I also got hit with 3 XP bug after not having the issue during the last 5 XP event, and the only difference this time is I made a mule character to level when I only had one Agent before. I started the mule, did the tutorial etc and then when I switched back to my main Agent it said I was capped out on the event.

In the future. It can be a good idea to file a support request right away. Because they take a really long time to respond. Then if either the community or you yourself manage to solve it beforehand, you can always cancel the ticket 😉

If you are dismantling items in your inventory just be careful to not hold Z too long. if so, you go into that screen for the event, which gets you stuck.

Has anyone else had problems getting the Nvidia App to recognise and be able to modify the settings of the Division 2? I've got the steam version of the game and every time I open it I need to change back to full screen mode using the menu or Alt + Enter. It seems to remember graphics settings but not video ones.

I think there's a read only file somewhere in the steam folders but I can't for the life of me find it.

Have completely reinstalled the Nvidia App, Division 2 and even Windows 11. I've dropped to Geforce Experience also to no avail.

The app works ok with all other games I have installed.

If anyone else has this problem, it was as a result of OneDrive and Windows 11. For some reason Documents was getting named in Cyrillic when mapping to One Drive. I built a windows 11 image using Rufus and bypassed any need for Windows accounts etc and Nvidia App detected the game immediately upon install

Some types of enemies will place boxes of special ammo on the ground that members of the same faction can pick up. It might have been what you experienced.

Umbra has been broken for a while now 😖

But there is a temp fix. Every time you leave a safe zone, unequip one of the set items and reequip it. This should fix it (at least until you enter another safe zone 🙄 )

Btw, if I remember correctly, you don't actually need to activate it to get the kill counts. You just need to have the specific modifier equipped 🤔

That's a bug with umbra specifically, unequip/reequip one of the umbra pieces to fix it

hey folks, i started playing d2 4 weeks ago. first, the game freezes and switched to window mode. Now it just freezes the picture (sound still there) and i have to quit the game with the help of the task manager. my pc is from 2023, amd driver is up to date. i already verify the game files twice with no result. especially today, the game crashed already 3 times. that really annoying particularly if it happens during countdown. I'll write it here: new Division 2 players beware! 3 projects will be missing from the Projects tab (it will remain at 23/26 or 88% towards completion) when you complete the Black Tusk Invasion story arc. These three projects are Priority: Invaded Mission 1, Priority: Invaded Mission 2, Priority: Invaded Mission 3 and they correspond to the invaded missions you had to complete to unlock invaded strongholds and get to higher world tiers before world tiers were entirely removed from the game. You obtained these three projects at the end of each invaded stronghold. I fear removing world tiers also removed (or gliched) these projects from the Progression tab. For completionists like myself, this is a nightmare but I'll make do. Interestingly enough, if you create a new character and use the one-time boost to level 30, these three projects will appear in the Progression tab under the Projects tab (because the boost completes the main campaign, Black Tusk Invasion included).

EACH time you start the game, find the Easy Anti-Cheat process in the Task Manager, right-click on it, select "Set similarity" and uncheck all the boxes on all CPUs, leaving one check mark on either CPU 1 or CPU 0.
This method SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the frequency of crashes and increases the game session time.

Log in to Windows Security/ Application and Browser Management/ Exploit Protection / Settings/ Program Settings/ Press + and specify the path to the file EACLaunch.exe which is located in the folder with the game/ Next we see a large list of functions that should ALL be TURNED OFF, by default all switches are inactive and you need to turn on the checkboxes next to "Redefine system settings" and then all switches will become active and you can turn them off if they were turned on.
And now we do this with the REMAINING two files in the same folder with the game, namely: Division2.exe and thedivision2launcher.exe . In the same scenario, if something is active, turn it off.

You should restart your PC Then. sometimes when TD2 tries to start something is messing up and it doesn't open the UI but the Game stands on Idle in your Task-Manager

When you say 'locked' does it not let you activate it? You'll still need to earn points to buy the perks, and you'll still have the field research tasks you can do, the only difference is you can activate it without completing the field research.

I have a weird issue with cosmetics. Last year I purchased the Lovebirds bundle (the entire bundle). The only item I can equip is the jacket, and I was only able to equip it right when I purchased the bundle. None of the other items can be equipped. None of them (including the jacket) even show up in my inventory. A year later (today) they are back in the store. When I look at them in the store, they show up as owned. However, when I try to equip them, the equip option is grayed out. I have tried this on all of my characters, with the same results. Interesting. My second 6gb patch started this issue and I haven't had an update available since. I've just rolled back my grapchis driver to see if that does anything as it did have an update for snowdrop games. A complete unistall foloowed by reinstalling didn't help either.

There's a liberation project in every safehouse, each one once completed rewards a unique bounty, the achievement you're chasing probably requires you completing all those unique bounties. That's my theory anyway. There's one in campus too but I think not one for the White House area.

Ok, I think I found something. I forced a reinstall of MS's Net 3.5/4, And all of a sudden Uplay wanted to download a 7GB update.

I recently got a PC and in lieu of the new DLC announcement (of which I am really excited), I was wondering if I can or how I can port my saves from Xbox to PC. I bought the game via Ubisoft Connect and have the account from Xbox/PC linked. Am I missing a step? The website says cross-progression between consoles isn't supported, but I interpreted that as console to console wouldn't work. You shouldn't need to. Have you linked your Steam account with Ubisoft? Once you do that, most of it should happen automatically. Also, ensure you have the latest version of Ubisoft Connect installed.

open state.cfg in notepad. Under the graphics heading youll see hdr="On", change that to "Off".
right click on the state.cfg file -> Properties -> Youll see attributes at the bottom -> click read only.

You will not be able to change any graphics settings or monitor refresh rate, size, fullscreen, or DX version in game. You have to go back to this file to do it (or just uncheck read only, restart game, change settings and redo previous message).

I dont remember the date unfortunately. It was several years ago when I created it. The last login I had before a few days ago was Nov of 23. I noticed today that I was demoted to Lieutenant and another member of the clan was listed as commander. I did not delegate this permission to them. Yes, you can still have it complete as long as you have completed all the scouting missions across your characters. I sadly wasn't aware of this, so I actually have various missions completed across all 4 of my characters. Which means none of them will be able to get a 20/20 🫤

I've tried several times now, and I definitely cannot earn any more comms on my alternate character other than what was award to them for completing heroic and master difficulties of the manhunt for the first time. I have every comm on my main character, so thats not an issue, but the others are having no luck. I understand that the manhunt is only able to be completed by one character and I made sure to do that. Everything is fine on that end. However with no addition comms dropping from subsequent replays of the finale mission, and no way to restart the manhunt, I'm at a stand still. I haven't seen any news or posts on the issue from the developers so if anyone has any information or knows where I can find it, I would be appreciative. I really dislike oversights like this when it comes to new content. Its not like the game is new and the devs are learning as they go. These are things that should be solved before even going live with any new update. It shouldn't even be an issue.

Between all the settings on my PC, screen, and game. It is like having a million chefs cooking one meal. In the end, I just ran all my settings in the game on max, with Brightness 10, Contrasts 10, and Sharpening 5. And no HDR. And honestly, manually switching between Natural lighting, on or off, depending on where I am in the game

Especially the natural lighting is a pain, the game looks better with it ON, in some cases, but at night it can make you completely blind (but the enemy can still see you for some reason)

This one is indeed bugged. Instead of using the map, or the Legacy Manhunt feature, you need to travel to the actual location of the Stranded Tanker and use the interactive UI in the world space to change the mission options to Manhunt. This will allow you to do this mission 😉 👍

i see a progress bar for the anti cheat program that progresses and says waiting for game before it crashes. I think they have screwed something up with the anti cheat engine

I just dug into the anticheat launcher logs and according to the logs, it thinks it's loaded and waiting for a game, but the game window never comes

It was very weird because the zone is a junction between 2 sectors. On the one side textures and models were fine but on the other side just potato bricks.

I've seen stuff like that in other games as a result of texture streaming issues

When you're playing Div2, that's how everything is rendered at extreme distances

The closer you get, that's when it swaps out low-res LODs for high-res textures

Usually reloading the affected area fixes it, which is why I was asking about fast traveling to the same region

Got rid of Linux and went back to Windows (Far many reasons, not just Division 2 being broken) and the game runs very poorly. There's a lot of frame time spikes (7800 X3D/7900 XT so I don't think it's the hardware).

The game ran better through a wrapper (Proton) than it does native on Windows and I don't understand why. Maybe it's partially because Proton uses DXVK (Direct X to Vulkan) and sometimes there's a performance difference between DX and Vulkan, but I dunno.

Fixed my performance issues. A mix of user error and Windows being Windows. When fresh installing the OS, the default driver uses 60Hz as the refresh rate. When upgrading the video driver, it never changes that setting. So running the game with Vsync on dropped the FPS to 60 (Because that's what Windows set my refresh rate to) even though Division saw my monitor as being 165Hz. So running without Vsync caused terrible stuttering, running with Vsync caused well below known average performance.

When I changed this setting in Windows to 165Hz, I can now use Vsync without it tanking my performance

It was at first, for example, I have builds on different chars with different purpose, like skill builds on one char, raid builds on another etc. and if you switch chars you need to start over, instead of progression further, BUT modifiers are unlocked account wide, so you don't really lose anything, besides the issue with switching chars.
You can even progress the Journey and get rewards multiple times, which is a good thing I guess.

Btw. can you look into bounties not giving season xp or report it back to the team (every activity should reward season xp) and the Marauder (quadrocopter) black tusk with the enemy Frenzy modifier, which has insane amounts of life regeneration and is pretty much unkillable in higher difficulties.

Hello, I’m experiencing an issue after the major update. I’ve never changed any in-game settings before.

I’ve always played The Division 2 in FHD fullscreen on my 4K monitor without any problems. However, after the update, the game no longer runs in FHD fullscreen on my 4K monitor. Every time I select FHD fullscreen in the settings, my screen freezes, but I can still hear the game audio when navigating menus or moving the mouse. It’s only the display that freezes.

This is why I don't chase 4k (As a PC gamer), you get diminishing returns after 1080p

The visual fidelity gets unnoticeably better as the system requirements get noticeably higher

Div2 not starting for me after the 7GB update. About the resolution keep reverting. I had an issue where my game would not save the Fullscreen option, and I used the following method to solve it. Maybe you can use a similar approach to solve your resolution problem:

You might not need all of these steps, but this is what I did:
| Start up your game |
| Go to Options |
| Go to Video |
| Change Resolution to that of your monitor |
| Now change Window mode to Windowed (Fullscreen)|
| Apply settings and confirm |

| DO NOT CLOSE GAME YET |

| Now go to C:\Users\ username \Documents\My Games\Tom Clancy's The Division |
| Locate file state.cfg (make a backup of this file for safety before doing any editing) |
| Next open up the state.cfg with Notepad |

| NOW CLOSE YOUR GAME |

| In the state.cfg under fullscreenSettings check the following: |
| fullscreen should be false, if it is set to true, change it |
| maximized should be false, if it is set to true, change it |

| Next go to the first setting in the state.cfg where it says windowed and make sure it is set to true if it is set to false, change it |

| Then go to the state.cfg under windowedSettings and look at the following: |
| fullscreen should be true, if it is set to false, change it |
| height this number should be the same as found in the fullscreenSettings above, if not, change it |
| maximized should be true, if it is set to false, change it |

i did try to play with native resolution as game was opened (2880x1575) but it continued
i reinstalled game again, then again to a different ssd and return it to first ssd to check does it change anything. run a file check in steam but it said i have all files from game. so, freak it, i started game from the beginning and replay only storyline to get to the break point. and now i have recorded the moment it breaks and never returned to normal game

That's freaking weird 🤔 There is one thing you could try. A while back, a similar issue seems to happen to Division 2. Just make sure to always make a back up of the files before making any changes to them.

it did not work for me but i googled it more and found a solution which was 'helpfull' of some kind. in case i am an owner of 'ru uplay activation' i switched to russian language in dialogs and now a can hear conversation in cutscenes. but all sounds around me are in it, so i will look further to fix this

Is it just on Xbox, PS or is PC affected too - The issue is when your Active Modifier is ready for use and you inspect gear (loot) that's on the ground you have to press the "up" on the D-Pad and it inspects the gear AND activates the modifier...I was saving that for another engagement. Is there a workaround on the Global Directive Scavenging Skills being automatically on? Even if I already turned it off it's still making me pick up the thing. I already tried changing the Global Difficulty, turning off all of the Directives and closing the app.

Special Ammo and Scavenged Skills have somehow swapped places and it is causing all kinds of trouble. If you are trying to play with Special Ammo, simply turn on Scavenged Skills instead. Just need to be aware that the cooldown timers will display the resources from Scavenged Skills, but it is only a visual bug, the timer is still counting down. If you are still seeing the resources in the world space, you can try and turn on ALL the directives at the same time, let the world space reload, then turn them off again, and see if this fixes it.

Each resource in the cooldown timer should count for about 8 seconds.

It's funny, it is only those two directives that have been messed up, everything else seems to work.

Btw, you need to be aware that directives in missions might work differently. So once you enter a mission area, it can be a good idea to activate a skill, just to see if the right directive has been activated.

Hello. I'm a returning player (played about 5 or 6 months ago) and I decided to create a new character and delete the old one. After character creation and gaining control, I checked my collectibles tab and noticed that all of my previous progress was still there. All the audio logs, ECHO's, memorabilia, and so on that my previous character had is persisting to this new character.

You boot up the current game and it spoils the entire base plot, the plot of WONY, and every Manhunt up until now.

If you want to catch up properly, I can highly recommend "NGN", they're the "official" lore youtuber.

That's why I was hoping a new character would reset the collectibles, because they are a good chunk of the lore and they're put in contextually relevant locations. Not a huge deal, just not a fan of the change, if it turns out to be intentional.

If you're using Windows 11, I also know that there's an issue with Windows 11 that affects fullscreen operation, causing the game to crash. If the game is having issues with that, it stands to reason that it may be having other, undocumented, issues with other things

PC gaming is strange in that the operating environment has no consistency and there are far too many variables, nothing can be accounted for. Using an AMD card I can tell you that this issue doesn't exist for me. (I hate the whole "Well it's not a problem because it works for me" mentality but this shows that the issue lies in your operating environment and is exclusive to your configuration. My advice would be to try an older driver, maybe something from 6 months ago, but don't go back before your cards release date lol

So based on what I was saying in td2 general, it's possible for a newer driver to have an issue carryover from previous updates

So "new" isn't always "best" when it comes to software

If you want to go any older, you'll need to try and sopurce the drivers from overclocking websites. Nvidia doesn't like you going back too far but overclocking websites archive years worth of drivers because new isn't always best

I've been using guru3d since the mid 00's

If the Nvidia driver from their site doesn't fix it, I would start at guru3d and try to find something a bit older

In the meantime, I am going to look into this issue further for you

I suspect that I may know what the issue could be but I don't want to say until I gather more data and I know for certain

Also, when changing settings and testing ANYTHING, you NEED to have a controlled basleine for testing. So I would recommend changing the settings to a preset like low, medium, high, ultra etc and change NOTHING

Test your game using the preset settings and confirm the issue exists, THEN start changing settings, but keep meticulous notes of what you change, and only change ONE setting at a time

The problem could be a combination of settings

So you benchmark on, say, high. Confirm the issue is present, make a change, benchmark again

Repeat this process focusing only on the settings pertaining to shadows at first

If you change multiple settings, and then you "fix" the issue, you didn't really fix anything. This is called shotgun blast troubleshooting, and it's the bane of my existence as an IT professional, because you cannot really isolate any issues when you just wontonly change things and then it's fixed
