MMRs aren't difficult to use, but you would either be doing pop shots from cover (without 8x scopes) or aiming down the sight for long with 8x scopes or higher and lose spatial awareness as a consequence. It's player preference, I think, but good MMR/HS builds are dope.

There's the constant stress, I believe, of consistently hitting your shots because MMRs have notoriously slow rates of fire as you know. So you gotta be confident in yourself.

I'd like to see a PvE game mode where you defend a FOB and the ground around it is fairly open. Harder and harder waves of enemies coming at you. Oh, and no loot clutter all over the ground but instead all loot gained presented to you in an orderly fashion after you finished.

I'd so love that kind of mechanic, I think it has some charm that loot drops everywhere but I'd find it amazing to have something like many MMOs have where loot you miss will just be in your mailbox to pick up later

My biggest annoyance of CD is running around like chicken without heads trying to not miss any loot that dropped in narnia all over the place, weighing off the benefits of collecting it vs being late to wherever another group is rushing to and missing out on drops there because you're not present so they won't drop

it just seems so counter productive to me to chase that while doing something with a tight timer where you need to be fast

Yep! I completely agree with you there. I don't want to complain about lots of loot but CD is just like a big hectic loot pinata. It would be better if you could sift through all loot that dropped for you at the end screen and decide what to do with it (decon, junk/keep).

Exactly, I'm fairly new still so I'm not burnt out from doing it much and it gets better with experience, but I still feel like it takes away so much from being able to enjoy it to have constant anxiety and pressure about missing loot

And while the runs are successful, even on HC sometimes people split off, occasionally you even have 2 different objectives being done simultaneously so you only get loot from one of them (I stopped going over to where the other team finished because other than some basic materials, there's 0 loot, I assume none drop if you weren't present for the kills)

And my other screen is this picture as reference while checking where I am on the minimap (comparing north orientation) vs the reference and going through the potential chests as I find they're often skipped otherwise

yeah, both dc and ny content is scaled up to lvl 40, first thing to start thinking about is getting a build together,
you can either have a look #td2-build-advice , where in the pinned comments there is a link to this discords spreadsheet, in the hub tab you can find a ton of written build guides,
and also this is my recommended build list, at the top are some starter recommendations, but the written guides in the sheet are easier to follow if you are newer:

and then just run missions/countdown/summit or any of the content to farm the build you want together, also you could try joining a clan to have regular people to play with

I'm shdlvl 100, farmed legendary summit to get a god roll full build, i have pretty much the same equip of most players that melt me, the only difference is shdlevel. they all over 3k and i can't play at all, that's a gap i can't cover with skill or different build. I wouldn't suggest getting into DZ PvP until you max out your watch. Doesn't mean don't go in there. You'll still be able to win some fights if you play it right. And it's not PvP 24/7 there... a lot of people are just farming landmarks. Post your build in #td2-build-advice if you want tips on how to make it better.

the difference is shd level and experience, by shd 500 you will be only 5%-ish percent behind in dmg if you use your watch points on chc and chd on the red stats first to max those 2, and experience just comes with time and learning from others, watch some vids, maybe join a pvp clan, and just keep pvp-ing

they can drop at any difficulty, even story, but the chances go up as you increase difficulty, and directives indirectly also increase the chance by increasing the amount of TL loot you receive, so more chances from more TL drops

I found a really fast way to farm shd levels last night. Well, at least I think it's fast. I got around 20 shd levels in around 1,5 hours.

you max out all the stats in your watch at 999, you dont get to pick where to spend your points completely freely, it rotates around trough each category, meaning you will also have 200 points in resources when 1000 that arent spendable on stats

Try to farm resource convoys, they can be completed in minutes and with every directive active, you gain a whole SHD level for each convoy completed.

Alright, I might give that a shot but what I do right now is farm Navy Plaza control point on challenging with 4 directives (all except the ammo thing). It's so small and narrow where the enemies come at you when you attack and when you defend you can run up to the minigun and take out all attackers real fast before they even get to you. Also helps that I run Negotiators Dilemma with Bullet King so I can just spam when I attack. When the enemies bob and weave and duck for cover I get them anyway by switching targets.

I find it's easier probably than convoy farm since it's the same route all the time and I don't have to think much.

The challenges are not to level up the spec. If you don't have the year one pass, you have to do them all just to unlock the spec, otherwise they just have cosmetic rewards.

If you have the ultimate edition then that includes the year one pass. So only cosmetic rewards for doing the field research. On a side note, the guy laid up in the hospital is Schaeffer (black tusk commander) - he's still in a coma but now we know he was s secretly on our side. Anderson is a new true sons leader, hasn't been mentioned prior to the last two seasons.

You could just boost to WONY if you don't want to plug through the tiers. No chance of cross save or cross play coming though. I would say the new legendaries (Zoo and Tidal Basin) are a bit tougher than the older ones but not vastly.

Boosting should also save you some of the hassle of farming cps for weapon mod blueprints as it will unlock many of them

especially if you have done the campaign once already,
as the main campaign is kind of long, i replayed it recently and got to WT5 in 11.5 hours, solo and going at a good pace, but without any scaling boost from lvl40's or them being fast travel pawns, its a decent chunk of time compared to wony, as you can probably double that for a first time player going at a casual pace

25% twd for the whole group/raid when they are at full health. Your heals aren't anything special but it's enough to top people off. The chem heal will heal a 80-90% of a red build to full instantly without anything invested in repair skills. It's great to have in DH or countdown when your group otherwise doesn't need a dedicated healer to still get the twd buff

what's the matchmaking / pvp like, due to small player base?

On the Playstation, I haven't had any problems with matching (mind you, I was doing like Legendaries and Heroics). I don't recall how it was low level matching.

However, on the PC side, as a low level (fresh 30 into WT1), I didn't get much of a match making, other than the rare shepard calls.

And I don't do Rogue stuff really, so can't tell on that unfortunately.
