Send it. Im in an experimental phase
Ah but you see. Im bad
So am I
Heartbreaker holster chest knee backpack
Overdogs and ceska mask for more crit chances
I would send the full build pic but I’m in bed at the moment
You have to remember as well that people with Blue Core builds have 30 exp weapons so they get 2 Red Cores from that. So even if you just changed 2 to Red Core you would be much better off and still keep your Shield level because of <Memento>
This fella got no expertise 30 tho look at elmo
That is my point
Ye that good fella needs some reds in there
I'd recommend trying out some strong CC options such as banshee pulse and blinder firefly. Don't trade shots when multiple enemies have line of sight and use CC to disrupt them and catch them off guard
If you still want to use memento use this
Ceska mask + memento
Heartbreaker chest glove knee holster
Also a high-end assault rifle and technician specialization
For the linked laser pointer (LLP)
Ye laser sight for guaranteed pulse
Dont have overdogs
Try this then
All of this is great advice thank you
Your welcome I’ll send the setup I use tomorrow
I’ll @ you tomorrow here if that’s alright with ya
legendary missions don't scale so I high recommend you have a full party when attempting them
That works
They do tho. But differently
does anyone have a good ravenous build ?
Rav is a niche weapon due to its talent. But when the niche is used correctly nothing else beats it.
i would like a good build that breaks armor does that make sense?
Rav works without a build
I didn't realize, how is it different from normal scaling?
The NPC damage scales with group size but not as blatant as from one difficulty to another. Health is also scaled but the amount of NPCs aren't affected as much IIRC
Should ask in #ask-td2-community but I think so
that's really cool, i've gotta look into it more sometime. I usually play with one friend so i'm curious how it differs
I think we have something in the build hub too for scaling.
sweet, thanks for the input. I'll take a look now
the one below that is the HP numbers
oh wow, that one's a lot more detailed. Thanks again
There's a ton of good info around here just a lot of it. LOL
yeah, it's kind of overwhelming at first, but the intricacies make the game a lot more entertaining to engage with
is there a way to get a second investors mask?
I copied what you said but mine shows 26/16/16 does it change due to something else or
Did you put the passive modifiers in the order I posted?
Is your active skill maxed out
All 3
OH no only 2 are maxed
You get +points for the active level
I need to max the skill one then okay got it, thanks
Could get a 290 round Bluescreen if im not mistaken lol
290 Ongoing Directive hollowpoint rounds
🤓
Yea holy mag lol
340 Alejandro is crazy though. Even near the end of the last season when we got that mag boost I was only at like 250 I think?
This is my go to for now
Now I want to finish my OD build with Tinkerer..
What talents you going to run?
Found these dudes earlier that made my bluescreen build easily playable in Retaliation and that was dope
Just laying down bullets everywhere dude. Constant bleeds and such. I dont even think im using it as optimally as I could but it works
Frenzy with the 340 round mag though. Every 10 rounds is +3% rof and +3% weapon damage.. thats quite a bump
Too many rounds to be effective
Yea i mean just straight pissing through ammo lol
How so?
You lose Frenzy before you run out of ammo so you are wasting rounds on no bonus
The mag is gonna be empty faster than you can look with the increased RoF.. but also your ammo
gonna be out of ammo in like 30 seconds
send it
worth a shot though. If it doesnt work out well I'll just switch to Measured Sadist instead
Well on the other side of that coin, youre doing all of that potential damage a whole lot faster
hey guys, can anyone craft Overdogs gloves? i have bad luck dropping them
can't share crafted items
Ya your fine with the build
hehe, skill build with ~2 million armor is fun
interesting that the memento bonus armor calculates with the original armor value and not with the boosted armor given by core strength
If I got a dollar for everytime I've someone say 2 mill armor in the past few months even more in the last few days I'd be able to buy a real GPU..
I think heartbreaker might be my pick if I want to go close to or full red due to the built in bonus armor
If I am boring and run memento, its a bump to survivability and damage, but notably slowly healing armor underneath the bonus armor, and I can run technician for the pulse sight
I could forgo memento for overdogs for higher raw damage, but opens a hole in fixing raw armor but gunner aok can fix that, but now id be relying on the headshots for pulse alone which isnt too bad but its less free than the tech sight. But now that leaves the backpack slot open and ive got no idea of what high end it could fill (anarchists cookbook?), and then theres the option of just the set backpack just for a little bit more survivability
Just kinda sucks that the chest is that important so it has to take over the spot of equalizer
Have I said anything stupid or failed to consider anything and am therefore stupid
The first line of my post
what are you using atm?
Make a build that is all (or nearly) red while still having some padding
3b/2r/memento strikers, technician to hit tier 6 on crusader shield
It works for basically everything, especially solo stuff but im just wanting to have more than 1 build that I can use without it strictly being worse due to suffering too much in one area, whether that be survivability or damage
??
Right now elmos cuz its just plug and play
go to a weapon with killer
On my current build or the heartbreaker one?
Both
80% of CS build are 2mill armor builds.
I have a famas with killer that I used until I got elmos, and elmos was an instant jump in killing power though
even tho Famas killer has more burst DPS than elmo
there an updated fi healer build bc the one in the spreadsheet it over 1.5 years old. or is it just still standing strong?
Nothing has changed
🙏
I've tried a few different things with my limited brainpower and came up with this, 33% weapon handling and 29% armor, ofcourse you could get them higher but in my opinion this is pretty good for my playstyle
My armor feels too low but I've been holding my own. it's like 700k
I can play on challenging
Embrace being a glass cannon
Normally in games I focus on health or armor before anything else. Here I'm focused on Crit chance and damage
No dmg = no fun
How viable is the shotgun build with Tinkerer's Mask and Ongoing Directive? Seemed neat.
hi im looking for build for maximizing granade dmg
ive been trying to figure out how to get one of those stacks higher than 50, what are the passives here?
Trying to set up a ravenous build, thinking either Virtuoso and playing into the low range, or a ninjabike full highend build, or a core strength build. Has anyone tried any of these or have other suggestions
Ongoing directive + ouroboros, doable?
not worth
Split attack, saturate utility and cascade
Those are what I use but you could just saturate anything and use consume of the same one
Gives 55 I think
Split Utility, Nullify and Cascade should be highest possible Offense and Defense
is core strength as strong as i've been hearing? ive been kind of interested in it
I have 6 yellow tiers with 2.2mil armor and pestilence at 115k. Its probably not the best though
48, 48 and 35, mine has 33, 58 and 55
yeah but your Utility doesn't give any bonus.
More armor less handling
like i was thinking of a damage setup with core strength
Its pretty good, all benefits of one core and 40% of the others
i guess i'll hunt for it then
Split Offensive, Consume Utility and Nullify could give you 40 WH, 12.5% Armor and 40% SD
I prioritize armor though cause I run striker, I get all the benefits of striker +33% WH and 29% armor
For Striker I run 45% mag size
I've found WH to be better to use atleast in my opinion since the st. Elmo's already has a 70 mag
I rerolled Bluescreen and got 14.8% damage, max OoC, max headshot. Keep it or keep rerolling for crit chance? I'm already at 54.3% as it stands, so I'm 99% "keep it."
less reloading, faster clears
Faster reload, faster clears
a compelling debate
not bad so far
chc
Looking at Journey 8, never run legendary group missions before, just countdown. Is it pretty much the same idea for a build? little bit of armor buffer, bunch of DPS? I usually use a 4 red 2 blue tipping scales w/ coyote there.
Legendary is above heroic difficulty expect almost all enemies to be like the hunters in countdown
No drone build then 😛
They cant take over your drones but they do a lot of damage
They die quicker than hunters
That's good at least
let's not post KVD links without context.
core strengh set up
You can run refactor
Cool? Nothing special....
Let me guess 2mill armor?
How do you unlock the blueprints to craft optimization materials? I have so few of them, it seems really hard to come by them
The one I needed most, I saw you earn it by killing hyena bosses. That would take forever
Maybe this is the wrong channel to ask
Any viable builds for Core Strength so far?
What’s the best way to farm ninja bike bag and blueprint?
chem launcher, oxidizer is the purple gas that just deals raw damage through walls
useful to deal with enemies stuck in spawn
I know DTTOOC is the best but cmpn I feel like I have to keep this what do we think
I mean dttoc is a big damage source
i have spent so many materials
It doesnt have to be perfect anyways
im so tired boss
I have two Elmo's one with DTTOC and one with DTA. I don't notice any difference in time to kill
Just aim for the head. Like Thor should have in The Avengers Infinity War
is od build best with all reds? i've seen some older posts with status effect but that doesn't seem to work well
Yes there is one in the spreadsheet
They're weaker now they don't work with pummel but they still do the job
what works the best for its intended use i guess would be what i'm after i am fine with passive proc and chilling behind cover or being aggressive
Anything more specific😭
Does obliterate affect pesti stacks
I don't think so
If you want high ticks (perfect) glass cannon is a must
Aside from glass cannon what chest talent does?
Im not too keen on using that rn
Already pushing it with all red
Trust us on this. You need PGC with the Pesti.
That 30% is make or break for the entirety of the build?
Everything adds up
i was told that it can help with the current ammo modifier as most other builds i've used i run out of ammo except when i use hot shot as it replinishes my ammo for 3 consective head shots and was looking for something to that extent which they recommend od might be closest thing so now i'm trying to attempt to build one for that reason
Somewhat
You're boosting ticks and gun damage by 30 percent straight up
Im already basically a sneeze away from death with all red as im not fully accustomed to it and throwing on +60% (iirc) damage taken doesnt help with that lol
just try bluescreen with it bruh
It can yes
Trust us on this. You need PGC with the Pesti.
Though in my opinion if you just run gunner it should be enough ammo regeneration
Yeah ik its a flat amp but with the only source of sustain being gunner aok id probably crumble rn
The idea on red builds is to kill everything before you crumble, pesti makes short work of it
The high end setup with lengmo and all that is beautiful for solo play
In groups Coco does the same thing but wayyyy better
Thats the point of the build, or any red build. You kill them faster than they kill you. No more 3 business days killing an elite like any blue build. You with the big dogs now
so your saying as long as i have gunner any build should be fine with the ammo modifier if so what am i doing wrong i got a tippin scales build fully maxed and a striker build 92% maxed and both use up too much ammo idk if its lack of damage or missing rounds thats the issue but both are similiar in nature as aggressive full reds
Thats what i mean
Killing everything before that is both build+experience/execution and im not fully comfortable on the latter
Fair enough
I hate prototype gear so damn much
Well tipping scales definitely won't help with ammo economy
Grinded multiple hours, only 3 roles, none of them usable
this good enough for an aces and eights crit build?
But yeah if it's really an issue just use OD
could just be me but i rock blue screen with Ongoing Directive and gunner. 200 rounds of Hollow Point per kill and pretty constant status effects around and such and such. 4 red cores, 2 blue. ran it today and if you have a guy healing a bit its freakin dope
You really have to ask if they actually had anyone play test it outside of the test server
Rn the best way is upgrading your own gear
They will fold and fix it somewhat.
Grinding drops from escalation is like finding a needle in a haystack in a field of haystacks
I just don’t have the will to go through the grind the grind is miserable
We have triple proficiency next week, that would be the best time
what 2 pieces did you go with and is the mostly red chc and chd? and lol ya i'm using a blue screen as we speak felt the best in terms of fit
Yeah
Can i get an opinion on this? Is there something I should change? If it’s good. What weapon should I pair it with?
At what level does the required amount of items drop, the 200 requirement is killing me
People are just doing raids, incursion for the parts, and upgrading their own. Way more efficient
Wdym
Haven't even been able to finish my stuff off yet, need to grind calibration and recon data
Theres a grind issue no one ever discusses, for leveling up, you need to hit a cap of leveled items, for example
Im expertise 9, I need 200 levels (20 items)
Yea
That shit is miserable and the fact that they didn’t even touch it 😭
Like I say the triple xp makes it significantly more bearable but no matter how you cut it it's a big grind
This is the setup. It could certainly be better. 2 of the mods are prot from elites. And I have like 4 points in my chc, not in chd for SHD. There's a lot you can tweak to make it tankier, more dps, more CC. Its got options. Could also try Vile and a ton of Status Effects
And even if I do wony and get another batch of shd points, Im still under 2k so I will absolutely need to do it multiple times
I went up 18 levels in the last triple event so it's definitely doable
Ill try I suppose
Muling died ages ago
What happened?
When they released Brooklyn they gave us a level 40 boost and made watch points shared across all characters
fuuuuuuuuuuck
The way I did it was just buying out every vendor/crafting and mass donate
Grinding houndsman for named items, countdown for any leftovers and then spending filament
Im betting my 200 requirement drops at 15 levels which is still just brutal
It gradually goes down to like 90 eventually
But you need 30 to unlock prototype anyway so it's all the same really 😭
Literally the only reason I want this is because I want to make my lexington strong enough to make up for damage loss on my damage healer set ups Ivebeen messing with
I don’t care about the resource half of it its just the reaching 30 in general part that has me broken
You certainly will when you see the prices 💀😭
I just want my damage healer to be my main build
what talent does backpack have?
you try a bittersweet build? pretty dope
I don't think it will to temper your expectations
Prototypes rn are a minor DPS boost unless you grind enough cores to make augments a pillar of your build which won't be for a long time
I don’t like bittersweet
wicked
I would use the Equalizer Chest. And the bluescreen lmg is amazing with that set
The difference here is, I would still at minimum be getting 21% weapon damage by reaching 30
Alright. Thank you!
True
Just gonna have to grind it out in that event, been through it so I know the struggle😭
Prototype plus 20% free damage all the time would sky rocket my heal builds, and I have like 4 lexingtons so Im good
which overdogs would fit better for crit builds?
Yea Big Al lmg is good too. I just dont like sitting in cover that much lol
I will add it's much much easier if you have people feeding you junk
I’ll probably do my version with the skill repair talent
one on the right takes les to upgrade... i think
Depending on your build it won't boost damage that much tbh😭 capacitor is the only serious dps gun for skill builds imo
The new build actually felt pretty decent
The new gear set core strength I mean been messing with that
i havent actually used it yet, i saw a build today and am working on building it a bit. looks really strong and pretty fun as long as i can manage to hit headshots on controller lol
It's nice if you're running yellow or blue for sure
idk how you get like any dmg on Core Strength. or decent survivability. i dont have all the stuff in my head so just at face value and with my first initial build it was buns
Plus I just have extremely biased hate towards capacitor
Funny tidbit as well a prototyped kard gives 2 skill tiers which opens up new avenues for skill builds
12 skill tier
What why😭
Unbelievably petty reason
I don’t like how small it is (i get extremely nitpicky to obsessive levels)
OCD
ITS A BULLPUP😭
Of course it's small😭
0.o
just have CHC at cap
hey guys, just got my first pair of overdogs! (after like 3 days of grinding) but i got kinda unlucky with the rolls because the minor attributes were maxed out but my damage attribute was like 7.6 😭 im working on leveling it up but im a tad bit confused as to exactly how it works, would anyone be willing to explain to me what it does in simple terms?
my current shd is like 2%, so imma dump everything to chc then chd
2%?
grind hyenas retalitation for the bp, then reconfigure it
yeah, 2% chc rn. Not surprised since i'm lvl 73 rn D:
No I actually like bullpups, I hate specifically this one
Like the capacitor one is at the bottom of the list
the acog is definitely a choice on a gun like that
Amped damage to the lowest ranking enemy archetypes active in the field
ohhhhhhh
basically the best gloves for dps user.
it increased my damage from 900k to 1.5m after I got that overdogs gloves
Based off archetype, not veterancy so colour doesn't matter
There's a table somewhere I'll try to find it
where do i get the capacitor ? just do countdown or ?
It comes exclusively from summit until you get your first, or you can grind the blueprint in retaliation
I know its obvious but its hilarious seeing people put ninja bike onto core strength, like that is not the exotic you should be using
is in pins
Unfortunately they made the bag utterly useless
oh okey thank you
I like the core strength back ngl
the core strength backpack talent literally says "this does nothing"
Triple core
Ah yes here @mortal jay
NBB wins solely because its backpack talent does something
You are wasting an exotic slot
NinjaBike is somehow completely unironically better in every way than the core strength bag
what 2ndary do you use?
Stops you from using investor but it is quite hilarious
Let me post why Im bringing this up one sec
i guess the Core back is... Ninjabike but without the benefit of buffing other brands?
non exotic ninjabike
lexington is strong. i dont think it really matters unless you can find something that plays into the statuses or whatever
where did u get that gloves from-
well if you're using core strength, you're already committed to the hybrid lifestyle, so why not go all in at that point
though just please use Memento if you're going to do that
Not his build but whoever made it prototyped their own murakami gloves
Can't lie seeing that makes me cry inside along with the thunder strike fal but it's okay
Oh, wait so should I use ninja backpack or Memento for better damage/armor?
i think it really depends if youre solo or not
ngl this looks sick for hybrid build, I might grind for one soon-
anything to survive in Tidal
🤷♂️
from what I've seen core strength is chopped in PVE but absolutely broken in PVP
It would be yeah with that much armour combined with weapon damage and skill efficiency
this thing unironically no diffed my merciless
merciless sucks so it's not exactly the highest bar to clear
aces and eights seems to be a really nice build for rifles
exactly why i like it
so you mean fun.
gamble everything and let it ride
Hey.. It's MID... I can clear a decent amount of DUA Leggo with it
i just want this damn chill out mask bruh
wait so, is this count as the best hybrid build rn? ( scrap the ninja backpack )
one of the three horsemen of bad div 2 advice, large language models
u doing the mini warhounds bounty? i got a lot of those from a friend who had it
holy shit did it just recommend rigger and NBB at the same time 🤢
uh. no. do i have to get it from there? i suppose thatd make sense. guess i should look for someone for that and any other items from there
that's what I asked, I never heard people running rigger with NBB d:
Do you have any best hybrid build so I can grind for it
chill out mask is a seasonal named item, you can only get it from christmas or from the warhounds
i think so? very worth it to get cause that damn mask is flexible
gotcha. alright i shall look at the loot pools and get me a mask, thanks gents
4th countdown in lol
my best hybrid build doesn't exist so
Rigger outright is the worse gearset
ack- what about empress-
Ideally you should only use Rigger a maximum of 1 time, and that is at level 35
Never ask AI for anything ever in a game😭
lowkey lmao AI doesnt know shit about gaming
I regret my decision
Especially in a game with as many nuances as this
AI pulls its info from reddit, and as we all know, reddit is well-known for reliability
oh sorry wait, reddit is full of people who will god defend ass builds and hurl insults at people who say things like "but nbb is a bad choice for pve"
wait, so what kind of gears in this build then?
at this point, I might run Foundry Bulwark
I mean it works lol
best secondary gun talent to use for tinkerer hotshot build?
Do people actually want/need a support build and should I make one
Sure. It's always welcome
It's also a nice change of pace for yourself if you usually play DPS (or the same build of anything in general)
Ok thanks 😊
Opinions on the new interchanged named submachine gun? I tried it out and i lowkey really like it
Overdogs is better than Tinkerer hotshot. 2nd MMR should be something that can deal with not have deteremine or HH stacks.
That talent seems pretty good on a secondary
I haven't tried the perfect version yet
it is?
The most common support builds are Refactor, Ongoing Directive, Future Initiative, and Eclipse Protocol.
I suppose Ongoing Directive is mostly DPS but you still support your team with hollow point rounds either way.
Yup
I always recommend a "Red FI" setup if you want something a little weirder.
Future Inititive, but red-ish. There's a guide for it in the spreadsheet.
I suppose all hybrid builds are just weird?
Also called the "harmacist".
do you have an example build
Closest thing to hybrid build that I got is Striker hazpro.
Search for "HotDog" in here
why use 2 mmrs lol
Weapons are whatever
Yeah it's preference. Can also run an 1886
Any MMR works as long as you're hitting the breakpoints you need
so why is hotdogs better than tinkerers hotshot
Cuz -dogs
what
I waited a bit to let you think about it. Got it?
its overdogs its only a 30% dmg buff
how does tht differ
It's not additive in the damage calculation
(use smaller words)
It's a unique multiplier, not additive to any other buff
(talent give big number)
so how much more dmg is it
x30%
I can't give you an exact number in comparison to what you did there with Tinkerer
Depends what talent you're using on your second gun
But you can be sure that Overdogs' damage is higher
how many times does it get multiplied
?
its x30% does it get multiplied once?
Yes
Think of it like this.
Which is higher: 5+10, or 5x10?
Nah you're all good, it took me way too long to fully process what it meant too.
You're going way faster than I did.
so i would still shoot the red or lower enemy first?
overdogs doesn't care about enemy veterancy (red, purple, yellow), just the archetypes
can someone teach me how to build refractor?
refractor does not exist in the game
It's right next to Arialdi.
Hasburg
3 different ways i only need 1 way
you pick one
for a regular striker AR build better to go mag size or armor for modifier?
Completely up to you
its gonna be a struggle to remember the enemy tiers
I use headshot damage in escalation and countdown but handling everywhere else
you don't really have to adhere to the effect that much
you only really need to know the tier 3 enemies in my experience
whats the difference between those 3 and this?
which says any other enemy or skill proxy lol do i shoot the enemies in tier 1 or 3 lol
this one will let you heal and nothing else
the others will let you do damage and heal
you could also just use impetus chest, force multiplier bag, and 4 pc refactor, all skill damage rolled. refactor is a pretty hard build to mess up tbh
i do some research
using chest and bag talents nets you more damage on your skills
and then drone should just never let anyone die right?
yeah im not held up on reload speed and im running headshot rn with elmos but maybe i just dump mag size, back to experimenting
your heals are based on skills damaging. better damage, better heals
Whats a good talent, universal talent to put on the lexington before I prototype it?
yeah ill give that a shot, you say roll skill damage? do i put haste in there anywhere?
Measured is great
you wont need i dont think, which is why the other suggested builds had crit rolled. with such long lasting skille you can just decon one early if needed to offset downtime and always have a skill active
i cant find impetus in the spreadsheet, what is it?
oh so no exotic?
nope]
Exotics are very limited for skill builds
Investor does look quite good if you get a decent roll though
which mmr would you recommend? ive been using the sr-1 and can one tap a yellows armor and half the hp
white death, mantis, shroud
ah well mantis and shroud cant use determined
you can also use glass chest. if you are tier 6 from the gear like this one is, you can use any spec... i personally like tech support for the faraday field perk that can keep you or turret from being disrupted
the hotdogs build uses determined
only if youre a lame
determined is the "i can't aim" talent
determined gets old real quick
it does nothing except as a massive crutch for your aim
i mainly use it for fast farming lol
solo its fine
what is this glass chest?
try mantis. decoy gives more leeway to screw up
i like mantis over all else tho. qol with the decoy and its hard hitting too
sacrifice named chest, or wyvern chest with glass cannon
i do like mantis
that is more optimal than impetus?
so i wouldnt be using determined with this build then
i mean you can, nobody is stopping you
you won't be able to train your aim though
my aim is fine lol
also people will call you a pleb
but i assume that's not a problem
thts their prob lmao
and troll you with mortars
no more mortars

how would they troll with mortars
shake your screen like hell
who would
ig no one if you are solo
i dont game with randoms lol
i farm with friends
plus i alrdy have a hot dogs build with shroud hence why i am doing determined with it
292k turret damage with wyvern glass
295k turret damage with sacrifice (perfect glass)
331k turret damage with impetus
glass doesnt lose stacks tho, always on and extra incoming damage. i would say they are on par with eachother since there is tradeoff
yeah i like this impetus force multi, im going to try to farm this
refactor ?
But also PGC improves your WD DPS but a lot too.
Which if you're not shooting then your missing out on even more Skill DMG.
also for these, are the only way to get these by just getting bps out of the 698 bps and hopes it drops?
so i did saturate utility-cascade and convert 2 offense (magazine) taht gave me 43 magazine size and 21.5 armor. anyone has a higher number? probably there must be
For st elmos, gunner is essential(even though i struggle with quests and hope for a replacement) is the stiker parts essential or can i make a temporary build that has a similar effect that isnt striker, and if so, what is the next best thing?
And can i use demo if i cant use gunner, thanks to whover answers me
you can go all in on any offense stat with (in order)
Saturate (Defense) Invert (Offense) Convert 1/2 (Offense)
alternatively, you can have a higher offense stat w/ reasonable defense and utility stacks, but you can only use weapon handling
Compress (Offense) Split (Offense) Nullify
essential???
You don't need to do a quest to put level up Gunner. Unless something changed over the last year that I just missed
Is the new gear set worth using, or should I stick with my beloved Tipping Scales?
so if i do your first one with utility i get 45 magazine and 10 percent armor
45-10 vs 43-21
headshot and skill builds are real benefiters here
EB great again?
I'd rather pick handling for EB
EB handling is kinda ass
im so lost on the modifiers atm
is there a way to see if enemies are within distance of black pulse?
also going for HSD makes every weapon bighorn
I feel that
EB now feels usuable for the next 12 weeks
IDK how much HSD you can gain with the modifiers but handling wise for sure
135%
Saturate (Defense/Utility) Invert (Offense) Convert 1 (Offense)
I was talking about the unlock quests, to activate it in the first place
Is Discord shitting itself again? Took like 30 seconds to load this image lol
Lol
It's the slow chat they increased here.
I have 223% HSD with PVGC Striker and 45 offense stacks focusing on HSD
What are the best modifiers I can use for a Tempest build?
Or atleast all run n gun builds
2 millones armor
200 k dmg
6 skill tier
Omg this is sooo op
the 6th time I've seen 2 mill armor build post today..
Why do people think this is special.... This is all CS can do but in the end doesn't nothing well.
I hate this gear set
On Reddit much more frequent
I hate how many people post the same thing like it's new. Then again it's why I call it great clickbait gearset.
You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
💥
Seen on YT I bet
if this is PVP then there is an argument to be made
if this is PVE then it's garbage
Maybe 2x armor core for PvP
Never very very bad idea
what build will work for master solo play on mission manager?
blue striker memento
Semi blue?
recalibrate to blue cores
Striker Memento.
Any amount of blue cores you think is good.
ah blue cores so make striker pure blue for all? and what about mods protection from elite?
if you are skillfull enough, perfect glass cannon striker 🔥
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YHiuD78XX4&t=3s
ill pass on being perfect ill stick with equalizer lol
what is that 2ndary he is using is that a famas?
Do what feel right..
the build is only a 1/3 of what you need to bring to solo stuff above heroics.
if i wanted to have fun with the eagle bearer with modifiers for heroic just run either a strikers bighorn or heartbreaker works?
well i can do heroic easily enough its just this master mission is like difficult to say the least only want to get access to tinkerer i dont normally do raids so im assuming this is border line similiar in essecene
HENCE I said ABOVE heroic...
i know i was just clarifying why i was asking i'm not really good with this build business as one could probably tell by some of my silly questions
Even the video above the build is just demo of doing something else that isn't "meta"
But showing gameplay and knowledge is covering the build.
I got a white death with max marksman rifle dmg and hsd, and then with a 7.5% chc, what should i replace it with? Max chc or something else?
he is using 4 weapons though which is a bit much for me personally
Just find a group for it.
i'd do acc so you can get your shots up faster after moving or rotating as chc and chd isn't really worth it as your doing head shot damage not crits unless you have some weird hybrid
i put a couple messages in and tried doin a group find for a while now so just started trying mashing builds up as of now instead sense haven't had any success
Go the community server and LFG there you'll get better luck.
Weapons are aways DTTooC.
What builds are y'all looking for when it comes to these BT retals? I want to make sure I'm on point for group dynamics.
3 blue/2 red memento striker is good enough tbh
I go EP Foam while applying Opp, the rest of the team goes DPS or OD
I have a set like that, guess whomever I joined up on wasn't feeling it.
I still need to go solo a BT retal to see it.
I want to get the AC perfectly wicked BP for my OD but it's refusing to drop with good rolled stats
AC?
Anarchist's Cookbook
Anything to change?
Ceska Wicked is gonna be a much better value.
@eager cosmos sorry for the @ but here’s my heartbreaker setup
Sometimes I switch the ceska mask for groupo mask for little bit more crit damage
dont sacrifice CHC for CHD if ceska is keeping it within range
I think I do have over 52% crit chance with both mask
what are the specific crit stats for both variations?
Still got 60% crit chance with 105 crit damage with groupo
do i need to go to brooklyn to find these or where/how do i get them?
cleaners bosses
That’s cleaners go kill them or do the retal there
cleaners are in NY
is it in brooklyn or new york?
cleaners in wony
Ye New York
Doomz if I use groupo mask I get 1% crit damage and if I use ceska I lose that 1% lmao so I’ll stick with ceska from now on
so youre 60/105 with grupo?
is there a chance you are over crit?
Any good pve ravenous build's or is the gun too niche
youre telling my you are at 60/105 with grupo
Love it, I have to use memento tho
Or something cause I dont have those gloves
I know main weapon shotgun builds aren't meta, but has anything majorly changed for them recently or is it still just HF set plus extras?
2min and I’ll send a memento setup
I’m gonna re do the build again to test it
Not farming but remove the mods and putting them back again
i may be off, but i think you might be able to run ceska and shift 2 rolls from chc to chd, and just run at 56chc
This time 55% crit chance with 117.7 crit damage
With groupo
With ceska and a swapped crit chc gear mod to crit damage gear mod
I’m at 58% chance with 116% damage
Pyrena use ceska mask and memento
Heartbreaker chest glove knee holster
Holy random drop batman
Can do. Do you do legendary missions with this set up?
ceska is gonna yield higher dps if those are the actual numbers
Honestly I mainly use striker for those situations
Ceska variant
Id love to see that too!
Want me to send the striker build you mean?
Yeah
Yep it’s the same as this one
im actually surprised youre not using ceska vigilance here
Pyrena use the setup that mrchow send
Since I dont have thr gloves. Coyote or memento?
It works tried it but I like the fast stacking
Or something else
Memento if you want a comfy experience and coyote if in a group and for higher dps
Gonna try HB with the ceska and this striker set out. Thank you
Have a great day
Does Blacklisters work with skills?
Anything that does dmg.
Best build for nemesis?
Do you mean the Nemesis MMR, or to fight the Nemesis enemy within Descent?
mmr
Is Foundry Bulwark with Catharsis good or Memento just slaps
It will work, but only up to Heroic, and you'll take an hour or two to clear a mission
Damn, is there any possible tanky build that can survive in Legendary then?
nope
Welp, I guess that's fair.
someone pull THAT ONE vid up
alright found it
#td2-build-advice message
wow, nvm.
any recommend healer build ?
refactor if you want to do damage while healing, future initiative if you want to heal and buff damage , more team support
Anyone have a good high end Tempest build?
@woeful zodiac It's still valid for now, there's an iKia setup that works great with it.
"tempest techtank".
If you play aggressive try this:
#td2-build-advice message
is the 4th set of striker important?
yes
why do u ask? please dont answer ninjabike...
i would like to use it but then again i realize i cant replace overdog
you lose more with nbb
yea overdog is good for dps
only thing i can think of is replacing equalizer with that turmoil but then i dont have it rip
turmoil cuts your single-target damage in half
if you want to damage multiple enemies at once, you're much better off using Negotiator
i guess its only good on LMG like big al
what is a easy starter build to go for?
no, any fast-firing weapon will work
i wanna use salvo on elmo but then i will lose damage
you can do funny things with nego + overdogs
if you mark a tier 1 enemy and then shoot a tier 3 enemy, the tier 1 enemy will get the 30% amp from overdogs
what should i match it with?
go full striker or no?
the guide i linked tells you everything
oh i didnt notice you linked something ty
can i ask why is CHC better than armor damage on LMG doesnt armor does more damage than CHC and you can still get more chc on gear and mods
chc on lmg means you can invest more into chd on your gear
also there are some enemies that will not benefit from DTA, like chungas, warhounds, minitanks, marauders, as well as every red enemy in existence
armor plates are not armor, armor plates scale with damage to health, not DTA, i don't know why the game treats armor plates like health but it does
yes, the 3rd stat can be anything that isn't what the 2nd stat already is, but chd will be less optimal overall
Hello all. Does anyone have any suggestions for a build that works well solo and in groups?
Thank you.
Anything but Striker 🙏🏼
That wouldn't be a HE build, as requested.
Does anyone happen to have a current skill build please. Around revive hive and drone ? Seemed to have lost mine to the void. Thank you in advance
how do i get the blueprint to craft the wyvern brand set?
what's the current heartbreaker setup? blue one preferably. in the doc there's a red version
Which drone?
RNG from completing missions and CPs
Use the on in doc just go 4b and 2r.
You can swap in memento with the same idea.
just striker
Wait what are you doing with Rez hive and Striker drone?
tbh i have no idea never really used a skills build, saw a template for skills build but was 4 years old that used rez hive and the striker drone, hence why i was looking for help in the build department
it's kinda outdated there, is it still coyote over overdogs?
Hence what I just said.... You can do overdogs too.
Why would use a skiil build and have a dead slot with Rez hive?
if i want a " run and gun " build that does good damage right away ( like no need to stack for 40s before doing damage ) what do you recommend , was thinking going on a lmg ongoing directive build
Coyote/Memento/Overdogs are all great exotics to recommend. Depends on which you get first is what you should use. After that, if you get all of those mentioned exotics, it's up to you to find which you like best
That would be perfect to use
i dont remember the build tho i just know its ongoing directive + blue screen usually , but i dont remember on top of my head the other gear item xd
No build needs to stack up for 40s.....
i mean like striker with coyote going up to 200 stack take a lil bit
and you cant uptime it 100% always loosing stack in perma
You dont take Striker Chest for non raid/Incursion
Man I really need to finish my Tinkerer OD
You don't need all stacks to do good dmg. As shown above.
yeah i know the overdogs/equalizer dont need much stack for damage , but dont have overdogs yet for that variant
did over 50+ kill squad hyenas in heroic , no overdogs yet xd
You don't need overdogs.
The other build is OD.
i'm playing both solo and group tho, mostly in group because content are group usually so i'm thinking going for od overdogs/backpack if i can get those
thinking of tinkerer tho with a gr9 frenzy with subweapon killer
@hexed steppe Mortar supremacy
Returning player here. Used to only be 1 healer support build. Now there’s so many. What is best support build to go for
depends on the situation.
Support as in what? Damage or Heal?
healer or CC or DPS
oh yeah forgot about CC
for Healer/DPS there's Refactor, for DPS support there's OD, for CC there's Eclipse foam
DPS support is just Ongoing Directive or is there a better one?
Ah ok.
Theres also Future Initiative for Heal.
FI > Refactor as well
Plz stop. Showing these. A lot of these aren't good. Yes they work but really aren't good.
Can you at least explain why they arent good?
And what is good according to you?
If you go to the Pinned Messages > Sheet 2 > Build Hub, then look around and you'll find a ton of guides and pics for builds.
Yeah?
you want the list of bad or what they need ?
Yeah why not.
I live by the "Theres always room for improvement" rule.
FI support isn't just healer. Here's this for that.
What else?
I literally just need to switch the backpack and thats it.
I dont use Refactor.
No your weapons are VERY poor choices.
I can do the same with weapons too relax.
need some help, i am running striker build, overdogs gloves and salvo holster.
but my damage feels very low- cant do much above tier 2 escalation-
Salvo holster?
You can't give out another 20%, 15% and 15% AMP buff.
unit alloy salvo holsters
so i be doing it wrong?
Anything else for me?
And funny enough Refactor is gonna do more dmg overall than your build.
My healer build?
No skill build.
I can assure you if you use that picture for your striker build you can do more than t2 escalation
I got to t6 no prototype with just that build
Okay so whats your recommendation for general skill build?
Also completed t6 I should add
For the record, my skill damage build is really, really, old. Back when Refactor doesnt even exist yet.
Anyway yeah Im open to suggestion.
You both weapons on your striker are poor choices too. I mean you can use sheriff as a secondary just fine but nevg LMG isn't great LMG mainly due to it's slow RPM for build striker stacks.
You have NBB with Backire for Ceska. A good striker build with Killer will out dmg that and go faster.
On TS build using TS Chest isn't great for vs using Equalizer chest it the same reason why striker chest is bad.
Then why show it off and suggest others to use it?
Hey Chow, am I allowed to be a NinjaBike goober? Cause i honestly think it could work now with a capacitor all skill tiers core strength build!
One min let me finish this.
Thought its still good even after all these years.
That NBB with Ceska and Cavalier is my Striker Hazpro build.
I forbid you to be a NinjaBike goober
TU22 changed a lot of things.
This is disgusatingly nice amounts of damage, im sensing
(something like that would probably work in PVP btw, but PVE is ehhhhhhh)
😭 BUT CORE STRENGTH MEMES!
Ya I can see getting up to 15mill with that amount.
what does prototype gear do with skill tiers? how are they buffed?
Trying to use Striker Chest on BF is very slow to build up.
if youre going to share builds share what theyre supposed to be and not whatever mid builds you settled for because "Theres always room for improvement"
Best i got is M249 and I cant seem to find godrolled GR9
Anyway gotta go. I'll be back later.
Again the point here showing off builds to try to help players when your buids aren't very good
When we have guides out you can point to and you've seen.
With some of this CS stuff I guesss. Since it's actualy better than CS BP.
I just don't care much for CS for PvE.
How dare you not ping me? I share the mortar throne with Local! (joke)
Penguin and the old guy share 2 sides to the mortar.
13.7 mil with Capacitor and max module stacks
If I am reading the talents correctly. Chameleon if you just hit headshots basically is just like having a better vector with a better killer talent?
u could technically get more by ditching brazos and instead running skill DMG unicorn sacrifice with something else to replace the 2nd brazos.
Penguin was thinking for Escalation to try mortar and resto hive to help with healing and getting guys out of cover. What are your thought?
kinda but it can be annoying to proc sometimes
Body proc is a lot more. It's actually very strong.
also that
So if you just do body shots it’s more damage?
Thing of not having all reds build then having all reds. (not really but close)
you'd have fucl-all heals
Very true but better than nothing
NBS posted his black tusk retaliation build. It’s salvo HB tech tank style with chameleon. I’m assuming he’s making up the lack of damage with the talent
you know all of this made me realize a big part of Escalation strats apparently involves forcing the enemies out of cover, that's usually not something that would be considered "extremely important" in Legendary
need a skill to cover my ass when turret is in cooldown
My core strength NinjaBike PvE build.@subtle bluff Imagine that the kneepads are actually core strength. Ive barely farmed the gear set so ive just got this going so far.
because enemies on leggo already try to rush you all the time
Idk trying to think outside of the box for support since the standard isn't has effectives
Ya.... I was thinking about that too as another issue.
Only like 1% over cap or something, and ofc i would have like 12% more if knees were right
I'm not one to run builds that cater to different purposes either
My weird HW was doing some good work for T7
I don't mess nor again tbh care about CS builds.
I know but if you did theoretically....
tried that. the lack of a skill tier really hurts. just 9 charges per deployment. also it has higher base damage but lower max buffed damage
I've seen enough CS build and saying they have 2mill armor "OMG IT'S SO STRONG" clickbait
yeah was gonna say the utility value lost from the skill tier sucks
hahahaha
Only thing I'm gonna do is remake my mortar buid for conflict...
until you ask them "armor for what?"
But correct me if im wrong but ill legit get more weapon damage out of this build by running skill tiers?? lmfao
only for the capacitor, due to its talent
ye thats like.... the entire idea with the build
Cant ninjabike rival running memento for core strength because of this setup with capacitor??
I get 30% weapon damage extra cause ninjabike, about how much i get without memento pickup buff but with max stacks that last 5 mins
the real reason im even running ninjabike is cause hollow man mask and itqs health damage. New amplifier for capacitor so its chefs kiss
Okay so only thing I’m confused about is. How he is getting this high of damage on headshots lol. From what I can tell the talent isn’t active on the gun right? Diamonds should be orange? And he doesn’t have headshot modifier on. And heartbreaker salvo tech tank lacks in crit damage vs without salvo.
He got the memento token pickup buff also? idk
Yes that also but it brings it that high?
idk how many red cores he is running so couldnt tell ya
He has I think like 3 red cores
hmmm.... idk mangz
And his mods are PFE lol
dafuk? lol
Seasonal modifiers, most likely.
Saturate (Defense/Utility) Swap (Offense) Convert 1 (Offense) in order gives you like 120%+ HSD
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Basically turns every weapon into Bighorn where it rewards you massively for headshots
He’s using defense modifier
weapon handling?
Yep
the hexagons are gray when the buffs are active, that should be why
OH okay then I am confused that’s why
That’s actually pretty insane chameleon hits like that. Because the HB set he’s using lacks a little bit crit damage vs normal HB with ceska
😵💫
oh boy its NBS
Yeah lol I didn’t know chameleon did damage like that
Everyone rags on the gun usually lol
it's not bad, but it's also kinda situational
So the talent also says. Refreshes when out of combat. I’m assuming that means the 45s timer restarts when combat is over? Giving you time to have the buff for next fight
The timer restarts and remains paused until combat starts again, but if you swap weapons you lose the buffs
Oh okay that’s actually kind of cool
not really, it means I can't pull out my Quickstep or I lose the buffs
That is true lol
Cham is top 10 for overall burst DPS
top 3 something for AR
is this build good beside low percent crit hit chance?
but it definitely doesn't have AR level handling
Good to know! Because for tech tank builds since you are usually close most the time. I feel chameleon is a good weapon of choice
the issues is if the fight goes longer than 45s your kind of boned afterwards
No, they only count after the buffs expire
Ah okay
also im kinda confused, since you're already in the enemy's face, headshots are really easy to pull off, so why not dump all of the stacks towards HSD and kill enemies faster
sorry if I worded it badly, that wasn't directed towards you, just wasn't sure how to convey this point
when the gloves optimized, crit chance will go up
I was also thinking that myself. I might actually try doing that instead of his modifiers. I’m assuming he wants the total armor for survivability
But if you kill them fast you don’t have to worry lol

I’ve been enjoying the mag size buff lol Elmo’s with like 107 bullets
Again the point here showing off builds to try to help players when your buiLds aren't very good or you say are out dated, vs just pointing to the guides.
Whats the current best healer build ?
@flint hearth
FI (Future initiative)
I see. I guess I was just overproud of what I've achieved.
Thank you
Oh yeah right I forgot that I used Negev because the talent is Strained. With Negev, I have more uptime at max stack strained when firing. I can hit up to 1M per shot with it for like almost 100 rounds for max stack Strained.
My clip I posted way up there shows doing better than and quicker than that.
what are the weapon and talent?
I just made quick showcase with no watch and not optimize gear and showing just base builds with some stuff what it can do.
It's all in the clip. It's show it in the start.
This?
this
What was the alternative backpack used for a BTSU FI healer, if the Setup isn't available?
anything with the opp talent
read the title of the post
The guide there explain well too.
Opportunistic?
yeh
So for the Future Initiative build its not just "Healer" build but rather actual "Healer Support" build because you make your enemies take more damage.
interesting
Lets see if I can change the talent for my Alps Summit backpack to Opportunistic
Yay I can.
i can see why some say is cheesy. I'm having so much fun 💀 💀
.
Yes it’s fine.
thanks a lot
Funnily enough I dont have Opportunistic in my library for my Future Initiative build but I suppose that can wait. Just need to work on something with what I currently have.
these groups that are running 300 retals, how are they managing their inven through it, is there a trick?
know what exactly you're looking for or what to expect. memorize what such an item would look like in the inventory. glance at every item you pick up, immediately trash everything that isn't what you need
it just becomes second nature at some point
so you guys are looking at the items on the ground before you even pick it up?
What augement you guys think is best for a lexinghton
Ive got amalgam on it right now but do you think theres a better one
Farming your library is rather good to do so you can build anything else you want easier.
At some point I became lazy yeah
Mostly my inventory sit around 136-141…. Too many loudouts.
yes
What does the 300 mean?
the back to back 3x retals
300 for 3x…. Got it..
God new players with these more complicated way of saying stuff…
i copy gen chat
Why would any say Olympus Glove…..
i cant do that yet i dont think i still need to fill out my lib
mark everything as junk and open the tinkering station after finishing each control point
oh wait it's the library, welp in which case sucks to be you i guess because the devs decided to put a long-ass animation just to save a stat to the library
i thought id have my lib maxed by now but im not even close
Echo or amalgam on lexighton guys?
amalgam?
oh... pretty sure it's echo
welcome to the dumb prototyping.
istg they said it costed 1
or am i hearing things
Nope two to reroll the augment
the expertise 30 requirement is stupid as well
Kinda ass
Yep would only makes sense if it was easier to get the prototypes
Either increase the drop rate or let us optimise the stats
^ facts
buzzing just hit expertise 5 time for tier 10 escalation
also got black tusk tactical assessment blueprint before as well so lucky
the cost actually increases per reroll
the fire eclipse without overdogs is a miss. dogs>vile
edit * if this is cc eclipse, should have either creeping death or opportunistic
ninja striker backfire is a miss, you dont need hazpro when you gain immunity by maintaining stack level or after a few short bleeds.
What no way no point rerolling then
the way forward eh . i need to look up all the possible options with prototypes
How’s the core strength build. Seeing a lot of click bait vids on YT. Is it all armour and no damage? 😂
hi is this good for solo legendary
holy shit
u got a million armor pieces
I've heard that it's busted in PVP but bad in PVE
Bonus armor cap
Massive bullet sponge enemies is what the community has been demanding we get more of for yours right?
Pretty much... But they're heroic Ai.
Reminds me of gear 1.0 when your armor bar always looked like a barcode
No idea. Before my time.
i'm more of a vet than mr chow? impossible
back then i remember being extremely unnerved by how the armor bars looked a lot thicker right after gear 2.0 came out
Funny enough I've been seeing more LFG calling out for high SHD or builds when grouping at higher teirs have a hard requriment ok build wise.
armor bars for DPS users in gear 1.0 looked like the 6 blue cores of today
@flint arch btw raucey liked your doc too.
impossible
Armor builds were product bar code back then.
He lurks around.
This new seasonal modifier gave me a devious idea that'll probably wont work too well because of ammo issues..
it was truly a moment of all time
This 442 round mag GR9 is gonna be super ammo ineffecient with Frenzy but I love it.
expending the first 442 mag first before frenzy even happens
, but i see the vision
You can get up to 505 with mag size, Gunner Pouch and Tipping Scales
505? You sure?
Tried it myself out of curiosity. This is assuming you have +45% mag size from the modifier
Dont you want a decent but smallish mag to benefit from frenzy often
with a GR9 you want to not have any mag size increase at all. if you use it with striker, frenzy will run out the moment your mag is empty, allowing you to chain frenzy over and over
I thought the convo was about tipping scales
Also does gunner pouch not count?
Misread your message
Ammo inefficiency-maxxing
High mag guns are so fun when a teammate runs “ongoing directive”
Im curious what gear pieces do people recommend for refactor builds? Guns probably capacitor and harmony?
alright furthest i could push magazine size with my available resources
Iirc the build in the guide is
4pc refractor (mask, gloves, holster, knees)
Sacrifice chest (pgc)
Skilled wyvern ware backpack
Could also drop the sacrifice for refractor chest and have more healing and use waveform or smn
Ive tried waveform it’s really good yeah
how much ammo you have left when frenzy ends
can i search for only NY bounties somewhere?
So people dont run the refactor backpack? I find it helps you get away with low armor
i only got frenzy on Huntsman, but i can say... not enough
wait yeah you dont even have enough ammo to get a full mag after emptying that

truly cursed
So with my 440 ish rounds Im basically nearly empty after Frenzy is over..
Iirc back is only for yourself. Keep in mind the build guides are not set in stone, just guides. Refractor is more of a teamplay build to me so skilled giving skills more damage means more healing for everyone
question is will there be an encounter that would need all 440 frenzied bullets
t10 grand washington hotel door
Im quite new so i dont think i know what bag you are talking about, could be why i am surprised
huh
shoot the door with turmoil kneepads, everyone else dies because of the cursed door
Is this “skilled” a talent i should look out for? I probably have it in my library. I know what wyvern wear is
for support builds, is coyote's mask or the beacon better?
guys do you know how can i reach 50 stacks in the recombinant? highest i saw was 46, yet journey requires 50, anyone got the combination?
Saturate (Donor of your choice), Invert (What you want as highest), Consume (What you want as highest)
In that order
don't forget to level up the active modifiers as well, each one gives 4 more at max
^
oh yeah, thank you very much
they really should made sets for them, so we can switch between
I’m tempted to using the new gear set but idk like I wanna have dps/tech or dps/healing or smth
what exactly does weapon handling do?
Boosts stability, accuracy and reload speed
swap speed too
What would be a good trio of passive modifiers for a all red dps build?
Keep forgetting that exists
Anyone have success with the new set, ive been experimenting and not sure how i feel
I seen yt builds about core strength but I don’t trust it I rather trust the people in here tbh
