Brand over slot when possible because you have to take the number of different brands + gearsets, all having an item for that slot, plus any exotics that could be there when targeting slot. But when targeting brand you're only looking at the 6 basic pieces and maybe a handful of named/variants. It's a huge difference, but like he said, it's good to understand the reasoning behind the answer.

The pros for the vector are its top tier burst damage. The con is that its small clip and small damage per clip make it unable to kill ads in a single clip at higher difficulties. once you start needing multiple clips to kill things your ttk plummets, which explains azurs heroic+ comment

If you are blueprint hunting, it's faster to put the World Tier on Heroic.
Then all the Control Points are Level 4
(With named enemies, good loot drops as well)
You can just do the CP, without the need to do activities first.

But if you dont need loot and really just the blueprints, you can also do them on World Tier Challenging.
Even faster but less chance of good loot
(Good loot as in high rolled attributes)

I got a few Mementos so far, your best bet in my opinion would be farming for backpacks in Challenging or more difficult missions to get the best shot at getting one. I sometimes get enemies to poop out exotics I don't even care for, so go ahead!

If I remember well, directives do affect the loot drop rate or is it just the difficulty modifier? I can't tell for sure though.

each Directives added on slightly increases xp earned, as well as the chance that an enemy will drop the additional "Targeted Loot" drop.

the main modifier that difficulty has is when it's Challenging/Heroic/Legendary, enemies will only have Gold/Gearset/Exotic loot, so it's worth making Challenging your new lowest Difficulty ASAP.

See, the higher difficulty it is, the better the lowest possible % of stat rolls an item can have.

if at beginning dont really upgrade anyhing except maybe a good weapon you main all the time. Upgrades are locked to a single item . Skills are super costly. Not worth for most even at the end of expertise.
You dont want to spend mats on leveling either unless you have watch level enough to spam wony runs.
If you dont have watch level usage , item donation, and some crafting are top method for increasing expertise level.

End game- spend on weapons you have maxed with perfect stats and some choice skills.
For anything the cost is high, leveling 10-20 on an item cost 55 exotic components...
