if you have to play solo, you can always try to poke away at them slowly with a shield out

yeah if you go the shield way I recommend looking for forge as it increases shield health by 50% :o

the 50% from forge is additive to the normal shield health you get from shield tiers, so its only 50% if you have no blue/yellow cores on the build

with even 2 cores its already diminished to 25% true value, and 12.5% at 4 cores

and you are giving up a brand bonus for it, as incoming repair isnt usefull for a shield build anyway, so its not great overall

and just for completeness sake, you can also use 10% skill health from empress/motherly love named alps gloves to also increase the shield health (and that will be true 10% if its the only source of skill health), and with 5 or more cores that will outscale what a forge can give, but overall its alway considered better to jsut put it into chc or chd and just kill whatever is infront of you over trying to tank them 10% harder

motherly love, due to it being crafted only, isnt worth it, you can get the same amount of stats in other stuff, for example a empress glove with repair skill will have the same 10% skill health and 20% repair a motherly love will have, you could even move the 20% repair to a modslot if you really wanted the extra repair

and the not recommended from crafted is due to that crafted stuff almost never rolls full stats, and often is pretty bad rolls, requiring more optimisation overall than heroic lootable things.

Floor 10 is straight xp farm, highest difficulty you can do with a buncha directives, but just playing the game with world at higher diff with whatever directives you can handle gets you there organically. Convoys like this are fast because waves spawn from a single door or manhole so you can mow em

Countdown party leaders don't really mean anything, unless you're part of a private group. If it's just randoms, usually, you just follow where the group is going. Follow their lead and chill.

I never expect a CD party leader to make any calls. I just follow the group and that's that 😂

there are basic video guides out there too if you search but basically.

first, deactivate/activate the countermeasures (gaurded by hunters)
then do 2 of the 3 offered objectives.. here just wait until everyone goes to one of them and follow. focusing on the specific objective markers once inside an area is good.
then you do the main objective. again focus on objective, killing/supporting team
finally extract. hunters and badguys block extract zone, and reinforce in helicopters. this is major loot farm time. the fast you did the rest of CD the more time you have ehere.

note. when you get to extract zone, watch the timer. do not shoot flar to call chopper until timer is close to done. (giv emore time to kill waves and get loot)

VIP takes longer, but does have more loot in it. personally, id rather get things done, have time to look for crates for SHD, and spend extra time on teh extractin waves

and the actual silent ninjas of the sewers are called the underground, also with the chainsaw heavy
they arent really fleshed out factions, just some flavour, the underground does show up in a few true son missions, both for story in viewpoint and in federal emergency bunker as enemies in that first corridor

there is also the raiders in new york that are a similar minor faction, that are the guys in grey with balaclava masks

but if you are solo, the highest difficulty you feel you can handle that doesn't slow you down to a crawl

with a moderate build you should be able to atleast handle challenging, and work up from there as your build and game knowledge improves

at beginning, you clear hunters. at end, you clear hunters. it is thus preferred to run a red type build (no hackable skills).. but as long as you dont deploy them during hunters is what matters.

First, the current Div2 game and most of conversation here around builds and content makes the assumtionm you have completed Warlords of New York DLC and are level 40.

part of the answer here is up to you. if you feel you woudl liek a story refresh or want to do the story in a purely as-released fashion, then do so.

if your desire is to get to the current end game to begin grinding SHD levels, farmign gear, making builds, etc... then (WoNY DLC in hand) boost a character (existing or new) to 30, and hop on the helicopter from white house to New York. You will then be stuck in NY until lvl 40 when you will finish the final story mission and collect your SHD watch.

the quick way to level in NY solo is to focus on the main story track, and save side missions to get extra xp to finish leveling to 40 (last mission is lvl 40 gated)

to farm this gear, you will want to look at the map and 'show targeted loot' then do those content , run Summit and set your own targeted loot, or que for countdown with your own set targeted loot.

countdown will be tough going in as a fresh 40 with no build, but, if you can sneak through and get carried, it is the fastest way.

for starters though , check the builds sheet and decide what you are going for first.

Hunters Fury or Negotiators Dilema are arguably easier to farm than the red DPS items, but encourage a specirfc playstyle.

Named items are items that have unique identifying names highlighted in yellow.
They drop much less frequently than their unnamed counterparts. One example is "The Sacrifice", a named Providence Defense chest.

In addition, named items are also static. They don't change brands nor do they drop for any other gear slot than what they were made for.

Like any other AI, they're easy to deal with if you know how to exploit them. Hunters are aggressive and will constantly push towards you.
Staying in cover for too long will make them get closer faster. You need to be constantly on the move and laying down fire when possible.
If you have any grenades, time the throw to their healing. It'll temporarily cancel out their healing and force them out of cover.

Surprisingly enough, Hunters do not like to be on the receiving end of anything. If you get close, but not too close, you can often times actually force them to reposition.
I learned this in Countdown using cover that was like... within 5-10 meters of them.

Scorpio will only get you so far. You need the damage to actually back it up. Scorpio shines best with an all red build or a build that can amplify damage.

Otherwise it's only good as an occasional CC sweeper.

In terms of raw damage, Scorpio is actually on the lower end of the scale. The M970 Variants, SPAS-12, and the KSG, just to name a few, all outclass Scorpio damage wise.

The reason I use it is because it gives me a window to actually do any damage at all, and I'm doing enough damage while they're stunned to strip all armour but then they get away. I guess I could run riot foam for some extra time or something?

Not in the traditional sense like D3 was, relative to Div 1.

D3 wasn't just a Tank, it was also a pretty decent bruiser that could deal considerable damage, even towards Legendary enemies. All while having an indomitable shield. 4 Man scaling too btw.

Sure you can tank in this game and still deal considerable damage. But the tanking of those builds in this game is a far cry compared to D3 in the first. A literal adamantium wall that could punch back.
In Div 2, if you're trying to do the same, your shield is definitely going to crack and break a few times.

you can circumvent pistolero directive even when hosting by climbing with an alt. then have someone join and hold the floor for you. switch to your main and join the same session from white house. instant ammo
