that final bit, as the boost will complete all dc sidemissions you havent done yet, and you do skip some story parts,
if you really want to boost, do it on a second character, and maybe come back to to your current one after

also the world tiers can be done pretty quickly, its allot less missions than 1-30

@lean wasp basically the endgame is just 'get stronger'. This is mostly done by improving your gear (via farming, recalibration, optimisation, expertise), gaining watch levels, and improving your gameplay skills. At first you'll also want to be focusing on building your recalibration library, getting blueprints from control points, maxing all the specialisation points etc.

it'll take quite a while to get all the blueprints from CPs but I wouldn't farm them nonstop, you'll just burn out. Do a variety of different content (I usually do the daily & weekly projects, for instance). Only level 3 and 4 CPs actually drop blueprints, by the way, so you may need a stronger build first.

That’s part of the proficiency/expertise system. Don’t really need to worry about that till after you have a couple solid builds. But playing with items, donating gear and resources will increase that rank of proficiency. There is a lot more to explain but that’s the first part. Might see if there are any YouTube videos on the subject.

I felt like when I was new to the proficiency and expertise system I couldn't find a short TL;DR description to how it worked to easily get my head around it so here's my take:

Proficiency is levelled up by either using gear and weapons or donating gear or weapons of that type. You can also use various resources and donate them towards levelling up proficiency.
All increases in any weapons or gear types proficiency will also go towards levelling up your overall Expertise level.

The Expertise system can be broken up into two parts. First the above mentioned overall expertise level which sets a limit for how high you can rank up a certain weapons or gear items expertise.
Secondly, once a weapon or gear type is at proficiency rank 10 you can rank up it's expertise which for that particular weapon or gear item adds +1% damage/armor.

Fun part of that, especially with gear, is to throw six of the same brand/named together, run thru heroic/challenging missions - or legendary if you're that brave. Quicker proficiency levelling. 😄 (well, when I ran with the folks I used to on the console)

Might not always be the best, but it can be a fun time to learn things group wise. If your other three mates are properly kitted out, then it'll be a easy time to work up the proficiency that way.

Alright, yeah that's probably faster. So far I have only made sure to consistently donate all weapons I loot as trash and donate to expertise as soon as my inventory is full and it's moving along fairly nicely anyway. I think I returned to TD2 about two weeks ago and started with the WONY DLC and I'm almost at expertise level 8 now 🙂

I think as the more commonly looted stuff gets to max proficiency I might turn to using specific weapons or gear that you don't easily get many of. Unless I've at that point got tons of material to just donate to rank their proficiency up.
