I dont understand how im stuttering so bad with a 1060 i5 7500 and 16gb of ram. SSD too. some fights are literally game breaking, ill freeze for a second or two and itll just fuck everything up. extra load distance and object detail are both lowest they can go, What else can I do? This lowered the issues to a minimum, maybe a freeze here and there but it's somewhat playable
Also it's not your CPU i have I5-3570 K
I just wish they could fix the DX12 issue, that would help a lot with performance 😒

@echo crow yes for me it's also a CPU hogging issue. I use a 4790K GTX1080TI, DX11, 1080p, full SSD. Settings to low / med, antivirus off, Gsynch, no Vsynch, lowered the fog, particles, everything but the terrain. It runs very well if you're standing still /facepalm. If you meet any NPC's it's a stuttery mess...if you shoot an enemy its choppy, if enemies spawn its choppy, if an enemy drops dead on the floor it's choppy. Unplayable PVP shooter. Enough information to fix it yet ??
I also put the physix on GPU not CPU, which improved it slightly.
I also turned down the item streaming option and even the mesh detail option

Yeah, i actually had to do that recently. Division 2 kept crashing randomly with in an hour of play, went to error logs, said something about nvidia. I just used it and i haven't crashed.

Reinstalling windows wont just help with your DirectX... you could have small errors in your registries or a program in background is causing a problem.

@royal minnow i agree with lot's of players/pc's lot's of different builds and lot's of possibilities for errors, BUT! if i can run AC Odyssey on Ultra with 90 FPS without issues and Div2 can barely do 60 on medium on DX11, cause i don't wanna go into DX12 issues...... nobody can say that there is nothing wrong with the game. my problem with DX 12 is the small freezes (that i still get with DX11) after the freeze, game goes window mode and CTD
with DX11 i can keep playing after a few seconds of freeze
but this has been an issue since launch, interestingly i never had it during beta, or before launch....

Long load times are still very much present as are the issues surrounds Nvidia cards for some people...IE Crashes or game not loading at all. Patch today or they have just negelected to not post patch notes unless they have done it since last I looked.
Just rechecked not noted for todays maintenance so no patch and there was definitely no client update.

well, ticket systems are dealt with on a first come first serve basis, and whoever is free to deal with the ticket may not always be competent, you can try escalating the matter by phoning them

Not a major issue but for some reason when I receive a call for back up I get notified but I can’t join the agents. It won’t let me hold the touch pad for a quick join but it will show the request in the social tab which won’t let me join either. It’s annoying me because I can’t get the trophy/achievement for joining and agent and reviving them

damn. it just happened to me again. I was just playing the game an hour ago. I logged out and shutdown. Then i went to run it again now, and it pops up with an error saying "Unknown file version" and then only lets me exit launch. The only way to fix this is to verify the files and let it replace the bad file(s). Anyone else experiencing this randomly?

hey guys, anyone experiencing or fixed stuttering like this? game is perfectly fine when im just moving around with keyboard. as soon as i move my mouse it's like as if it's only reading the mouse inputs every quarter of a second (no framedrops no cpu/gpu spikes). tried changing polling rate, tried a diff mouse, only game where this happens.

found the cause, RTSS. last update must've come with an EAC update that has issue with RTSS. disabled RTSS on div2 and things went back to normal.

Nope - just the laptop's own screen (it is a 120Hz panel, but I doubt that matters; DX12 breaks on enough different configurations that I suspect it's either not a single root cause, or it's something really bizarre.)

That's Nvidia driver issue, after that i switched back to DX12 and i could play for like 3-4 hours with 1 freeze crash at the end. So i'm just trying to figure this out.
But the only suggestion for you right now is to use DX11, sorry mate.
oh yeah, also set a limit to monitor refresh rate and max FPS.

It's another weird "varies significantly from system to system" thing like the DX12 crashes, so it's probably very hard to fix - it takes me about 3 minutes from hitting the power button on my laptop to being in-game, but I can't play for more than half an hour without it crashing unless I use DX11, but for other people it takes 10 minutes to load but DX12 is fine.

Div 2 blocks my Killer nic, any network problems i had with games, the Killer nic would fix it for me, but this is the first game that doesn't work with it some how, so when i get some time i'd test locking my download in uplay to 5mbps it my self.

Stop blaming Nvidia for crashes lmao It's a game engine coding or EAC issue. AMD users have crashes and before patch 1.7 there were less frequent crashes and only after that did issues start to arise. Additionally, Nvidia have said they don't know what the problem is in their past 2 driver releases on the GeForce forums.

I have apparently spawned the specter hunter at the monument.(the last one I need) and can't do the window shooting to get him to spawn. I've seen him 2 times and he always bolts. Anyway to know the locations he spawns at by the monument or to get him to spawn elsewhere. Been trying for over a week

If window shooting don't work you need to do it in session of other ppl who not killed him yet.

@tidal iron I dont know Merciless but Lullaby lvl1 gifted you cant upgrade it or scrap it. Its 100% useless.You have to find a Lullaby doing missions and that one you will be able to upgrade.
EDIT: You will find Sweet Dreams doing missions, not a Lullaby. Then with the blueprint you will be able to upgrade the Sweet Dreams in a high end Lullaby.

most of the time, if i start the game, the anti cheat engine or the game will start in the task manager with 0% load on all (CPU, Disk Network) and stuck there with couple of MB ram.
And nothing happens. Most of the time, i have to restart this startup process 4-5 times until the game loads fine

@viral needle settings are mostly gpu dependent but the more you lower your settings the work the CPU will have to do
Higher resolutions have the CPU do less work because at that point the gpu is the bottleneck

@red matrix did some more testing. dx12 is stuttering like a mofo. even when i capped the frames @60fps. dx11 has no such problems. although it randomly crashes. That might be from my OC.

i'm missing the Phantom Mask from the vs. 4 fight at the Christmas tree, but I have every Ivory key and have opened the Ivory Key chest. is there anything i can do to find the Hunter again or induce the mask to spawn again if it so happens that I killed him?

@red matrix my OC is stable with superposition and furmark. i even back it down by 25mhz from my max stable oc for daily use. the thing is, even that isnt stable for the game. i had to back down more to get run the game without crashing

What do I do if my game crashes to desktop? I have tried the following stuff, but yet.. I still crash to desktop every 10-20 minutes:

- Full screen mode
- Install latest Nvidia Hotfix (430.53)

Yeah same here. Runs perfectly now on both old and new rig here. startup also fixed for us
only frequent bug i still encounter is on recalibration. like when you have fire rate mod and you put a 10% fire rate talent on it it doesn't increase fire rate until you go out, take of the mod and put it back in. can live with that tho

I have several ability mods that I can’t deconstruct or sell, guessing they have been picked up as favorite before the first mod rework happened. I had the same issue with some attribute mods, but I got rid of them by putting them into armor items and deconstructed those. Any idea how to get rid of the ability ones?
I just solved it myself, move them to stash and it will let you unfavorite them...
