Has anyone figured out how to set the cpu affinity so division 2 doesn't use all the cpu cores? I've tried using process lasso to set the game to my first 4 cores/8threads of my ryzen 1700x but it won't stick. Under the division 2 game in uplay i see the properties>"game launch arguments" section but I can't find a list anywhere. I'm guessing the game is getting launched with the typical "useallcores" property people like to manually set. But I need to lock it down to half my cpu to stream without the stream and game affecting each other.
Locking obs/discord/chrome/restream chat to the last half of the cpu keeps obs from crashing and lets games run without stuttering. Setting affinity is extremely important for single pc streaming. Especially with all the high core count ryzens coming out this summer... I can stream apex, pubg, fortnite, but the division 2 is being a pain here..

Logitech gaming software is outdated and buggy. G Hub is the answer as long as your products are supported. Some people will be unhappy about the lack of G602 support. Most of the newer headsets are supported and it fixes the audio bug. I also recommend disabling the surround sound feature as it is not so accurate in D2.

So epic games asks for me to login to my Ubisoft in order to open the game. It takes me to google and ill verify by logging in. When it says verified and sends me back to Epic Games Launcher the game still says Ubisoft login required. Any one have the same issue?

so, about 5-10 minutes into any mission with a group (has to be with a group, and inside of a mission), my game will freeze up and crash. It isn't drivers because it's been occurring across multiple drivers, and it also happened in the division 1. It's been a problem for many months now and have yet to find a fix for it. Anyone else experience this?

@languid sandal its for the audio issue. u can just unplug ur headphones from the usb adapter for surround and plug it directly to the headphone jack. it works. thats how im using it. sadly u will miss the surround sound.

But i pre-ordered the game on PC a while back, at the time, the different editions did not say anything about 3 day early access, and if they did i completely missed that info so i went with the base edition... I contacted support yesterday in order to upgrade editions, and i was told that wasn't possible... Am i crazy, or this horrible? Having major issues with the division 2 performing badly. Major frame stutter happening every 15-30 seconds, especially when groups of NPC's notice me and start fighting, but also when all seems quiet too sometimes. I'm on an i7-8700k, rog strix gtx1080Ti OC, 16gb 3200mhz ram, game on samsung 970 evo SSD. It's making it pretty unplayable, and only this game it's happening on. Any one have any ideas?

My buddy joined the game, ran through the intro real quick, DID NOT do the "TALK TO THE DIVISION DIRECTOR" and joined our party immediately. Now when he goes back to his own instance to run missions solo, he's prompted with "Talk to the Division Director", but can't. Now he can't access the missions solo.

Ultimatelly, a CPU or GPU running 95+% is not necessarily a bad thing, so long it's cooled properly. If you CPU gets bottlenecked, consider checking the airflow and monitor your temperature for a bit. It could be an issue. I would assume you are using Windows 10?

If it's a solid 100%, there might be other issues but it could be so much things. I would try using windows ressources monitor to try and identify if its only when you run the game or not for starter. High CPU usage in games is not rare, but a solid uninterrupted 100% means its bottlenecked somewhere, and you got a decent CPU so it shouldnt happen.
I hear a lot of people often say : "Oh good, my GPU's load is only 50%. Nice"
I am not so sure how it is nice, it basically means you are only using half of your GPU's power. So it means you can still put higher settings and it shouldn't impact your performances"

I would assume that is because Division 2 is quite heavy (more than Destiny) and adding stream to it might be a bit too much. I got a 1060 6GB myself and i had to tweak a few things in order to get TD2 to get to run in a pretty manner while retaining acceptable stable FPS.

@lofty heart okay, go into TD2's folder (Ubisoft/Launcher/Games/........etc) and you should see a folder called Tools, in there youll find an install for DX and some for VC_Redist, try reinstalling that cause that error has to do with those software

I mean your CPU is barely two years old in matter of technology, it is still interesting to put money in there. I got a 4 years old CPU and motherboard right now and I can still run TD2 at high settings with HDR. CPU are rarely bottlenecks when it comes to gaming, unless you have something really old and playing something really powerful or demanding.
Which is why @lofty heart I am not sure what to tell you, from so far it's hard to be really useful without any context or you know. I personally don't always bother to "fix" things in Windows. When things don't run my way or properly, I don't mess around. Format C:, reinstall Windows, thank you. lol

Maybe you have the odd setup that optimization didn'T think about. I also noticed that performances was not quite as I expected myself, so unsure if the optimization needs a little working still OR maybe the game was more demanding than I anticipated

Those having serious juddering- I solved my friends by changing his power plan to 'Performance' in Windows and his Asus BIOS. Power saving or balanced should be set to performance. Another problem solver is those that have Page File turned off, The Division 2 doesn't like that, or even a small pagefile.
Low pagefile usually results in an 'out of memory' exception, but sometimes it just causes lag and crashes.

Crashes happen more often during intense combat and heavy explosion scenes. As you get higher level and join matchmaking, the enemies increase in number and complexity, which also increases the chances of crashing ~_~

i discoverd an other problem... when i enter or leav the safe house and an other agent just came in or out (so he walks towards me but its still out zoned for me) we start colliding and my char walks on teh same spot (stuck) after 10 sex he is released from that place..

PSA: DX12 runs a bit better than DX11 with Division 2. From my testing it offers better frames with lower CPU usage!

@jaunty spoke , then there is something blocking the access to your other users files for writing. This could be a setting, application or broken user-profile causing it

the new user was not a solution but a step to verify the problem was isolated to your user :p
but if you have the time and need you can go and setup the new user as your new main account on the computer :p althjough most of your settings will need to be moved

Check the Virus scan program on your pc for the anti cheat error. virus scan can see it as malware. make sure to trust it.
