Most people actually suck, this game is severely PvE oriented so your PvP kings are people who understand the mechanics + have actual solid built in aim for competitive games

Just ensure you can reliably track heads and strafe well and build providing, you'll do pretty well

I got shot in the back by a rogue, decoy'd ran and healed, the dude's teammate flags rogue and jumps down, doesn't know I'm there and I just beamed him in the head when he was mid jump

This was all my first experience at trying to actually look for fights

I'll probably get absolutely fucking dunked on if I run into much better players but for a triple stack they were meh 1v1

In a very small niche it's got the highest DPS in the game, but you need to be in a situation where you can prep it, time your reload, then dump that clip. It used to be used in buddy/Lucy DH speedruns before one shotting them was a thing, and there's still a use for them in IH speeds.

First theres keener second theres whatever builds you want (striker if you want to destroy everything in your path) then theres 1k SHD watch grind then theres expertise which has 20 or 21 levels and is extrenely grindy (takes at least a month to do if you play nonstop) then theres pvp which is fun solo if you are against people who dont have overpowered builds or those who dont use hacks etc

warhound legs don't have any armor but they do have damage reduction so it's a trade-off whether it's faster to shoot the legs or body (unless using headhunter, which seems to bypass the damage reduction)

legs are unarmored on all three warhounds but that's different from the weakpoints. Grenade warhounds don't have the same type of weakspot afaik (one that temporarily disables them when broken) but it does have more unarmored spots

Watch vids and be somewhat competent before you get in tbh. I did that with DH, enough that I knew what to do on most fights and I had no struggle on Razorback. The most difficult fight to get, for me, was Boomer

Isn't having full health when you receive over 100% (armor/health) damage basically an i-frame tho

in PVE specifically

It is. But minitank grenades can set shit on fire. Those I-frames don't last long enough to heal.

So anything that wipes your bars + applies a damaging status effect, is essentially a death sentence.

It's the same reason a lot of people go down to Outcast Rushers on Heroic. Their Armor/Health get blasted to hell and the fire finishes off whoever the poor sob at the receiving end is.

The only way to survive something like that is to hope that a hive or chem hits you with some fat heals. Otherwise you're going down along with the res hive IF you have one available.

I think explosives are meant to deal extra damage to shields in the sense that damage to shields is scaled differently from damage to player armor. That would be my guess. But it's an assumption with nothing to back it up.
Could also be from weakpoint hits. In the few times I've run around with a shield, the ones that destroy it instantly are typically the explosive weakpoints that I get hit with from point blank.

Again, It's just my assumption. There's probably something else going on I'm just not aware of or know about.

Yeah, you don't want to stand close to NPCs like outcast throwers or assault cleaners. Even if you're not the one to do it, 7 times out of 10 one of your teammates will pop that weakpoint regardless if your standing next to the NPC or not.
And of 7 of those 10 times, I wouldn't be surprised if like 5 of them were intentional.

Whenever you take status effect, if the (duration time) x (1 - your hazard protection) are lower than 0.5second, then it immune, otherwise it's not
For example you mention 95.8% are critical point, then if we receive a emp which duration are 11.905second above, then we still got emp effect

Now it just builds stacks for getting body hits and heals your shield with headshots based on the number of stacks you have

Using a high RPM weapon is really the only way to consistently grab kills. People who run things like Memento tend to split from the group once they reach the objective and go on ad control.

Sometimes timing your shots so that you hit the NPC just as their HP is about to drop to 0 is one way to get the final shot with shotguns.

Unfortunately that's just how a lot of group content is. There's nothing that's best-in-slot, but in group content, anything requiring kills is always going to be a competition.
This is just a byproduct of how the game was made.

You could also block people's shots, but it's considered rude and selfish for a game mode that was made with groups in mind.
And ultimately if the other guy get's the kill, it's still a plus for everyone, not just you, because there's one less ad to deal with.

So yeah. Be competitive, but don't be an ass. People will chew you out because of it, and rightfully so.

But I have no ego, no point being defensive about this.

High RPM is double edge sword, the more you pelt the NPC obvious the better, but then it has lower over all damage, thus you'll run out of the clip before the NPC is dead. You lose the kill any how.

In the game so far, the only thing that rewards someone for tagging but not having the killing blow is On-going Directive, nothing else seems to be sympathetic about you having a close-to-final-killing-blow.

Countdown has a lot more open space to run around in, but it does happen sometimes. Me, being an HF player that needs to get up close, is something that happens from time to time, though rare.

I try to watch were I'm standing so I'm not blocking people. But it can be hard when like 5 other people are crowding around the boss.

You can't get Ridgeway from grinding unless you've crafted it at least once.

You have to buy the Blueprint for it if I'm not mistaken. It's something you get from Summit's chest.

Countdown does indeed drop Exotics, but with no Directives able to be added in, the main benefit to Countdown over Summit is: speed.

Yeah, you get the exotic components to craft Ridgeway's chest from the supply chests in Summit. Then you go buy the blueprint from Inaya and craft it.

Once you do that, it gets added to the loot pool.
