It's not worth the upgrades until you have a watch to utilize because the material costs are there as well.

So I guess even convoys got shadow nerfed. A good way to drive up shd now is probably control points at highest difficulty+directives you can manage. Others may have some better but I always found cp to be decent xp

what i'm assuming is happening is you have your capacitor/chatterbox out when you inspect the stats screen, which is taking the stats from your primary slot exotic, instead of your secondary slot gun

In your stats screen you can just hold g iirc and it will show you the stats of each weapon

Go to your stats page where it shows what your total chc/chd are. It will also show your current weapon. You can cycle through them by pressing G, you'll see the SMG has much higher chc than your other weapons.
