The color cores and therefore the role of the build
Half the people don’t listen and still use every drone and people wanna go to VIP for whatever reason
that makes so much more sense thank you
Guessing at some point I should have one of each?
You don't really need blues(tanks) for like 99% of content
@subtle bluff the hell is tech tank?
Guessing the big 99% is strikers and Elmo? From what I hear
Any DPS build, honestly. Striker's is just an incredibly strong and easy build
Oh nice, what would yellow be better then? Besides Hunters I found out recently… using my the Rigger set the game gave me
Yellow builds are mostly support.
Crowd control, healing, etc.
ah not really solo made
artificer hive and shield builds
Oh ok
So in my mind that would be if I’m in a group of 4 and 2-3 of them are using DPS, maybe I’d consider using yellow build
Yeah, but nothing wrong with all DPS teams
why are all the core strength ninjas taking naps in MMing
ah I see, anytime I’d use yellow on my own?
Turret/drone builds are decent in solo, Fire EP too iirc
thought this was supposed to activate godmode
planking for that core strength
because they can carry leggo in their sleep obviously
i would take fire ep in group up to heroic tbh, the fire should spread even if team is doing minimal damage
That’s what I thought with the Level 35 Rigger build the game gave me. I be hiding behind cover and clearing rooms
youll refit that as a refactor build, and along with the damage, youll be providing your team with healing
Theres even a DPS build that lets you support your team. Say hello to Ongoing Directive, also known as the stackless Striker.
Ongoing Directive practically giving the entire team infinite +20% damage buff. As long as you can maintain the marks that is.
The kills are important
I'm sure peeps over 1K SHD are aware of OD marker. And should prioritize it over something else.
whole squad focusing on a singular enemy is a good idea if you like letting rest of the enemies do whatever they want
Good point. Good OD user is to spray and mark as many enemies as possible.
Good thing theres no limit to how many mark you can apply.
Excuse me if I’m wrong but this sounds like the skill version of heartbreaker I think it is?
Oh man this game keeps on getting better, hate that I put it off for so long but I’m glad it’s going more popular
no. with refactor the damage your skills do directly repair your teamates(and self) armor. with heartbreaker you stack up bonus armor, but its only for self and it goes away after a short time.
its a good way to heal and do damage
Ohhhh the bonus armor in this case would only be if I was at full anyways
and you can't get any more bonus armor if you're at full hb stacks
no, you can get bonus armor when not full armor
Is there a good build with the Investor and Sheriff?
Or do I need to use the OverDogs with it?
I guess reading is hard...
i was following a video guide
Should've started with that.
Anyone got a good tinkerer rifle build ?
look for OD in the pinned Spreadsheet
wdym by od ?
Ongoing Directive
I find myself running refractor for retals cause everyone wants to go dps heavy
It's really fun to keep people up! Though it's taking a lot of time to learn good angles for the turret hah
And the drone sometimes likes to fly off and just disappear down an alleyway
Though nothing will be as janky as the artillery turret 😭
how do I read this armor section when trying to do builds?
What's giving you an issue?
Is it the formatting? The first part in the list is the talent, the second part is the recommended brand. The items in italic are named items that have a fixed Perfect talent
How do I get tech support on an empress though?
Get lucky and have it drop with it, get a piece of gear that has skill damage + skill haste already and recalibrate the talent to tech support
oh, so gold armor drops random talents like weapons and the attributes too?
Yes
target farm empress brand on countdown, though personally I use Force Multiplier the named Hana-U backpack
The only items that have fixed talents are named (most of them) and exotics
Is there a good Sheriff build with the Investor?
I see a lot of countdown in my future in this game lmao
Yup, countdown and retaliation until your eyes bleed 🫡
Tbh retaliation is better for farming just lfg
Not particularly
Investor is pretty mid for red builds especially with how annoying it is to farm an all red one
I've found refactor+dps duo pairs well also, so this tracks 💯
Gotta keep the team alive somehow 😭
Fr
Investor is much more valuable on blue and yellow builds
Take that as you will, there's not really a specific setup that benefits from it
An all red investor is just a coyote's that's stuck on the close range buff with slightly less chd and some weapon handling on the side
17% less CHD
heyo, partner is running hotshot with Shroud, what stats should she be focusing on?
u also dont have the global +25% chd
HSD and WH
Alright, I told her HSD but I didn't know what else, thank you
I run eclipse foam and it works hilariously well
Went from Expertise 8 to nearly 22 so far from the event. Oh dear me
probably a free skilltier not registering on your hud, but still active maybe
like brazos or pallisades
*bad habit, reading deleted msgs 😅 *
Named items are gonna be a pain
did you get all this weeks from the vendors?
Got all the ones I could yeah. 3 more gearsets left to expertise then its just Skills, Named Items and Exotics
skills are the worst
I miss my Reviver in Countdown sad
@lone glacier wear a strikers 4 piece and decent AR like police m4....then 2nd gun an exotic or named you need to proficent...then same with 1 gear part and a piostol if you can...same with 2 skills you dont normally play....that ll allow you to do decent damage while getting 5 pieces proficent at once...plus set targeted loot to gear system mods for printer filiment...oh and play countdown lol
i just have no motivation to play after this update lol, the only things i’ve been wanting to do is farm for optimization materials and expertise
Been doing that since the event started
Hey everyone, I'm kinda new to the game, started like a week ago, reached level 40 and all and currently struggling to keep up with heroic retaliations and heroic countdown. Any build recommendations? ^^`
@modern jewel the new gear set core strength is new player friendly....3 pc of it either red core or yellow..your choice with ninja packpack...picaros holster blue core..and unit alloys....OR as just mentioned and prob easiest to farm is 4pc striker all red with equaliser chest piece and ceska or grupo pice....wear the striker backpack....maybe run 4 red cores/2 blue until you get better at game....any decent ar will with something like killer on it
Probably better off going 2 blue / 4 red striker than the new gearset
yeh the striker set up is prob 2-4 games of countdown to get at the most...or your really unlucky
Thanks a lot!! I'll be trying to get these then :>
But whatever you do, dont trust 99% of youtube build videos
I watched like 20 but they are all either 2 years old or say something different which is exactly why I came here
should I use this for shield build?
Dang never seen this rarity before
should i keep this for like a refactor build or anything that involves the technician specialization? i get a little extra armor and not lose a skill tier
Idk, I'd for yellow core personally
Then use it in a CC build
Refactor won't benefit much of it I'd say
Or probably keep it with the armor but change the attributes to CHC and CHD
I'll go fk myself then /j
Just to confirm tinkerer doesn't work with versatile when you switch weapons?
Even if it's the same type of gun?
Idk, I just know it doesn't work with the new weapon talent apparently and also not with prototype gear
tink doesnt even let your secondary use the talent
so it's an anti-synergy
also versatile simply doesn't accept using a weapon of the same type
Weapon switch builds in general are not really the best choice
streamline AUG assault rifle. change optimal range or streamline
Exception is Back and Forth on a weapon I might say, or the new exotic AR
try to find a dtoc weapon so you can have a flexible talent
but for this time just swap optimal for dtoc
Oh wow, thank you! I do love an elaborate guide, I appreciate it!!
hello guys is there an area where i can farm lexington?
Nope
Need to wait until it makes a return with a special event. Most likely another Stretch Goals event end of season.
Go farm a Police M4. Same weapon, just 4% base damage difference
I'm just confirming
Im using weapon swap build with all red or HF and it's been pretty fun
Just sucks when there's a sniper especially a named one lol
Yeah the use of those builds is a little limited
I don't mind
Better than tipping scales/striker/heartbreak imo
i like pestilence so much
can any1 please advise the best gear set for this gun
ty.
youre better off looking into the AR variant of the AUG. you can get nearly 60 rounds with it
aug is also pretty damn accurate too
Is FAL the one with the weird reticle and more recoil than a shotgun
do i pick something specific or i can obtain them all ? playing striker build
You will have unlocked all of them by 1k SHD
You'll get them all by shd lvl 999, early on crit chance is a good one to max first
thank you
can u tell me what to focus on the rest? im shd lvl 25 so i got 5 points for each category
CHC makes sense
The others aren't as significant, personally I'd go hazpro, reload speed and skill haste, but it's mostly personal taste
Hey kettle, apologies for asking but some guy needs help in #ask-td2-community idk if you know the answer to his issue
Is there anyways to improve this build?
just trying to doo some bleed build as i got other builds done gotta try something new
hmmm i should do an mortar build yes yes
sounds very fun you got a good example to start from i just like doing random build so why not do the mortar one too
if you need more damage, use vigilance instead. just dont get shot. otherwise, wicked is perfect
do i have a good example
ofc
btsu gloves, sacrifice chest, force multiplier bag. skill damage everywhere
capacitor and insync shotgun is a must
hmm gotta get some new builds done as i got few alr but gotta do something new with the mortar and the bleed one
Currently I got few damage builds one armor support build and refactor healer build so is there something else i should do I like trying new things so i dont get bored
local here is going to kill me but look into headhunter builds w/determined
ty Ill try this one ❤️
Interesting one funny one could be an regulus build but for that I would need to get regulus #neveracomplishing that xddd
regulus isnt needed tbh. you wont be farming for this exact build because its got unicorn pieces. but the overall setup is fine. just use hotshot mask/holster/kneepads with HSD. the chest and backpack will remain the same (chainkiller chest, airaldi backpack) with HSD/Handling. Talent on the backpack is Vigilance
if you want a 1 shot pistol build, look into this-
yeah true but it would be nice to have regulus but it takes good grinding and a good team
or waiting until stretch goals because they now give those exotics away like candy
zamn otta wait for those then
GC Rock raiders will take you through it easily tbh. i just hosted a dark hours one yesterday
whats gc rock raiders?
check your inbox, theres a link to the server. they have dozens of LFG channels that are more than happy to take on newbies for their runs
kay thaniks man
daymn i cant write anymore lol
thank you
is this a good build for Backfire?
i'll ask again is coyote mask better for dmg or overdogs gloves?
gloves
Yeah works
I'd give out both servers now. Cuz timezones.
both servers?
TheDivison amd GC
Ty. Also would it be a good idea to try it with Nego?
any advises for this core strength build ?
Worsk
normal strikers will would work for basically any gun with a medium-high RPM
personally i would say the only advice would be to never use it in PVE, or if you do, nothing above Challenging lol
if you like, you can get a bunch of free hazpro from the seasonal thing so you don’t have to pay attention to the bleed thing as much
use memento instead of the core backpack
also maybe farm it some more and get all red or all yellow so it’s less hybridy
itd be that and go for like, idek. Core gloves, core kneepads and salvo? or some other kneepads or something that work. some combination
Any good Sheriff Builds?
Sheriff is a good secondary, I would not build around it
anyone know a good build for solo Leg content? thats hybrid tank regen and WP dmg?
full red works just fine
that's not gonna get you anywhere without Modifiers in all honesty
it's not just about the build, it's about knowledge and patience
clearing it is more knowing the content and having enough damage to kill them before getting overwhelmed, not about trading damage
ok
oh and don't go to YT, you'll find the classic "GOD MODE PFE INSANE DPS FOR LEGENDARY"
You'll make the "build", try it, fail and then ask why it failed
My last experience as someone who loves consistent/safe solo builds has been a foundry setup that somehow sits at like 3.5m dps.
You easily sit at 6m+ glueing something together with similar EHP/regen lol
Or the example I had a few days ago; Someone showcasing "crazy damage solo".. in a clip where he's dumping 6 mags into a single elite, while a buddy sits in the corner, aggroing/debuffing with Mosquito.
Using the range DPS meter is... not it lol
I've also seen people argue around dps numbers based on Buildstation.. a site that ignores any and all effects that aren't direct stat increases.
those aren't recommended either
you gotta make the maths on a dedicated calculator
I'd highly recommend just looking at builds of people actually clearing in a decent amount of time, if you aren't interested in calcing it.
Just don't go to "build videos".
Raucey's, Scooby's, iKia's... all of them are actually solid dedicated calculators
Build videos where people are playing in heroic missions as a 4 squad while people are debuffing... And claim it works in legendary solo. Then show me a complete legendary footage ? xD
exactly, I don't want cutoff clips, I want the full and honest run
Buildstation doesn't have dps numbers... Yet.
Raucey being the simplest!
I know a french youtuber who has a "best build for all content cheated" every damn day xd
The "Calculation" tab pretty clearly shows what's supposed to be "Burst Dps", "Sustained Dps" and the like.
It just - so far - fully ignores any and all effects outside of direct flat stat increases and is thus completely pointless.
what "effects" are you trying to sum to the calculation?
I'm pretty sure all effects outside of flat increases aren't included.
If you throw 4 pieces of striker into Buildstation and replace one of the pieces (breaking the effect) with any piece featuring the same subs, your dps is just the same.
You can't set a given amount of stacks (like you can set expected headshot/crit ratios in MX's tool) either; The entire effect just isn't implemented.
And it's not just Strikers; Buildstation fully ignores any other conditional/stacking/additional modifier based effect.
it's not finished it seems
Which is fine.
It just makes it hilarious to see people arguing around builds based the numbers it presents.
That's why some people took their time to figure out how to consider uptime and conditional stats via math
Division 2 is a math heavy game, you have to find the equations to get accurate numbers based on what you mentioned
Because math speaks facts, math is accurate
I'd argue that the game isn't more "math heavy" than comparable games; The biggest issue is honestly just clarity when it comes to additive vs multiplicative modifiers and similar situations.
The entire explanation up there highlighted that math in this case is not accurate. lol
I never said Division was the heaviest game in history, I said it is heavy
Let me rephrase my reply; It isn't heavy compared to similar games.
Equipment-based shooters in general can be fairly complicated, however, that's true.
I mean you can get why it isn't accurate, it isn't finished
Which is why it doesn't make sense to argue how "good" a build is, based on the numbers it presents you.
That's.. exactly what has been said minutes ago.
It's a WIP atm.
plus it is leaving behind some stuff for simplicity, unfinished in all sense of the word
What is going on here.
The discussion is somehow running in a circle.
I'm trying to... understand this conversation lol
It's hard for me to process the math part of the game
Yeah, it must be my ignorance talking
I'm not being sarcastic, I just haven't spent time learning Division meth
Just to simplify it;
- Some content creators argue their buildis good, based on buildstation links/screenshots showing a given burst/sustained dps
- Buildstation isn't calculating these numbers correctly currently
It was just an example on "Just don't follow the average content creator", not me trying to throw shade at Buildstation.
I do believe a notice about these effects missing would resolve this whole issue, however. lol
welp, I wouldn't recommend using Buildstation for maths until it's finished
I would rather use Scooby's or iKia's
I wish the dummy would actually be accurate, would simply checking stuff in-game while being able to swap around easily.
Sadly it isn't.. by a lot sometimes.
I don't get how Range measures DPS
It sometimes just doesn't. See; #td2-build-advice message
Content creators….. Do you have a link to one of these guys? The dev needs to know he needs to put warning on his DPS
whats more important on a Determination Sniper?
Damage to Armor or Damage to Target out of Cover?
Always DTOC
why? how much that increases the DPS?
10%
DPS isn't the wording for snipers, it's just DMG*
Not everything in the game has Armor, Hounds are all health
DTOC is a... 10% multiplier in the equation
Oh lol Sniper build DPS.
Above and also 6 vs 10
What makes the hollow man such a good piece?
Context?
Lately seeing a lot of people use it on tier 6-7 escalations
For the damage to health attribute on it
caw caw thats why
Oh okay. Where can I learn more about dmg to health vs dmg to armor? I mean which enemies have what haha
white bars over enemy's health is armor
Yes because when it’s proto threat DTH is rather big.
actually, does dmg DTA increase dmg to armor plates at all?
Gotta love the clear as mud naming system in div
It’s for enemies who don’t have armour plates like chungas/heavies and warhounds (shoot the legs for dth)
huh always thought DTTooC was in the same table as DTA/DTH, good to know
Hello there! I got question for an item choice!
- Tipping Scales with BP and chest
- Tinkerer Mask
- two GR9 with frenzy and optimist
- fox prayer
Would the contractor gloves be more damage than fox prayer?
use equalizer chest instead
the TS chest technically has the highest damage potential of all chest pieces but it also takes an extremely long time to stack, you're better off just using a high-end chest with a high-end talent, the damage ceiling will be lower but your upfront damage will be higher
if the dummy in game doesn’t actually show the right damage numbers then do you have to manually calculate your dps?
Yes or! You can go the first pinned message and use that to get your dps.
thanks and i found ikias channel but can’t find scoobys do you have a link?
Pinned Messages here… Top right on Desktop
lol thanks
The point was that the Calculator in the Pinned Messages is very quick and easy to use
i gotchu i wanted to see the content on their channel
Messing around with saint elmos engine and eclipse, are there any good damage build for eclipse?
Maybe something can try using in escalation
Doesn't have to be elmos engine but definitely eclipse damage
In the build hub there a guide for it
best build for escalations?
yeah
either burn damage or foam CC build
EP burn isn’t good past heroic
the burn damage has a super low ceiling and the foam CC requires you to know spawns pretty well
Striker
How could I push this further
Not using CS or NBB
it’s yellow CS at least
if you want to keep using CS, use memento over ninja
probably drop the wyvern mask
actually idk how good salvo is here
For the Level 40 starter build is this what it was asking for?
the core attribute is weapon damage
Yes, that’s the right piece.
sick, so once my stats get to 50% CHC I should find pieces with CHD for the rest right? Seems a bit hard considering this had 5%
what is the best modifier (global) for striker?
The calculator has been a WIP for some time as we have been adding other things to Build Station but this has now been fixed and being updated as we speak!
HS/mag size/handling? or mix of HS and mag size
Thanks for the feedback!
yeah but you will probably not hit 50% when you are just starting out
aim for 1:2 crit chance to crit damage
Mag size lets you pump stacks easier, but handling lets you land hits easier to get those stacks
once you start filling up your library, you can tinker and swap that hazard protection to crit damage
wait, so if I had another chest piece with +5.2 crit I could rip it and make this +10.4 crit chance?
oh wait, I misread, but i'd had armor pieces with double stacking crit chance and dmg right?
No, you consume a stat off an item and that's your new max in your library. So you find a chest with +4% crit you can put +4% crit on another item in a slot, then if you find a +6% crit then consume that it becomes your new max to recalibrate to
That'd be mods
yeah you can put any mod in that you want
im lost, how would I be removing that hazard protection?
so all the spare armor you get can be harvested and you put its stats in your library
for example you get some random blue core armor with 10% crit damage, you can put that in your library and then put 10% crit damage onto your equalizer
The guide should have pic and explain how it works..
oh I see, I can extract core attributes it seems
seems a lot of mine are weapon damage though sadly
OH I SEE NOW, thank you
there we go
it's like Legos 🙂
anyone ? 😄
Would take all feedback on the numbers as we're here to get these numbers out to the community that are correct! (-:
Awesome 🙂
Now I didn't understand it fully, can I max those bars somehow? with better mods when I find them.
It always depends on your build and gear in this game. Currently running HSD but I really like the WH for most my loadouts. Some benefit from mag size. Try stuff out
You're able to optimize, yes
You can optimize them, and for the slot you swapped you can swap it again when you get a higher value in your library
its a standard Striker + st elmo
Elmo is a laser and has no damage talent. Go for HSD maybe
yeah what was thinking tbh
Congrats on the drop
Congrats !!!
Know it’s not the optimal gun but I just love how it looks ahha i use it all the time when im doing controller points
Only go for DTOC no.1, CHC no.2, CHD no.3 in this game.
Sir, we were talking about seasonal modifiers. Not the 3rd attribute on Elmo
Best thing you can do for most DPS setups.
so when catharsis says it heals 5% of max armor for 10s, is that 5% over the 10s? 5% per second? just 5%?
5% over 10 seconds i think.
that sounds horrible for healing lol especially if you run a dps build where if you take more than like 3 hits you get killed. but, up to 45% bonus damage doesnt sound too bad
it's only worth in pvp when running 6 blues
thats what its seeming like lol
just looking to make a fun Iron Lung build but its looking like fun is more towards the meta side rather than unique and interesting side
tipping scales, iron lung, overdogs, equalizer, and we'll whip out some Dark Winter for shits and giggles
exodus is a full heal if im in cover every 40 seconds but would i rather do that or 30% more dmg to certain enemies
Iron lung is a really simple gun so you don't really build around it
Just throw it on a DPS setup and it'll work
yea im gonna try this new setup i made and see how it feels
we got +40% weapon handling goin with the modifier right now too so it should feel pretty solid
all these damn retaliations are always Hyenas dude
The agitation meter builds faster depending on who you fight
has anyone used this ikia techtank build
ah, Heartbreaker build #3 in the selection
any iKia build is 100% valid, he was our goat... 💔
did he quit?
yeah, he did before new season dropped
guessing cuz of the prototype crap
bingo
yeah if i had something else to play id probably quit
this is the most and longest ive actually like played the game
been back for like 3 or 4 weeks now and ive been going at it pretty decent
I'll be honest, I also doubted if I wanted to stay or leave but I sincerely just decided to move on and see Proto as an extra, an option, I care more about build diversity (actually useful) and funsies than staying on the same build. I did that when I was on xbox and I got burnt out in less than 4 months which I regret doing bc I only cared about meta, I still do but less now
Anyways, don't burn yourself that quickly, search for diversity and fun as I mentioned
So in my friend group we have 2 damage dealers 1 is striker the other is Negotiators dialemma, we have a healer, im trying to find a good build to fit in for escalation, would an ongoing Directive one be good to use to help them with extra damage?
Ive tried about every gear set out now 😂
striker
Looking for advice on an OD LMG build .... Running thinkerer. Stoner LMG with max mag as primary. Talents being pressure point and sadist or strained and pressure or sadist???
Can swap exodus for overdogs or keep tinkerer. This build SHREDS tho. Highly recommend checking it out
if you want to build into a tankish build , then go for it. But OD chest piece amplifes hollow point to 50 instead of 30 or whatever it is
Ah okay
20 to 50, which is insane
no. the problem is at high tiers, the enemies are just way too tanky and you can't refresh your hollow-point ammo
with OD you need to be able to reliably kill human enemies within one mag. that's just not possible, or at least extremely difficult, at higher tiers
On kill talents really suffer in high tier and/or group escalation
and if you lose your hollow-point ammo, you deal way less damage, so your contribution becomes way worse
ND can work but need to know how to rav.
yeah only problem i have with OD
The only way to do OD for harder imo Tinkerer Sadist/Frenzy.
you repeated imo twice in the same sentence, sir
BLEH
my unused OD build still uses The Gift because i cba to find a wicked UA backpack
Pestilence any good
good, though to fully utilize its effect you need to build for it
pesti guide
Just got it drop from dmz zone
DZ?
Isnt ceska still better tbh
you should try again
like it just feels good and works
even better right now while we have 135% hsd for free
What does that have to do with OD
secure kills easier
More damage
Anyone got a pvp bighorn or eb build?
Priciate it
My build is more for DZ, works in conflict too but not focus on it.
Ya i got a pve build i just want a good pvp one
What named items are those?
If they are any
No named only the brand set and the exotic
Yeah sure, the goal is to get the bonus from the 3/3
Alr cool thanks
(Can be found in the spreadsheet pinned in this channel)
Im not a starter i just want a bh build💔
its literally on the third page of the doc
Ohh
i mean it says starter guide but you don't have to be a starter to take notes from the builds shown
I cant its like bugged
It's called a "starter" guide, because it helps you get started with the builds in PvP.
You don't have to stretch out the spreadsheet.
Any chance u could ss the build cuz the page is bugged
There is another version with 3x Golan. Your call
Instead of HazPro you can also pick Armor Regen
Alr ima do regen ya
Instead of Matador you could use a Gila bp and use Emperor's Guard kneepads instead
Find your sweet spot and have some alternative pieces ready to react to other players' builds
Anyone know any pve builds thats able to use any exotic weapon?
you should pick hazpro instead of regen
Exotics are all build-specific, they aren't like, a better tier of stuff.
nemesis on my striker build sounds cursed
good hotswap
Mantis for infinite decoy on Striker.
I'm dying inside
I had never played as a Healer before; it's actually quite fun. That's my build.
you mind me asking what is the backpack you use and the talent?
Sure, give a sec. I just turn off the game
Perfect Opportunistic
oh wait what it isnt Opp
Try using the setup backpack
Safeguard but honestly your heals are more than enough without it
tbh you dont need more repair skills, go The Setup
oh I will try that thx
Thanks for the feedback, I'm experimenting, that helps
your teammates will love the 15% amp
You mistyped it and forgot to put the red version.
easy mistake, happens all the time.
Did someone say red FI
I need to make that build. I have a new idea.
It's honestly just so much fun being a murder doctor.
that it's effective on top of its fun is just icing on the cake.
striker set gives 65% weapon damage without armor?
me
Do people really main true patriot?
65 percent amp without the bag and chest
if your only source of builds is div 2 yt clickbait, yes
so its bigger than obliterate then
otherwise, no, nobody uses TP anymore
Yeah but obliterate is a single piece so it's not comparable
TP users aren't real
doesn't obliterate only affect TWD as well unlike striker which is an amp
Yes
twd?
total weapon damage
that
im debating between striker chest or soklov chest with memento backpack
confusingly, it is unrelated with base weapon damage, specific weapon damage, and all weapon damage
Soko
I was testing this in case anyone is interested; it's a total destroyer. And the backpack functions just like Memento (but you avoid having to pick up the trophies).
You can use whatever weapon you want; I use the FAMAS and the MPX for the aesthetics. xD
"functions just like Memento" lol
You have to try it.
ah yes, "memento" but without the long-term buffs and 2 additional cores
where's the skill tier
if this is for normal content, I wouldnt advice using strikers vest
it's a solid build, but to say "functions just like Memento" is inaccurate
Yup. It's just that I like trying out weird things that work with different playstyles.
Curious, which backpack is it ?
I know it doesn't work exactly like the Memento, but it gives you a similar protection buff.
solid mechanic
looks like Liquid Engineer
close enough
yup that one
I just thought it was fun; it gives you a lot of versatility.
i prefer being more than just a "total destroyer" and use a vigilance backpack to kill enemies even faster
the survivability comes from your enemies being dead and unable to shoot you
Ah yeh I see. Doesn't you miss a lot of damage from striker backpack ? I mean, I can understand for solo content that aren't high bullet sponge though.
Of course, this is a build for playing on Heroic—not for a Legendary run.
well at least you acknowledge it
I'd prefer taking my 20 secs revive hive in heroic and run and gun 🤣
seen at minimum one person show their FB + NBB build and claim it shreds legendary
But I can understand
either they're really good(unlikely), getting carried(most likely), or dragging it out for an hour
there was a long argument between a guy and chow here over it
i swear there's always someone arguing over it
now it's taken the form of core strength builds
what is the best band aid solution in striker build for the chest ? im using coyote mask for the exoctic armor and backfire for primary weapon , havent found any secondary yet
equalizer is a solid chest to use
is easy to farm huh ? let me try thanks
Same as any named item
for secondary, you can farm shotguns until you get an ACS-12
not for damage, but to ramp up stacks instantly
For striker and tipping scale builds with equalizer and overdogs, what's the best hot swap gloves replacement for overdogs? For rooms like legendary capitol boss room where you can't really proc it
Huh Overdog will still proc as if there isn't any tier 3 it will jump to tier 2 ect till there no enemies left
Yes, the lowest tier currently on the battlefield
Yes ik that.... just wondering why someone would hot swap it
Right, I miss that part of the convo. So for that particular boss room, there are healing boxes scattered around so you can't really get to tier 2 and 1. So if you want to be optimal, you can choose something like ceska to swap to.
thanks! if i don't want ceska since that messes up current chc (near cap), i should do grupo instead?
Yes
Ik the boss room I just dont find a reason to hot swap instead of just using emp to disable/kill the healing stations I personally don't find the need to hotswap but meh
I mean I don't swap either cos they die all the same. But the boxes are scattered around and I don't destroy them all.
I usually run a tank build for that room so I just run around destory the boxes
How is umbra initiative in pve? Especially master and possibly escalations?
not worth, Strikers will always be king
Not for high endgame but fine for casual
Equalizer chest or striker chest?
subjective answer, what content?
Equalizer chest most of the times.
Casual play equalizer , legendary, escalation ect use striker
Only Escalation.
Agree to disagree
Legendary isnt needed.
Just a general one
If you have to question then equalizer. If you know without a doubt you can stack and keep shooting for long enough sure then.
I know I may have asked this before but uh is a 40-45% CHC an acceptable amount?
Esp when your fire rate is 1125 and have a 50 mag
Using chameleon and I don’t wanna like rely on the talent but I’ve been thinking of swapping out the chest for striker and the mask for coyote to get the CHC
Not really you really want 50%+
Aww ok
I’ll move some stuff around maybe then
To note other reason is better buff body proc the HS isn't that big of a buff.
hay does anyone have a new player friendly lmg build?
@soft crane Enough with the meme pictures.
Image-permissions on this server are a gift from the admins, if they're used poorly, they'll take them away.
Anyway here, use LMG with big mag and has high rate of fire.
That build is fine, just swap the 2nd LMG for say, a fast-firing SMG.
you need something that can quickly build stacks on a Strikers build.
Thats Sleipnir, just trying to grind for its proficiency.
IIRC smg-9 is the current meta option.
If it's a deliberately bad build, don't use it as an example to someone asking for help.
You know the only thing wrong with that build is just the MG5 and even then its a decent LMG for Striker.
It's a decent LMG, but that build has no stack-building weapons, which are critical on a Strikers.
no stack building = you might as well use something else.
What you talking about? Thats Alejandro I'm using.
it's got a solid fire-rate, but I still wouldn't suggest it for stacks.
It's good to get good habits early on for div2.
which smg 9 or does it matter? converted or a2?
ignore the replica part, theyre the same
gotcha ty ill customize this one and give it a shot ill toss the a2 out then 1 less thing in my stash
If you throw Unwavering on it as your secondary striker weapon, you can pop out the SMG, get the stacks built up fast, then swap back very quickly.
lol ok idk if i'm tired or just trippin on the word play but unwavering i swap to secondary smg 9 get 300% weapon handling swap to primary lose buff if i kill someone then swap to primary would i keep the buff?
How does prototype gear work?
Alright thanks
it rips your hair out from frustration
I don't have any hair anymore so uh
Unwering goes on the SMG, the primary has a damage talent, like Killer.
the idea is that you swap to the smg > stack up > swap backl and your killing with the LMG should be able to keep it topped up.
you grow it now, just like Henry Cavill did with his arm reload on that movie
oh the smg's purpose is just striker stacks at beginning of fight got you
is it faster than the acs - 12? i never paid attention if shotguns worked per pellet or per round for striker stacks
The new talent actually may not be bad now too.
I actually have had a hell of a time looting that to test it out.
back and forth?
Im kinda missing the point of saying alejandro is bad for stacks and then recommending a slower firing smg to build stacks. Unless im missing something
your getting to use a talent on another gun which increases the damage in total
The talent on the SMG is massively better for it, as you can swap to it, get some stacks built up, then swap back incredibly fast.
It's saved my life a few times.
And with this season and WH built up via the modifier, it's almost too fast.
300% was actually enough.
the insta reload is pretty cool
I like using that smg burst to break some red weakpoints too, can help distract the enemies without using a skill.
Shotguns works per pellets
Looks tasty
max stacks smg 9 unwavering 10-11 mil dps 53 rounds 1 mag and 10 - 11 mil dps 53 rounds 1 mag BNF now BNF still plays a buff on primary so i'm assuming its better
i miss the insta reload thou
Can we just make the acronym for back and Forth BNF
I had a stroke reading that Reaper
lol sure i'm fine with that
B&F would be a lot clearer.
Me tooo
But I'm too lazy to press shift+7
i feel objectively instead of focusing on damage the insta reload would probably be better to help maintain stacks for striker which would inturn be more stable damange instead of burst damage is that the main difference or am i looking to deep into this....
You've started to circle around to the other side of div2: "how many meta's does it take to change a lightbulb?".
I see your point striker has a slow stack decay so I don't really see the reason to pick it up but insta reload is nice
well i was considering if one used the chest along with the backpack in raids and such it might be better due to the double decay for stacks but idk the math as i rarely ever use the chest but was a thought
btw thanks rivens appreciate this upgrade lol feels way better
I mainly run striker with chest and I personally find it easy to keep the 200 stack even without BnF but I'll give it a run a see how it compares
Choosing a secondary is a preference on the player and their playstyle. Generally the thought is it covers the weakness of the primary.
So Elmo it has poor burst and SMG would cover that.
what do you use for a secondary?
Stockbroker
ah the thing i have never seen lol
that's because Stockbroker is a profession
It's just an ACS 12 that has a higher rof exchange for damage
It's fun dumping 160 pellets into a guy in less then 3 seconds
i know just never got one; i got an acs 12 with well everything i want just never got a chance to try stack broker out
Hopefully stretch goal caches will drop them
iz all good i get what i get lol if i stress over something like a gun i wouldnt be able to play half the games i own haha
Lol
took me 329 shd levels to get memento
Huh that's quite a bit
oh i got something worse how bout 780 shd for scorpio lol
well anyways thanks to the update i got my hands on several exotics i couldnt get my hands on
I mean if you aren't actively looking for an exotic then it is gonna take a while to get
i did target loot for about 92ish shd levels and stopped i got 190 something parts of exotics so wasnt like i wasn't getting exotics but the majority was what i had already
my acitivities ranged from outposts to countdown i didnt repeat manhunts and i didn't participate in iron horse or get into dark zone much (part of the reason i went with hotshot as my first build)
striker was 2nd after attempting countdown saw very quickly that HS ain't gonna work lol but for me HS has always made outposts and now retaliations a piece of cake
i see
Am i crazy or do sniper builds really fall off as you go up in difficulty?
i feel like you are boxed into using headhunter and determined, and in higher difficulties it can feel impossible to get the ball rolling cause of all the armor
Only in higher Teir escalation.
It's just gameplay and knowledge is the rest of it.
He's kinda not wrong. Plus target prioritization is key. If you know someone has a helmet but you have no stacks, you have no choice but to ignore that enemy until you get stacks w/ HH
Or if you're being outright attacked, break their helmet and kill em. Keep the ball rolling
my point is more along the lines that on the highest difficulty they all have armor and you dont have the same chances to build stacks compared to usual
I can use HH builds just fine without determined (Nemesis user here) on Legendary
To be fair I have yet to see anyone try to take a headhunter build into escalation
anyone here have a cover build?
like you sit in cover to get bonuses type of build
Staying in 1 place is usually always a bad call
It hits a hard limit at a point due to scaling.
good for you bro, my point isnt that its impossible but that it falls off in comparison to other builds...
Correct, which is why I see most people run it with LMGs because more damage per mag compared to something that requires getting kills
Umbra is half sit in cover to get buffs, half get out of cover to get buffs
can move but stay in cover build like with composure etc
Eesh yeah don't bother with that composure talent. It's booty cheeks
I mean that's 4 man legendary which is the peak of what it can do.
You see the priority of what he's being shot first for HH
God forbid somebody pushes your cover and you have to get out of it. Damage goes bye bye
this is what i was looking to confirm, that it is indeed just generally better to build for something other than snipers just cause its easier/more efficient
Well, when your enemy pool has like 500% more armor and health, MMRs take a nose dive off a cliff. Which is why you aren't seeing Toastey and all them running with MMRs
We've already power creeped MMRs with Overdogs and Shroud/Nemesis. Still won't be enough to 1 shot past a certain point
they were talking about an endgame mode with like 5x enemy health, in most cases a headhunter build works fine
and all the armor break abilities are lowkey cheeks to use xD
thats the exact type of content i came here asking about
Sadly on escalation, LMGs are the go to for just mag size/mag damage alone
to be honest it's such specific content with specific builds it's hard to know if you meant exactly it or legendary/raids/incursion/retaliations which all mostly use the same builds
yeah ive noticed and am already using a pestilence build for 90% of my high difficulty content
escalation is not remotely comparable to the rest of the game
I basically look at it as missions but you make them exponentially harder since they still use heroic AI
the builds you use in escalation you wouldn't use in legendary for example, and the opposite is also false obviously
Correct on that. How's tipping doing in terms of escalation? Or is everything just "striker"?
I'm not afraid to say it, I've only done up to tier 3
i haven't tried tipping but the long windup is gonna kill it
i haven't done tier 10, but got to tier 8, frenzy lmg and backfire is the play for me
Iron Lung might have a spot for the long windup, then insta swap to Bluescreen maybe?
eh it's not worth doing
Yeah backfire should be stupid easy to max stack that
I'm working on getting more cores but i'm not super motivated to play the mode ngl
but i think my goto build for it is ceska vigi + contractor + 4p striker
I've been avoiding it. Even tier 3 is difficult not because the content is hard, but because the DAMAGE they deal hurts
ideally all proto
Even with nearly 1m armor I still get nearly 1 tapped depending on the enemy
Me tooo
yeah you have to peek with tall cover like in leg except they're a lot tankier
They really are. Occasionally one bullet will slip and hit me, sometimes 2 or 3 how bad the angle actually is. It's not exactly easy to gauge
foam is goated tho, even if they're immune at low health they still try to dodge roll it
I've been rolling with a decoy to try to force pull aggro off me. Then run Nimble
i swapped off decoy to foam, keeping sticky
my decoy just dies too fast now just due to their scaling
For me it's just enough time to allow me to reposition with nimble and get myself healed and back into the fight. It's been my go-to exotic slot for a hot minute now. I'll happily trade up the dogs if using cover to cover rewards me with heals
Expertise carries damage enough anyways
Plus I've got Lung/Famas measured. Crowd control and good DPS when needed
Around what tier would you say striker chest is a must?
is rpm or dmg more important for a striker build which one should I use
When it comes to SMGs, the top performers are currently:
SMG-9 w/ Killer (or Unwavering if secondary slot)
Tac Vector 9mm w/ Killer (unwavering if secondary)
Dark Winter (has perfect killer, also a DZ exclusive)
Damage and RPM are both important. In this case, with striker, SMGs aren't in a great spot meta wise
I personally feel like they need a slight buff to really make SMGs be something to consider. It's a heavily dominant AR/LMG meta right now
By number for vectors: tax >. 45 > SBR.
Like mentioned beforehand SMG9 is much better balance smg.
yea this isn't a permanent choice I just hit lvl 40 and I'm grinding up a striker build the guide I'm reading rn said just take whatever has a high rpm
I personally would go for Dark Winter if using striker, that's a me decision though
If you can manage to get an SMG-9 with killer (assuming you'll be maining an SMG), should be set to go
I would like to advise against taking an SMG with striker since you have to get pretty close to an enemy for them to be effective. The AR/LMG combo is hard to beat at the moment since it's good for all distances
I don't have an ar with above 800 rpm rn
The Aug will do just fine, the AR variant
It's accurate, has decent RPM for what you get, has an already large mag size as well
I don't have the aug
Since you did mention you're new and likely don't have the 20 round extended 5.56 mag, the Aug is a solid choice
Can always target farm assault rifles in countdown
I'm reading the guide right now
Small steps.
prioritizing getting a 4 piece striker rn I just need to know whats the best option out of the 3 for now
Ah, with what you got? Heard. What's the 3rd attribute on your .45 cal vector?
You'll want damage to targets out of cover as that. If you have it, slap killer on that vector
magazine size
interchange and sbr 9mm
Well, HSD is better than mag size. Use the 9mm SBR for now as a placeholder. Slap killer on it if you have that in your talent library
alright
for hard wired is btsu better than wyvern?
Depends on the build.
just HW with explosive spam
If you're looking to just spam skills, yeah id say BTSU is very powerful
Allows you to overcharge say a healing or stinger hive and any team skills refresh and OC
using china too
In my case I just use Hana-U with glass for the haste
what about solo build
But my HW build is set up around repair hive and EMP pulse for drones
deep down, we've established ourselves to be effective casuals
ey a good roll
how about this pp-19
idk how many times I can modify a weapon but I can replace that optimal range with 9% crit damage and stabilize with killer alongside 21% crit chance
the guide tells you
only once gg
That's great to hear!
Despite my comments, as someone who loves theorycrafting, I'm actually fairly happy Buildstation exists.
I just didn't agree with the common "Yea it shows wrong numbers, it's just not finished, just use a different tool" reply being thrown around here; If it's not finished, a disclaimer would've been nice. We all know how the internet works otherwise; Someone is absolutely going to pull it out of context.
As a dev myself; Are there currently still any aspects that require solutions and/or appear hard (or too complex) to implement?
Join the discord server for it if you want to continue more with this or just DM Shin.
Trying to not spam this channel.
Kinda ironic, given that you've spend more time arguing that all of these changes/disclaimers are "not important yet, because it's not finished" in a channel about build advise, compared to the time I've spend explaining that they're not accurate.
But sure, I'll move this to their server directly.
Um. Context wise are you talking about buildstation?
I mentioned your previous post about YouTubers and that the dps isn't correct to shin.
Yo so what's like the best rec set up for the modifier stuff. Using cloud armor, what's the go to passives?
I just checked the messages again and.. yea, I've mixed two things up here.
Not only wasn't it you (god damn /invite starting names lol), I've definitely seen the "Need to notify the devs" as more sarcastic than intended yesterday.
The few times I've mentioned that Buildstation is great but their "calculations" page is not something you can go by currently, the comments have just been "Use a different tool", "What isn't working?" from people thinking it's accurate or "It's still WIP, so not important".
And - especially in a build advise channel - I'm not agreeing on a commonly linked build page having incorrect numbers "Not being important".
What’s a good healer build for stuff like incursions and escalations?
Thank you
I think we're on the same page about buildstation.
I asked what's wrong with mx builder and buildstation because I am a helper and can fix a decent amount of stuff.
if i want to make big damage , is it worth it to run like the generic striker build with overdogs / equalizer , and maybe run a bighorn for that insane hs damage buildup ? or its not as good as expected
Bighorn is strong if you can beam enemies in the head reliably, but the handling isn't great so that tends to be easier said than done, especially at longer ranges
even with those modifier that give handling from the season ? because people tend to play with headshot damage , but with that weapon its basically diminish return on that so might just play with lot of handling at this point
yeah mostly speaking about dps at this point , like just being able to shred mob in heroic cp retal etc , i'm still missing lot of shd level for now so my overall dmg is lower and usually other build tend to not have the necessarry damage to take down enemy before they can shoot you , and since its " dps " you are always repairing because you take a shoot xd
Give it a try and see how it works for you, personally I just find it too awkward to reliably laser headshots beyond short range, whereas something like lex with the hsd from the modifiers is much easier
Bighorn does suffer from a smaller mag than most, too
i always heard about lexington , but cant have one to try anything with it because its a seasonal item nah ?
or is there a waay to get it
Not at the moment, police m4 is basically the same though, just fractionally lower damage
otherwise the classic " best " dps build is just the striker / equalizer / overdogs or there is something better ?
more speaking about general use , not like the " long stacking version " that deal more damage but only few scenario where you can actually stack it max and hold it
Thats the best
Ol'Reliable
Magnum Opus
Good old
MG5 w/killer
It'd actually would be PGC and Gift.
whats gift ?
What's considered the standard for the poison launcher damage per ticket
That actually outdamages overdogs? Or just at low stacks?
More uptime and more starting dmg. I forget the numbers between both.
pgc and gift
a hood classic
P. Vigilance
they really dont have down time except when you got hit and then you dont want to get hit cause pgc
I was using pvgc a few seasons ago but switched to overdogs (and then equaliser) as everyone seemed to think that was the top dps option
They asked a question this is one of the answers.
As a solo player, what skills would you recommend I use for a striker build? I usually use a shield and revive hive. However, I find my shield gets destroyed relatively quickly on higher levels. I don’t want to sacrifice the red cores on my build, and I imagine there are better options for skills?
just dont get hit tm
the shield is not something you facetank with, you pop it out in short bursts to give you a small leeway for getting hit
anyway, banshee, emp sticky, foam chem and decoy are all excellent options
any. the ones I use vary a lot, from Sticky EMP, Decoy, Crusader Shield, Demolisher Firefly, Blinder Firefly
Revive + emp sticky or banshee.
Ability to stagger enemies is kinda huge when you are being focused.
Can anyone pls help me am a division resurgence Player i don't know where to buy weapon
Sorry this is a channel for Division 2
The official Resurgence discord is linked in #social-media
@patent fossil can you just tell me

The people that play resurgence will be in the official discord, please follow where you were directed
how relevant are these and how much do i need to replace :p
usually when you " build " dps , you prefer having chd or chc on the gear , ( like holster etc ) and then fill with chc on mod , or its just matter of balance that you want
All pretty relevant. Ceska oblit chest is usually equalizer with perfect oblit now. Coyote is generally overdogs exotic glove now. Both will still play well as is atm
looks like i dont have the gloves where do i get it
Thats my healer build. I forgot what to replace. I think the backpack.
Hyena retaliations drop the blueprint. Its in general loot pool so glove target anywhere
BTSU Datagloves is in the general lootpool.
They already have btsu
got that
what gloves you're looking for then?
i just want stat effect
Is there a specific gear set that would be recommended to run with st elmos?
Im currently running CS and overdogs, woth mostly critical chance and dmg cores (im new) 😭🙏
Striker
Bro what is everyones obsession with cs
Extract that repair skill
It's new and when you don't know any better it seems good
CS is ok for messing around
Its ok I wouldn't say its near meta tho PvE wise. But for PvP its starting to show.
It makes sense as a pvp build, but in pve it's just not worth using
Better than this. I call it the Exp farm build because all my gear and skills except my Rifle are low proficiency and I plan on running builds like these until I'm ExpLv30 lol
That's a super inefficient way to get expertise up though... While nerfing yourself in the process
alr have a 20% extracted
Not really as all the stuff I have to EXP now is skills and named
Since the pic? That little white arrow is showing you don't
Just adding my 5 cents. I do like PvE in CS, but I feel like I'm missing out. I have HF techtank bruiser, Strikers and they feel much more powerful. I like HF the most, but looking for something new to try out that have enough tankiness and good damage. Any ideas fellas?
I just started pumping all the printer filament in things..
since the pic ye, got another courier drop with the exact same stats
Also running Countdown with Gear Mods as drop so getting tonnes of Filament to speed it up
Returning player, looking for recommendations for an AR and talent that I can expertise 30 and prototype. (I have to wait on stretch goals before I can get Lexington)
Is there any calculations/tests on how fast this is, compared to targeted farming if you still need a given set from 0 to 10?
for legendary missions do i change striker at all?
how to start farming prototypes?
Play Escalation and pray
Idk i saw it come out with the update as thats when I picked up the game finally, and saw a video saying CS is good. Just so happens it was around the time I hit lvl 40 and I was doing a mission that it dropped on
Ill be going for a striker set now that I have a little more of an understanding of the game
Is there any good status effect build
-
Vile exotic mask
-
4 Pieces Eclipse protocol including the chest piece
-
Electrique backpack with Creeping Death talent
-
Scorpio exotic shotgun
time to farm Scorpio
is it possible to survive without shield, i am using striker shotgun build
I don't know, but from 0-10 GS is like 2 Challenging Countdowns with 4 pieces equipped
With the event active ofcourse
I don't mean running a specific set, but donating dropped pieces.
If you target loot a specific set and just donate the pieces, it's also 2 runs. I'm curious how much faster/slower donating resources by targeting mods would be in comparison.
IDK, but since Named items and Skills are all I have left Filament seems the fastest way to get there
Oh, absolutely.
I've just seen it suggested for people here, without adding the context of "max out your sets and other easy stuff first" and it's likely slower compared to targeting those.
On single Named Items I am getting a little over 1 level Prof per run
overdogs exotic one
localdeck mentioned where to get that
oh
Hyenas Retaliations from the Kill Squads
youtuber clickbait glazed it to hell
Is there any High End SMG build?
Want to use Backfire and I'm okay with sacrificing the higher dmg ceiling of striker, get the SMG more accuracy
got mine from exotic cashe
every season unless the set is super dogshit
think when using backfire accuracy is the last thing you have to worry about
is 12 the highest protection from elites will go?
13% is the max on mods
thanks
they're undescribably rare though, so effectively you can just treat 12s like max
When are we getting a PFE bonus on a brandset
trying to put something together for the final journey missions but im not sure what im supposed to build
🙏
Iirc there's a named holster or gloves with a decent accuracy boost, you could also just trade off crit rolls for handling since smgs have innate crit
Also, is there any other SMG that can beat Backfire in terms of TTK?
Chatterbox maybe, note both guns are quite situational in terms of when you can get the most out of them, eg:
#ask-td2-community message
So it's like the Striker Chest haha
More or less yes
Oof. What would be some good HE SMG choices then?
You get much higher damage potential but you need the right conditions to make it worth using over other options
Vector family and the converted smg-9 are popular
Chatterbox, conversely, is at its strongest when you've got lots of low health enemies
with Killer talent right
Killer and measured are popular yeah
Alternatively now, back and forth
Or unwavering if you want it as a secondary
It sort of depends if you want it as your primary or stack-building gun, and if those are the same single gun or not.
This doesn't exist
And until I get one I will hold that stance
7 years of farming.
I mean I maxed out Printer Filament and never saw one
cool edit
If you think I have the prowess to edit it that well, you have more confidence in my editing than I do.
It was A.I.
This is more my speed:
😔 where mine
Do I keep these ones for something? I think I saw that somewhere
Or was it a joke because 5.11?
uhhh maybe backfire? 5.11 is p sad though
Is there a dps medic build somewhere out there?
what now
The Refactor build is what you're looking for yes.
can you link or post it?
Check pins
Hi just reinstalled the game after a couple years what gear sets are good now and where's the best place to get the good stuff?
is the heal stronger than future ini?
Striker's Battlegear.
No, FI is for pure support healing build.
🗣️ future ini on top
Where's the best place to farm it?
More like slightly different uses. Refactor can still deal decent damage.
now i just need to find someone that can help me get the quick walk pistol
i honestly need to grab that too because the walking in retal/countdown is getting ridiculous
Countdown and Retaliation.
@analog mural I can host Houndsman bounty but Im done for today.
oo thought it would be better to just run pure healer
i just need to stay in your lobby even if you leave right?
yeye ill check on lfg later that would be better since im afk rn
Yeah, I will activate the bounty once the team is filled. Then I will leave to host another.
Top right of the map. Pentco Fairview nuclear power plant.
guys whats the best build for retaliation
thanks and where do we select preffered gear
Anything. Your average striker dps build should do more than enough.
👴 i forgot
Over the countdown icon, press H iirc
can we pick on the new reta thing too?
Retaliation or summit also works for targeting loot, is the same in all 3
thanks again
Yes, Targeted Loot feature is available in Countdown, Retaliation, and Summit.
how good is the amount of loot drops in retal compared to cd
Countdown is the best for farming because you can get more than 50+ items in a single run so make sure you have enough inventory spaces.
@analog mural @boreal widget
Hah, I was writing that message down when you asked.
So guys, this is my current build. It gets job done so far, but I'm wondering what can I change to make it better. I do like a bit of survivability.
Change Striker's chest to either Equalizer or Česká with Obliterate. Maybe have Brazen on your shotgun. Less blue cores is a good start for more damage
Gunner specialization for 10% armor on kill helps too. No need to run this like a tech tank
loosing alot of dmg not running striker Bag
So Striker Bag and Ceska chest would be a good choice?
i personally prefer the equalizer chest, it has perfect obliterate
It's ok to run Memento with Striker's if someone needs a crutch in terms of survivability. The additional blue cores however lead to further damage loss
true
Damage wise, yes. You will get more survivability by being able to kill NPCs faster - also use cover well
Gonna try 2 Ceska and Striker Bag for now. Will look for a better Equalizer as well because the one I have is bad.
what's the best seasonal modifiers for dps builds
Convert 1 Offense, Compress Offense, Nullify
Hellppp why can’t I play escalation??
Need to be expertise 30
u dont need to be exp 30 to play escalation
so is there a fix coming for when rerolling an augment bricks your item?
It does not brick it, it's a visual bug. Just relog to see your item's real stats. Apparently it is under investigate and being worked on
Oh so the original stat is still there you just cant see it? Because its definitely bricked 2 of my clan mates items
when they rerolled the augment it rolled off crit chance and relogging does not change it back
I have not heard of that - can't say
ya its not the bug youre referring to
ya its probly best not to even try right now
Make sure to report it or upvote an existing post on the new bug reporter platform
its already known, one of the main content creators for this game quit over it
Who would that be?
If you mean iKia, he quit the game before this stuff went even live
yep but it was this bug he got in the PTS
Oh right my bad, I thought my friend couldn’t play cause he didn’t have 30 expertise
Yeah IDK why we even have PTS' when half of the bugs we found (a week or so before launch date of a live season roughly) can't even get addressed due to being short on time...
ya and these bugs dont even make sense unless they used AI to write the code
the drop rates to, like cmon, you cant tell me they actually thought that was a good idea
But hey, they already increased it 😄
IDK much about the Snowdrop engine but it must be hell of a mess with how easy it is to brick it
Is there a better gun to run with strikers + overdogs + equalizer than st elmos? I’m shd 400 so I know I’m missing some damage but I’m getting obliterated by black tusk drones and nades in retaliation on challenging.
Any AR with +790 RPM and a damage talent
lexignton has a bit higher numbers but many prefer st elmos
Lexington is basically just a Police M4 with only 4% increased base damage. Very small difference
yep and the added crwond control of st elmos and mag size is why many just use it
With a damage talent a Lexington or any high end ar can do significantly more damage
what
anyone can write bad code
yes i know but the bugs themselves dont make sense for something a human wrote
all game that lasts long enough just becomes a jenga tower of things that multiple different people have stacked on top of eachother
because the guy who wrote source code might not be around anymore, so the guy who is charge now has to go around it, and then later the third guy has to do that song and dance twice
MMOs are one of the few games that are just built in such a way they know they will revisit that 7 years later to completely rework stuff
ya im just saying, something is off about these bug in particular, what they added is simple and straightforward. Simply updating a gear piece like protyping should not cause the wide range of bugs were currently experiencing
is this a good roll?what build would benefit from this?was planning to roll all yellow.
Useful in PvP for armor regen probably
like what they added is a tried and true feature across MANY games and theres only a few explanations for why it went this badly
Its useful for a regen tank, but that's mostly limited to the IH raid.
Since it halfed in PvP and doesnt have the damage component Catharsis has, I wouldn't use it tbh
Oh I wasn't aware. But makes sense, probably for the better
hey agents - are there any reccomended builds for a solo fresh 40 player? found an epic spreadsheet here
Striker is the general recommendation starting out, as it can do basically any content, then you can branch out to builds that suit your playstyle better.
What pieces are you running?
Lexington secondary, primary cricket fox prayer knees and contractor gloves, the rest is nego
You definitely want 60% chc for nego or you're losing opportunities to transfer damage
shall i swap a mod out for chc?
Yup
Or run ceska obliterate chest, nego chest isn't the best in most circumstances
I havent found one thats better than my chest yet
Cricket is pretty mediocre tbh, I wouldn't recommend fox's and Contractor's here either.
The negotiator chest is pretty mediocre as well.
I'd recommend equalizer chest and ceska gloves or knees tbh.
You already protoed this 👀
Are you consistently marking 5 enemies?
Honestly for escalation there's enough targets to probably do that, but you just don't have enough damage output
Shall I proto striker instead?
Skill tiers are broken rn
also this is my second nego build, my main one i havent touched yet
Striker is more worthwhile for escalations, but it also depends how you have it set up
thanks 🙂 !
Problem with striker is, if any enemies rush, you end up dead
It's great on single targets, but if you need to swap targets at all, youre done.
that's the problem with nego lmao
Bro just flexing
you need the focused single target damage with striker to kill enemies rushing you.
Best guns to run with striker build?
Fair enough and yah, internet context sucks! LOL
Nothing difficult/complex, it's mostly just not enough time. Are you interested in helping?
how much dps can a full optimized refractor build do?
Anyone here have a smart cover build
I could hop in when it comes to testing stuff in-game, general feedback (gimme Shroud bonus toggle :P) and if there's anything you have in mind but no way to easily implement, I can definitely work out a solution.
Currently not enough time to pick up another side project to continuously "work on", however. Just got into one. :p
On the general topic of the chanel; I've finally managed to hit the 20m+ (and 25m+) on my striker setup, without external (other people) buffs. So the "20-30m" claims aren't actually all that wrong, despite the person back then claiming that range with no context lol
Depends on your build. Also it's hard to measure because drone and turret damage is a little inconsistent
You can put Smart Cover on anything really
I like using it on my FI set
using 4pc striker and overdogs, which is better fox prayer or equalizer or ceska+obliterate?
Depends on the content you run
Generally Equalizer and Overdogs up to heroic difficulty is commonly used
There's your answer lol
How can i pit 30/30/30 in season modifier?
best talent for lexington? striker build, before prototyping it lol
Ah the good old striker build.
Ye let me resend my stats lol
I thought was a bug lol 😆
Measured or Killer.
