Blue Cores when you have a shield can help you be braver, but sans shield and you've just got the issue of them lowering your DPS without increasing your bullet taking.
Get more shd watch lvles haha?
but build wise is their better builds I could be using for pve ?
could be an issue with your crit stats, but as for the basics it's as good as its gonna get aside from some minor things
standard striker is very standard for a reason
50 chc I got non existent crit damage I thing 80
you might want to tinker with the crit stats on your gear/mods
That'll be it on both parts.
Try and raise your CHC up to 60 without going over, and pour the rest into CHD (should break 100)
what’s best for farming shd levels still public exec?
Are you taking full advantage of overdogs talent gimmick for the damage boost also? That's a good chunk right there
It's honestly shocking just how effective that Equaliser/Overdogs combo is when it comes to damage, I'm not even using it on a Strikers build and I can feel my DPS being a warcrime.
yea I try to focus the tiers for most part
The crit stats really will do a lot for you, definitely try to get it as close as possible.
Yea I think my chd is lacking a lot because my watch has no upgrade on chc so my mods go to that
chc is usually recommended as your first priority for your watch
I went all damage couldn’t tell u why
I like to reverse the % for CHC, in order to show how vital it is to get it close to the cap.
well now's your cue to invest into CHC
So at absolute max, you have a 40% chance per bullet to not crit, at 50% that's half of your shots not critting.
Solution is to shoot twice as many bullets then. 50% x2 = 100% right guys? That's how math works I'm certain 😆
You joke, but there's a reason SMG Strikers are so popular :p
I'm not knocking the build, I'm just making terrible jokes
Then you have ACS-12 Strikers which are just a cancerous tumor to every NPC in this game.
A stage 5 tumor at that.
"What's that? You're a named enemy? Haha, Tinkerer ACS brazen goes boof, boof, boof."
dw I was too lol.
I have a lot of contempt for that crazy combo.
whats a good build for hunter sheriff?
You might be able to use it with a sniper build, unironically.
Hunter's Fury w/ Chainkiller + Vigilance would probably slam hard.
what is this chain killer?
Chest piece skill attribute
is that CHC intended
God no, lmao
lmao
i prefer the shield sherif build
I mean, that doesn't prevent you from using a shield...
even with vigilance?
ohh what chest should i get with that talent chain killer and on backpack aswell
you only lose vigilance if you get hit and it
- directly reduces your armor/health
- is not a status effect
chainkiller comes with perfect headhunter
Well, Chainkiller is the named item that has perfect headhunter on it.
dammit i left my game in chinese i need to check the spreadsheet for the brand
walker, harris & co.
You don't need The Gift for perfect Vigilance because the damage bonus is the same. The only difference is that The Gift reduces the cooldown on hit by 1 second which is nothing.
Well, if you're going to use a Chainkiller for a shotgun build, it's fine to have CHC/CHD.
Yeah, that one is fine. Perfect even.
badger tuff backpack with vigilance,
🦄
^
how much CHC do i need to get?
As much as you can get honestly. Just reroll the explosive resist to CHD.
which brand is this?
The Gift is from Providence Defense. You can get that or Badger Tuff. PD gives + 13% Headshot DMG as it's first brand set bonus. BT gives +10% Shotgun DMG as its first brand set bonus.
But you don't need the actual named item "The Gift" a normal Providence Defense backpack is fine.
You can't really lose with either since you're gonna be going for headshots for the most part.
But I think BT bonus scales better.
iirc adding more SWD is better than HSD with HH
Also, because of how the Shotgun class has an advantage over other weapon classes in how crit is determined, you can generally settle for 50-55% CHC, so you don't really need to cap it at 60% at all.
just needed sherif for easy spamming priority so i can hit 1k shade level

lmao
i wonder if this means chow will explode
why is it me exploding your first go to?
He's never seen a manhunt I think
i know what the icon means
can someone help me decide on an lmg for tipping scales? i am torn between these lmg's because its such a minor difference between them so i got blue screen, m60 classic, stoner, gr9, gear shift and military m60
I'd take the GR9. What talent?
As a sidenote, LMGs should have critical hit chance as 3rd attribute
And with TS you should def. make sure to reach 60% CHC, even if you overcap by a little bit
if i went with gr9 idk what talent to pick with that one because i feel like measured is the go to option but with its 300 round clip removes frenzy and 800 rpm it feels like more shots miss then hit might just be my aim
Switch the mag attribute to reload speed instead of additional mag size
M60's are good to build up stacks with TS in a solid way without wasting much ammo
But slow firing LMGs are meh IMO
Tried the Gear Shift and I liked it quite a bit. Also the Iron Lung was very nice.
If you use Gear Shift you make sure to squeeze each mag to the last bullet and hit NPCs. Otherwise you get the full punishment from the first half of the magazine but not the full benefit of the second half of it
I think I'd rather take a HE LMG with regular Measured on it
maybe even frenzy
Am i doing decent if im dealing 1 mil average crits using st elmo
What's your build?
right now we have a large booster from the ambush event, so keep that in mind
Frenzy on GR9 is chef's kiss, but a bit hard with TS
Harrier, Striker with equalizer
Any blue cores aside from Harrier?
45 crit chance and 60+ crit damage
None aside from harrier all are red
Oh you gotta work on that
Dang and here i thought i was doing well
Idk if the crit value you mentioned is from when you have the Harrier buff or not, but I think it should be a bit more. For now it's OK but make sure to farm for better pieces/optimize what you have
Bit of general info about crits
What should the value standard be
A'ight keep replacing the items you have then via farming
You will get higher rolled items the higher your world difficulty it
I was thinking of using ninja backpack and replacing 1 of the items with something that gives better passive or stat
oh no...
Replacing 1 of the striker pc i mean
I can understand that, but let me tell you an open secret: NBB is not a good choice in PvE
Im doing heroic difficulty rn
LMAO as soon as the word "NBB" appears in chat, you're present 😂
It's like magic
I just turned my phone on 😭
You can keep running the Harrier backpack for now if you like it, gives some damage reduction and additional damage
Like wdym my damage jumped from 1 mil to 40 mil
oh oh oh, its magic!
Oh that's perfect. Just keep farming then
BTW do you have a set build you are wanting to farm for?
Rn im farming for airaldi and overdogs gloves to finish my free roam set
For a sniper build?
Yeah
why do we want skill damage/skill haste on The Setup?
Aye. This here is pretty much the best general DPS build:
https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/14enYng-1WNGx07vmvEHEHtlvtWfjH5ZNSAlUElXzFBs/edit
I probably wont be able to do as well using other builds at least for now
For a sniper build check this:
#td2-build-advice message
Being able to 1 tap bosses is satisfying af
We don't
Yeah that's what im trying to copy but rngesus hates me
Nah, he hates everyone equally <insert Riven's Lootcifer joke here>
this is from the pinned :
Oh yeah f u to the person who suggested using any m870 variants to sniper build
out of all comparisons i felt classic m60 needed rate of fire and measured talent felt best for the options it meshed well with blue screen as both m60 classic and blue screen are missing a crit hit chance roll so i swapped 1 crit damage mod on my gear for another 6% making it 58% chc total for both as m60 i did stability instead of chc but that drops chd down by 10ish %. Military felt like less damage than m60 classic and blue screen but was more smooth and stable plus it has 2 crit hit mods on armor instead of 1 like previous set as it has an extra mod slot compared to m60 classic, gearshift stastically looks to be best with perfect measured but idk if it was the rpm or handling but i had a somewhat hard time with it; might be a playstyle issue or being used to longer time without reload. gr9 felt amazing but with its huge mag all the talents seemed rather ineffective it has high rpm so measured is pretty pointless i think unless i missed some understanding there, frenzy with huge mag made frenzy very weak as the more missing rounds you have the better it is which it lasts 10 seconds but i reload maybe twice an encounter meanwhile ranger is useful at range but the majority of the time its close to mid usually on some defesne outpost it works but others its all close making it a 50 - 50 option. thats just my opinion if theres some thing i missed or you feel different about im all ears to give it a shot. just trying to find what i like most
2k damage per pellet is crazy work
Headhunter's Fury?
Nah, it deals crappy damage
Is Umbras Initiative a good DPS set for LMGs?
Not in PvE. It's counter-intuitive
TS, OD, Nego and Strikers*
wait wtf did i just type
Strikers and Strikers. Could make a good law firm
I used hotshot, with fully stacked memento and chainkiller
But even if it wasnt a compatible build, dealing 2k damage per pellet is crazy work ToT
Is this true also in coordinated play like Countdown?
I would not run Memento in that build but regardless, the damage should have been much higher, if you had HH fully stacked
I feel like the m870 is bugged
perfect measured on the mk48, is it worth it or nah
Switched to thorn and dealt significantly damage by like 300k+ per pellet
Yeah. Let me explain:
An LMG has like 150-300 rounds in a magazine box. You want to fire a lot with it, right? That means, you will need cover because if you don't have cover, you will not make it very long.
Now, take Umbra. Umbra gives you a buff that charges while you are cover. But while you are in cover, do don't get the buff. You only get the buff when the stacks are fully charged and you are out of cover. Do you see what I mean?
Do people run dare or kingbreaker for the perfect flatline for heartbreaker?
Nah I don't think so. But I have no numbers to prove
Wait, that just seems like bad design doesn't it?
iirc perfect measured is like ~15% increase?someone did the math on the apartment
Christ, every PO I've gotten for an exo today has been PvP the fk is this cursed RNG.
Yup, it's a bad mixture. You can use an AR or an SMG for Umbra. In PvP you can even use an LMG but only because there are only a few players shooting at you, not a batallion of lazer aim NPCs
Oh bad design you mean how the set works? The set mechanic is fine
It's just that you intend to use it wrong
IDK maybe someone planned it for Refactor?
At most you want skill damage and status effects for most CC builds
But usually status effects and skill haste
On another note, I heard from some strangers I grouped with that there's an interesting Heartbreaker with Technician laser pointer build that does very good damage and has survivability without needing to bring the pulse skill. Is this build known and competitive with other weapon damage builds?
Tech tanks in group play are not dealing really much damage. More in solo play but also not much since the focus of it is more survivability
Striker's build with Memento, maybe roll 1-2 cores to blue in the beginning and you're golden
what is currently the best headhunter determined sniper? I see some people saying SR-1 is the best, some say m700, some say white death. which is the one I should be aiming for?
My personal preference is Mantis coupled with the Decoy skill.
Well, it'd be more for the DPS than the tankiness. The interesting part of it to me again is using technician and modding your weapon with the laser pointer so it automatically pulses whoever you aim at, and you do a ton of free damage with heartbreaker.
I wonder though, is that actually good or does it sound gimmicky?
Personal preference
HB isn't really good, no. Try the Striker's variant I suggested
Take me back in time, INF.
Back to the good times.
It was insane when it came out but that's a loooong time ago
Imagine if they just stopped working on the game after that patch.
Is it because of powercreep or whatever? Iirc Strikers was in the first The Division so it's been around forever.
Striker's is just very versatile in many ways
^ It's a nice set now because it can be used in many ways.
I've got some Strikers gear saved, but I don't know yet what pieces I should use to complete it after getting the 4 piece bonus. I'm guessing chest and backpack are non-negotiable to have as Strikers ones for their talents.
backpack yes
Nah, The backpack is almost always nice to have, Chest not as much.
The rule of thumb is:
Can you maintain over 100 stacks consistently? If so, use chest. If not, use something else.
Equalizer is one that's often picked up in place of the chest.
im still running an old ceska chestpiece cuz i don't have eq
The way I understand it is, you use an auto shotgun to turbo charge your way to max stacks, so it doesn't sound too difficult to get to 100+ whenever you want
Yes, but the only way to build up stacks stupid fast is to either use a very high RPM weapon, or use the ACS-12/SASG-12. And sometimes using either of those isn't an ideal option.
They work for stack building, yes, but if you can't get close enough to use them, it's meaningless.
And if your goal is to deal as much damage as possible, on the higher difficulties this can get tricky, for example, on Legendary.
Building mega-stacks without dying usually means doing one of two things: Stunning NPCs to the point they can't fight back or using a shield to soak DMG while you build your stacks.
It sounds simple enough but you'd be surprised how much easier it is said than done.
ACS12 is a quick of buliding stacks for Striker or HB. But it can and is a trap sometimes.
And scaling in groups can make this easier or worse depending on how you look at it. The more HP the enemy has the more you can build off a single NPC, but it also means each kill still takes longer than solo.
Actually, scratch that, it's still a net-negative cause the NPC is still alive and not dead, which they should be.
YouTubers again have made that too important.
one of the reasons i like OD so much
you are basically at like 80% striker stack as long as you can one mag kill
How're we looking chat
It's weird, because on higher difficulties Strikers performs better via the fact that NPCs are spongier in higher difficulties. So logically you get more value out of the set because of its stack mechanic.
But by that same token, that mechanic is functionally useless aganst NPCs on lower difficulties because you're already melting them so quickly, and hence you're not actually building stacks to any meaningful degree, thus not getting any tangible value out of the set.
Haven't messed around with Diamondback since I got it at all so wanted to try a rifle build
aces and 8s
man i haven’t used that since i hit level 30
Is pestilence a viable gun for heroic and above?
Pestilence is overall a solid gun, but it will really shine with a Tipping Scales build.
Seemed the appropriate choice
I’m using bullet king with breaker but struggle at heroic Brooklyn
I will probably switch this build to Overdogs when I get them but I have not been lucky
Hyena mask , equalizer and 4 breaker gambit
Pestilence was the first exotic I got at level 40 and it carried me for a little bit in my first ventures into harder content, I'm a big fan
Bullet King is a bit of a noob trap. The infinite ammo without reload seems nice at first, but Tipping Scales works around this, and truthfully, you're rarely in situations in this game where reloading would be problematic.
Big golden gun, me likey
Use it if you'd like, I've got nothing against it, but other LMGs outperform it.
It's definitely a fun power fantasy and it's also beautiful which helps
I’m gonna try farm tipping scale with pestilence, what other lmg would you recommend tho?
I put this together today, I like the fire rate and mag size from centurion's scabbard a lot
GR9 Feels so good to shoot, love that thing
I think Frenzy is the top pick for it? I don't remember.
What'a a good talent for regular LMGs on a Tipping Scales build? I imagine Strained makes sense but you already have sm crit damage on that kinda build
There's also Unhinged, but I don't remember if that one is good or not. The Stability and Accuracy reduction is like nothing, but I don't remember how the DMG is calculated.
In my mind I thought exotic would be better than high end
Running Big Al and another LMG
I would imagine Optimist as well would work. Or Fast Hands. Killer probably also works fine on it, averaging activation equal to your CHC in the long run.
Unhinged with Coco works.
That talent reduces accuracy and stability and coco makes up for it
Is it really that noticeable? I didn't notice much difference with Unhinged personally. LMGs are already pretty stable as a weapon class and their accuracy gets better the longer you shoot.
I found it quite significant when I used it, least for long range
Is the decoy good against both pve and pvp?
alroighty then i have further questions gimme a moment
You can easily fool people not paying attention or catching them off-guard.
For NPCs it can be tricky since threat tends to go all over the place at times.
so this is my build, i replaced the crusader sheild with the decoy so im wondering if i should switch off the lefty and if so what?
i can send more screenshots if needed
Well, Mantis plays off the Decoy, so not using it is kind of wasting what makes the Gun better to use.
Lefty is whatever, if you don't take advantage of the talent very often, I would just swap it for a Rifle or another MMR. The Model 700 with Determined is a solid choice. You can really chain some crazy kills with that.
Do you know what countdown is?
or TL (Target Loot)
What Mr.Chow is getting at is that some of your pieces need work.
i would use a rifle but the recoil is annoying to manage lmao
making it easier to farm everything
The Classic M1A hits hard and easy to handle, use that.
i farmed the hotshot stuff via summit which i just got yesterday after switching from aces
@smoky latch finding that belstone backpack with adrenaline rush was a challenge
1886 is also a pseudo MMR, you can slap determined on that and do just as well.
ive not been one looking up guides n stuff ive been winging it this whole time lol, besides looking up hotshot and the decoy
The only thing I would change about your build is grabbing Chainkiller or a chest with Headhunter. And using Airaldi with the Vigilance talent.
there's a quicker way of farming.
the summit took like less than an hour cause i kept dying and getting lucky with the drops lol
Countdown is better. You're leaving with like 40 loot items or more per match, and you can set the target loot just like in Summit.
.....
Each match is like 15 minutes tops.
Unless you prefer the slower pace of Summit, then stick to that. But if you want loot in a hurry, Countdown is the go-to.
I'll leave it with you.
hmmm
I got lucky once and left with like 60 items to sort through.
That's the only thing about CD. Make sure you have plenty of inventory space so you can just grab and go.
Took me a while as well lol
also minor thing, is it possible to get the quickstep pistol rn?
Challenging has the highest matchmaking pool. You can do Heroic, but the loot quality isn't much better and it's slower. Plus the NPCs really are just annoying to kill without a solid red build, which sniper isn't suited for with the kind of fast-paced gameplay CD is. Chaining kills without reds or purples suck and most enemies are Elites.
Yes, but you need someone with the Houndsman bounty to invite you into their session.
shit
i know nobody in the game ive been playing all solo lmao
besides one person that i know i outrank by now
The Houndsman was a season event so you have to find someone that still has the bounty and hasn't done it yet.
I can help if you want it that badly. I just need you to give me 5 minutes to finish a PO real quick.
i can wait but if you really dont mind i can go for it
It's not hard, just gotta kill enemies repeatedly until it drops, shouldn't take more than like two tries, 3 if unlucky.
Alright, what's your IGN?
ign?
in game name.
Ignited grape nicotine
Anyone have solid advice for farming Equalizer or salvo gear pieces?
Countdown (Heroic) focus Unit Alloys
Since they share a brand, you can farm 2-in-1, by TL (targeted loot) farming the brand they share. UA.
Don't bother with Heroic CD though.
Challenging CD is fine, it's basically the same rolls for gear anyway.
Perfectly fine
Heroic CD has a weird scaling thing, it's never worth it unless you can sprint through it with a premade team.
I run random matchmaking and don't have any issues. Even prior to having meta Strikers
or want to DPS check your build.
Testing your build in Heroic CD isn't exactly a good idea either.
as with the buffs it gives you, it skews how it works.
That's fair
I'm gonna go at it solo because I've always had issues running matchmaking on ps5
do summit then
I use Striker's chest in heroic CD 😬
solo CD?
If anything I'll switch back and forth
Retaliation is the solo TL farm, not Summit.
Summit TL farming is slow as all heck, due to a lack of spawn rates.
Drops are okay with 7-9 directives enabled. Otherwise not worth it in terms of farming
@arctic panther Try "matchmaking" for Countdown on Challenging difficulty, you should find a team quickly.
Lmao I' just recently getting back in the game trying to make a solid st. Elmos/striker build
It really is a lot faster.
I'll go for it and see if 5 minutes works lol
Just CP's then retal afterwards
You need CP's for weapon mods and general blueprints anyways.
Trying to get this kinda build just to let me grind easier for other builds
If you use the Striker's backpack instead of NBB then it's a solid build
Hm, I wrote NBB and doomz didn't appear
So no mag cap increase but backpack is better? Idk exactly if the tradeoff is better it lowkey might be
Quicker TTK is better than a big mag
True dat
He's right
Elmo isn't needed too
Elmo already has 70 rounds
What ar is better¿
Elmo is a good choice as a "just throw it on and it works" gun, but there are better options for the long-run.
Elmo is fine but I'd recommend a Police M4 with Killer/Measured
Explain! Curious
any +790 rpm weapon with DTTooC and Killer (solo) and measured for everything else.
For Hotshot builds. Whats a good secondary weapon to use?
I show
It's really up to the player. I normally use another MMR one with Detemine and the the other one of the exo ones.
Doesn't need to be M4. M4 just easy to say.
P416 Famas others out ther that all work.
Interesting. Using the Mantis cause I like the decoys as a primary. And then the Thorn as a secondary cause I like the Spas-12 aesthetic lol.
Noted
I see
We know you're not but since it is an official disocrd for TD2 no self promotion.
I'm not sure how to do that....
Just the raw video you can upload
Gotta get on my pc one sc
What about if I forwarded the video cause it's 8 mins and I don't have Discord nitro
Like the link...
If it's a link to your channel, it's not allowed.
Sorry, rules have to remain consistent for everyone.
Gotcha Well then I'll sit here and figure something out as I can't share the video right now
If you're just trying to show us the build, take a screenshot of the main build page and we'll see it.
DL something called Handbrake
You can compress to into 720p video and it'll work better
I see alrighry I'll give it a try
What would be good attributes or core attributes for lets say a famas 2010
I have killer already in yhe library
I shared a picture of the build earlier
This'll be with a different piece tho with blood sucker
weapons are always DTTooC
Hm?
You talkng about the value/amount? or?
It's lost
I mean like what's the better idk attribute like we have damage to armor, rate of fire, swap speed
I think health damage is fixed in
Yeah it is
It's always. DTTooC - Dmg to target out Cover.
Ooh thats what that means got it
I rolled this but I think that white arrow means it caps at that. How do I fix that so it can go all the way?
For weapons, you always want DTOC as the third attribute with the exception of LMGs which already roll DTOC natively.
The short and sweet of it is that Division uses different ways to calculate damage done, and DTOC is calculated multiplicatively rather than additively, so your DMG explodes faster. Basically, you have Additives and Amplifiers. Amplifiers are what you want wherever possible. Additives should only be taken if it's the only available option and doesn't compromise build synergy. Which is why Fox's Prayer Kneepads isn't always used, even when it has 8% DTOC on it.
The arrow on the bar signifies up to where you have that attribute saved in the library.
White arrow means that that's the value you have extracted in your Library. If you want to have it maxed, extract a max value.
When you have it maxed it turns orange like so:
Alright that's good info thanks!
I don't know if the spreadsheet is up to date, but these two links have the Weapon/Gear talent list. And it tells you in there which is an Amplifier and which is just a flat damage increase.
Gotcha
To everyone who has watched escalation for the higher levels what builds were people using so I can know which build should I actually prototype ( besides striker yes I know they been using that build)
There's an old thing in Build Hub with of the list of AMP, TWD and WD stuff
do i need 2 blue for sheriff hunter chain killer , and gift/providence backpack build?
I never use blues for HH or HF builds.
Im confused what you sending me
to the channel where people did PTS.
PTS has ended plus you really shouldn't apply Exp 30 on gear this soon. Wait until changes are made and Proto gear is something solid. It's still pretty soon to tell atm.
Okay
That makes sense
I’m going for a DPS build (I’m new), atm im using rifles as higher damage but the clips at so small, am I better off using assault rifles?
Per bullet Rifle does more but anything with RPM has a much higher DPS.
there's two different ways to build around Rifles and ARs
btw take a look at the Lvl40 Starters Guide
even if you uses shield?
None.
I only level 29 so should I just not bother until 40? 😂
yeah
100% nothing matter till 40
nothing matters before lvl40
Try everything and use everything.
Haha okay good to know, I haven’t played since it was first released aha
Thanks guys and girls! 😌
"Actually I'm a boy!"
-Felix
ok all red then tnx
Ya know... sometimes I feel ike I'm being punished for doing my job as DPS properly.
EIGHT other people to shoot at and the NPCs target me because I'm the one mopping the floor with a Hunter.
That two games in a row where threat just sucks to deal with.
Imagine dancing Salsa with a Hunter
lol.. some days I feel like a total dummy.. I'm running around trying to farm a green set of striker gear and all I was getting was blue gear.. checked my settings and turned off a colorblind setting I guess I had set and low and behold.. the blue set WAS green.. sighs
Bro, I died in CD because a Hunter was on my ass and no one was helping. I killed the guy myself after foaming him but it doesn't matter because the other NPCs getting shot at by my team IN THEIR FACE, decides I'm a bigger issue. Like what the FK.
The way threat in this game works just sucks ass because if you're pushing out giga numbers you will always take priority over someone else that is actively up in someones face and shooting a chunk of their cheeks off.
So it's like... I'm 40 meters away, having my fight in the corner with a Hunter, then some fk ass NPC decides, "Yeah I know your teammate is up my ass with a shotgun, but I'm going to shoot you instead."
Only thing I could think of for that is looking for the 'Cloak' named item kneepads
It's a load of actual horse shit.
-50% reduced threat on those, if you can find a way to work them into your loadout
Without wrecking my damage? No.
I know the feeling.. I got two tapped by a hunter earlier.. everyone was blasting away.. I run around and corner and instantly downed
I shouldn't have to rely on items like that though, least of all when I can see the guy literally switch targets to me, because he decided he wanted to butt into my fight. Actually dumb design.
All while he's already get shot at by two of my teammates at that, and only when I died did he turn back to them.
Who on Earth coded this...
there are times I really WANT to run into CD with a full on FU tank build
This all wouldn't be a problem if threat actually worked as intended, and wasn't just based on "Who's the monkey doing the most damage? Target that guy."
But apparently, that's how it works. Gigablasting a Hunter into oblivion instantly catches the attention of every NPC in a 10 mile radius.
Blue OD works and doesn't hold the team back
tbf I think its kinda normal to target the guy wiping out your entire squad yknow?
if little jimmy is missing half his shots and uncle bob is 1 tapping your buddys i know who I'm targeting
At that point just remove threat altogether cause it won't matter with how much they like to switch targets anyway. lmao That attribute is pointless in a game like this where there isn't even a consistent holy trinity of Tanks, Healers, and DPS. It's all just DPS.
oh I don't disagree threat is beyond dumb in division, but the current system makes more sense from the angle of the npcs having a brain
ain't no one shooting the bullet proof armored van (tank guy) compared to the extremely dangerous minigunner wearing sandals
I don't need them to have brains. In fact, I need their brains splattered across the pavement by my Classic M1A thanks.
ngl, that type of physics would be nice in this kinda games
sniper elite was kind of on the right track but they did it wrong imo
I'll be fair here, I agree with you in that regard that kind of design makes logical sense. But it directly contradicts RPG elements where you'd usually find a trifecta of DPS, Tank, and Supports (i.e. healers). But Division turned the other cheek on the highway and said, "nah, fk that dude, lmao here's builds that do anything and everything in between." Which makes AI targeting also unpredictable as hell.
I mean if this was like actually meant to be difficult content, I could definitely agree with you there. But this is Countdown for Christs sake. It's a farming sim and I just feel like I'm being punished for playing well.
I still don't get why that farmin sim even needs perma death, especially when it doesn't even clock in until extract phase.
which should i choose for shotgun, acog scope or micro red do?
Context helps.
Is this build okay? It’s tanky enough for retaliation on heroic so that’s a benchmark I’m happy with, but I still feel like I lack a lot of damage. Most of the mods are crit damage/chance. not sure if there is a better gun I should consider using
This is why YouTube build vids are bad news bears
too many blues, memento would be better exotic and chameleon has range issues and feels like an smg, any other ar will be infinitely more useful at distance
also foundry bulwark is definitely a choice
Is it that bad to have a full 4-piece? I’m on the newer side of build crafting so I wasn’t sure. Chameleon definitely sucks range-wise but this is tanky enough where that isn’t a huge issue, mostly just don’t kill enough that close.
the problem with being too tanky is you deal next to no damage, this is why hybrids are a good middle ground because you get the survivability you need while still being able to kill enemys within a decent time so you aren't just sponging bullets until you die
4pc isnt bad on certain sets but foundry is doing you no favors here
Oooo how does a hybrid build look? I have noticed it’s either glass cannon or bust I’ve just got so bored with striker and st Elmo’s lol
Let's put it another way. Up to solo heroic almost anything is viable. But once you move out of that things scale differently.
I need to work on the Hybrid builds guides
Is there any fun build that doesn’t require me to just run pure red? I had a refractor build for support with capacitor but was looking for a new one
More than just using my one primary weapon probably for me. I like using skills but those are hit or miss for endgame and to do most things you have to invest so much into weapon damage so I feel limited on what playstyles I can try
Have you ever tried a mortar build?
Or seen one at least
Also, do you play predomenantly solo or in groups?
I’ve used the mortar but idk what build it is. i definitely need to get used to it because i didn’t like using the mortar first time around haha, maybe it’s different on harder difficulties though because i tried it during warlords dlc on story
It can pack a real punch with the right build. I assume you just ran whatever gear you had and it didnt really work well together
I have one other friend I play with. He’s fine with using meta builds and we both came from Destiny so the systems aren’t complicated to understand. I’m just a huge enjoyer of build crafting
If you like build crafting you will like this build planner:
https://buildstation.app/
Honestly no I tried to make a tank build with some heavy regen, it helped my friend because it gave them a lot of armor due to them being all red and I was able to swap revive for artificer for retaliations which was great! I just fell short on damage too much so I felt like it wasn’t doing a whole lot of help
Thanks!
Tank builds in this game don't work so well as they do in other RPGs/shooters with such a mechanic
They're valid up to a point but generally you lose more from running one than you gain
Yeah I’ve started to notice 😭 maybe I’ll give that mortar build a shot haha
Hang on
I saw a Reddit post that gave me some hope with the new prototype armor tho so that’s exciting
I ran a slightly different version in the PTS. It's OK solo but blows nothing out of the water
Oh darn
With that set in a full red build I got 1.5 mil armor
But the damage was lacking for a red build
When does that new update come out btw?
Beginning of April, think it was April 2nd?
Gotcha thx
the gear set provides only stats, but no amps or anything that would actually boost your damage
Yeah 2nd
Similar but different. Give it a shot if you want
Okay question: is there a build out there that just turns sticky bombs into one shot monsters or no lol
it's going to perform like some 6pc improvised set but worse because you now have no gear set effects, only 3 mods, and only 1 attribute for 4 of the 6 pieces
You were able to have that in Division 1 lol
It's nerfed in this game and not as effective outside of special events
Ahhhh okay
Anyways, those two guides I posted above come from the spreedsheet which can be found in the 1st pinned msg in this channel. Part of a massive, community made spreadsheet. It yields a good variety of build suggestions and useful info in general, case you're interested
For the second doc, you can aim the mortar while in shield?
You can have both skills active, yes. I would not run it like that personally but it's an option
Was just curious for other shield ideas, probably would run sticky chem launcher to get better at aim then go from there
Yeah go try things out. Everything in here are just recommendations and suggestions, what you make of it is up to you
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1LPnA18PDgGg_dEbNI1kZVTVIMGXNHQS_
Maybe you'll find something in here as well; a bit of gear knowledge helps but everything is explained either way
Yes but why would use a shield with HP vs something that can't be destroy.
are the habsburg rolled cores bugged?
why?
its been 2 months with hundred thousands of e credit n resources, i still havent got at least one piece with proper red cores
red cores?
you mean core or attributes?
yeah
habs doesnt drop with red core
at least attributes should have had more red 😫
so far the best roll i could get for the chest
blue core'd brands tend to go more to blue/yellow attributes, red atts are rare
are you trying to do unicorn hotshot?
yeah, real pain
not worth doing
Hey @subtle bluff or @smoky latch what talent should I put on this if I already have one with Strained and Fast Hands?
Or should I just leave it with Measured?
my issue atm is that Countdown Map doesn't fully load at times so I keep falling through the map.. lol.. but each run I do lately is for ARs to try and get St' Elmo's Engine
I dislike that archetype. RPM is OK for Measured if you want
I think I would have to switch it to SMG or rifles if I wanted to try for both St. Elmos's and Chameleon
I am using a vector and Carbine 7 atm.. I really like the RPM of the vector
NVM.. I'll leave it on ARs.. Chameleon is an AR is seems.. lol
MP5? What are you using it for?
Nothing at the moment. I just have a massive weapons collection for pretty much any situation. I have two copies already of the ST variant, one with Strained and another with Fast Hands.
I could open a gun shop with everything I have. The most I have copies of is FAMAS. one for each skin plus another two. lmao
@infinity i finally got a few gr9's that spec'd right so you think reload for 3rd attribute with what perk for tips scale build?
CHC for LMGs always
im already over on chc im at 63% id have to take both my chc mods off which would leave me a little under 60 chc i believe i got a 6 and 5.7 on atm for chc
RoF it is
if i swap that attribute how should i balance that? a gun is 9.5 max right one sec let me go check
ok 6x6 = 36 +10 = 46 + 9.5 = 55.5 oh 1 crit mod would work ok so rest damage mods?
unwavering or killer are good too
It's fine to go over
with TS builds.
im guessing theres no technically way to not waste a slot to make sure im at 60?
I used to hit 60 exactly on my HF build till Massive decided they wanted to nerf shit for no reason.
yes and no.
Still madge about that.
lol thats unfortunate
now we will have prototypes. enjoy having all of your upgraded rolls go into CHC, completely screwing up your crit ratio into a lopsided mess whether you like it or not
oh and you don't get to do things like "swap equipment out", it's 83% CHC or bust
does stability or accuracy matter more for tips? if its stability if i did a 5 chc mod on my gun making it 10% i could do full damage mods on my armor with 30% stability would that be the most efficient?
total would be 60.5% for chc if im mathing this right
with TS full chc until 60%
stability and accuracy depends on the gun and how it feels to shoot it
Disgustang
stability effects recoil the most and accuracy effects first shot or is it different now?
Accuracy is the "bloom" or spread of your gunfire.
The higher it is the tighter the spread is.
looks like imma have to go test then i never really paid attention to that detail ty hyperiem
im having more cone left and right up and down so id need more stability?
What roll should I be going for on the Sheriff and is Hunters fury a good set to run with it?
Right now I have max shotgun dmg, armor dmg and crit damage
FYI, don't go by the bar on the gun's stats, that's a trap. You lose all recoil at 100% Stability which you can see in your stats page.
ah ok
DTOC and yes
Ok thank you
ok thx a bunch i am finally set up just gotta farm shd and outcast parts sigh
Time to open exotic caches for days, that is if nobody throws turrets at the Hunters
recently hit 40 and just got the full set of strikers gear. where should I go from here? I havent recalibrated anything yet
get rid of two pieces, usually mask and chest as a starter
could also do gloves instead of mask
farm a coyote (exo mask) and an equalizer named chest from unit alloys, when that's done, farm for the exo gloves overdogs
coyote is easier to get and he will need it while getting to the gloves
while you’re waiting for those to drop, try a ceska mask
and switch your ak to for any weapon that have above 790 rpm and put the talent killer on it
and check the pinned message to get some guides on what to do next
Depends on your stats.
If you got atleast 55% chc u can get chd or damage to armor
The difference between damage to armor and chd isnt that huge
anyone know a good bighorn build i be wanting to test ones
wait are you recalibrating it ?
this is some bad advices
you want to get DTTOOC on all of your weapons, except for LMGs where you go for CHC cause DTTOOC is already on it
and if you already have too much CHC while using an LMG then you go for RoF on it
there are two high-end builds that are good with the bighorn, or you could use it with a striker set anyway
i do have it with striker just wondering abt other builds striker be boring using it a lot times
thx
or you could go for an equalizer instead of the sacrifice
i personnaly use the equalizer with fox's prayer and a prov def mask, but i'll try to swap the fox's prayer for unit alloys kneepads soon, it might be better for the mag size you'll get from the third piece, i just didn't had time to farm one
ill test them all and see but i dont have overdogs still tryna get mines the RNG is not in my favour for these haha
are you sure you don't already have the blueprints ?
alot of ppl don't know that but the blueprint is a reward from the completion of the hyenas retaliations, it wont drop on the ground but will be given and be in your crafting table as soon as you get it
so you might already have it actually
i dont have it yet at least
ok 🙂
i be unlucky so far
i was just asking cause i already had alot of ppl i tried to help getting those in game, but they already had the blueprint without knowing x)
understandable i get it
am i doing something wrong? my chud build feels like it does no damage in heroic countdown
Recommend challenging difficulty. The drop quality of items aren’t much different really and it’s easier
imo the striker chest piece boosts dmg more with the bag also
Hmmm, maybe you arent landing your shots alot? Missed shots = missed dps. It could also be due to the exotic? (exodus doesnt have a good offensive skill.) But still its a good build and this is my two cents
Exodus is fine other than slightly annoying your team
i be hitting my shots n shi but it takes so long to kill enemies in heroic countdown 💔
Striker chest makes stacks into the 200s, which isnt easy to get outside of boss rooms, and big chunky boys.
I mean, enemies wont go down easily. I usually play on heroic, but it takes a bit to put down enemies
its why i said in my opinion id use the striker chest
i find it best but each to there own
it takes so long it honestly kinda feels like a joke atp
i want more shd levels but ion know a good way to farm them i just been doing countdowns
I mean, you have better stats than me (i have less chd and chc), but I think its due to some of your pieces not having a high base weapon damage stat, or you dont have perfect oblit on
Public Executions and or just open-world activities
Anything to just grind and not get bored
Nope, you have perfect oblit, could be a stack issue? You mght not be able to get stacks in time.
i be having max stacks on both striker and oblit 💔
Switch to challenging difficulty again. It’ll feel better
For CD
Okay, so uh... I can't really find the problem here, it could be the exotic? Usually people use memento and Overdogs, but exodus is good
hi...how can i improve my m1a tinkerer build which iv built without advice...im going flatline and streamline on weapons with tinker mask 2 pc breaking point...closer chest piece...ceska pack with vigilance and foxes prayer ....rolling everything into crit chance and crit damage....it feels good im just wondering what the meta build is
I'm better with pictures
its on ps5 and im on pc now lol
ah lol
@tall jackal
Okay, so honestly it could just be a feel problem, you feel like you arent killing fast enough even though you are
im looking to push my diamondback crit damage as far as i can as my next goal, what combination of stats and gear pieces could i use to better squeeze out more damage
Could we see stats?
@thick meteor
first thing i'd do is get chainkiller chest and the gift backpack
Hm...
if you don't mind dropping tinkerer use overdogs
Pretty sure hes going with Damage not HSD Build
iv got chainkiller and the gift on 1886 build im not looking to use determined as my 1886 hits 60mill and im happy with it just playing around with the m1a
even backfire takes a little bit to kill them in heroic cd, its a 8 man scaled fight it isn't supposed to be easy
and yeh from the quick google i did it seems the best thing was to roll crit damage/chance and not headshot so i went that way
CD heroic is harder than any other normal heroic gamemode right?
well at the moment yes but when escalation comes out no
i've never seen a crit rifle build that isn't diamondback
iv i drop tinker i lose 42% damage off streamline...is that worth it when overdogs isnt always in play but streamline almost always is...only my reviver will stop it when i go down
I had one that was using full HE and laserpointer for amp damage, had a unicorn or two but slapped pretty hard
yeah this could be the case, idk what was up with my teammates earlier though i think one of them used an evil ass debuff or something that made enemies take like 4x damage
crits went from 560k to 2m
actually u guys prob correct il go overdogs cause i like to pulse when doin bounties and shield other times and it ll knock my streamline off...cheers
sounds like it was a countdown countermeasure
probably close range buff, would've done the majority but also team buffs definitely played a part
is strega any good? that mag size is dissuading me a lot but wanted to ask
560k crits whith striker and st elmo's feels really weak tho
I mean if you can keep the stacks I believe at 3 and above on enemies then yes. But for pure DPS no. Also make sure you have good CHC since Strega doesn't come with much.
maybe ı'll try a build for it some other day thanks
hes level 50 its to be expected
oh, no watch stats, so yeah
doesn't watch not give that much anyway
would love to get shd 1000 but unfortunately i can't spend 20 hours a day on the game 💔
with perfect rolls on a red striker and a watch maxed out i'm at 55% CHC and 132% CHD with the st elmo
you don't need to spend 20 hours a day x)
wait for a 5x xp event and spend 4 hours a day
it is extremely difficult to get close to 60% chc without the free 10% from the watch, it is a pretty big benefit
everything else is pretty marginal
i'm at like 55% but my cd is only at like 85% rip
and what's the third attribute on your st elmo
dmg to enemies not in cover
ok, good
it dropped at 10% the world is healing ❤️
so you just need to optimized your items now tbf
and get rid of your gloves if i'm being honest
go for a coyote while trying to get overdogs
they keep me alive so
they shouldn't, either your placement is wrong or you're rushing in too much, in that case alot of ppl don't like what imabout to say, but try using 3 blue cores
with a shield
so don't play striker then ngl x)
or at least don't play it with an ar, use an lmg maybe and either a decoy or banshee pulse
i don't really mind the gloves
when using OD, are there exotic weapons competitive with sadist HEs?
you can't complain about your dps being low then :/
none in terms of damage, but you can use iron lung or bluescreen for utility
you're not using a coyote, or overdogs, so you're losing alot of dps ngl
iron lung for bleed + burn with vile?
you are not running status effects with OD
bleed is useless with OD, the only purpose of bleed is to proc hollow-point ammo generation and the damage buff
you run it like a crit DPS, no status effects
oh burning enemies don't shoot is that the utility of iron lung?
that's it
time to spend another 300 hours in countdown praying for exotic gloves ig
ok ok didn't occur to me to use the burn for cc
iron lung is really good in DPS builds for that CC, its a real lifesaver at times
at least until they release prototypes and powercreep all exotics in the game
powercreep in a vacuum sure
you have to actually get the drops which is not happening yet
im aware
also they might even just completely change the prototype system or something
as much as i love iron lung, you should only need one status proc to make the build start working and then the hp bullets start self sustaining
like banshee pulse, emp sticky, or foam launcher
no sadist is a pretty huge damage loss
Emp sticky is my favourite for getting OD started because it works against everything and is extra helpful against robotics which you're weaker against generally (can't bleed them). Plus a fast cooldown, easy aim and stagger
Yo tryna optimize a build how do I get tactical assesments for cleaners
retaliation or optimization cache that where i get them or you can craft it
for a build classic run and shoot without relying on stack and good dps , what your recommandation ?
did d2 have an update or why is it installing again on my pc?
Hear me out: this, but with the upcoming Investor exotic mask, all yellow cores!
- 15% Skill Efficiency on 3 Yellow Minor Attributes (5% per Minor Attribute).
Right? @smoky latch @subtle bluff
You'll likely never get such a roll lol
ongoing directive is pretty free to maintain
get bleed bullets > maintain bleed bullets > win
and it’s rather competitive with builds that use stacks if you can one mag kill
because even with a coyote / elmo striker build , feel like i dont have lot of damage
i'm still early for shd level etc , but the build got all the passive / stats etc
what weapon is this?
strega
whats the best cc for most high end group stuff like legendary strongholds, master, etc? foam eclipse?
Foam eclipse. If really good group, foam FI.
Is Hunter's Fury worth running for the 4pc set, or would I get more damage from swapping to two high ends and my Exotic?
nice
got a strike and hotshot pretty maxed, next one would be a tipping scales?
Depends on what you're looking for. TS is solid
hunter's fury 4p is really strong yes
alr like lmgs so look good
is heartbreaker bugged or not? i have seen some people claim stacks are not happening and other saying it works as intended
I was told the LLP is acting funky since the devs made changes to it. But I don't use that set and don't have all the info
the only way to stack HB is with ACS afaik since it's a bug
i have 3 pve agents with 4 on these builds LOL
My fav, withch Ima snag the pack and chest and out on my main is my HSD with 2 status eff rolls 1.3sec extra on my foam
For legendary/master solo, which exotic would help more? Catharsis or overdogs?
If you want to solo it in a reasonable amount of time, you go full red w/ Overdogs, but it's going to be a very difficult fight
If you don't care and you just want to solo it at any cost, Memento with some blue cores
Btw if you're trying to do legendary solo I recommend watching Toastey's guides on youtube on how to do so
i searched around and the solution is unequip and equip the gear 🙂
What build would you recommend for a guy who only wants to use Big Al? I basically do all the thinking for my friend and I and don't want to steer him wrong. So far, I believe he's going Tipping Scales. (I don't believe we're ever gonna bother doing raids or legendary content)
i was using a build with tipping scales and sawyer's kneepads
with mixed results
the issue is in most content not moving is a huge problem
I personally just found this Ongoing Directive Bluescreen build that looks stupid fun, I just want to give him something easy to build haha
oh Big Al is Iron Lung?
no those are different guns
Quick question here: what you guys use more often in your red builds? Exodus gloves or overdogs? Also why?
the latter
overdogs up top
This is my fav one, yellow atts.
So im thinking of taking them 2 yellow rolled peaces and brin them to my main and make 30 LOL
bc you get a 30% amp dmg to enemies within the lowest Tier hierarchy which is a better Coyote's if you ask me
well the issue with Alejandro is you can't stay in cover. so not sure how the build above helps with that? you will die instantly
“cover” can take many forms
if you are blocking LOS by just strafing from a wall, that’s not “being in cover” but you still won’t get shot
also, going all red means you can magdump them in the head to get a stagger and then they die
neither, PVGC Striker is love, PVGC Striker is life
Okay, so the OD Bluescreen build I'm following, the guy uses a yellow backpack with Wicked instead of the gearpiece backpack. Does Wicked out preform the bonus hollow point damage? (If I have my thoughts right and it does what I think lol)
man don’t tell the new player to use PVGC lmao
You have supreme confidence in your ability not to get damaged at all +_+
idc I must spread the word
What makes it harder to play?
yeah wicked is way better
bleed damage is worthless, the only thing you care about is the chest amp
Got it, thanks man!
both vigilance and glass cannon require very careful play to not get hit
PGC makes you take 60% more damage. Vigilance means taking damage severely hampers your damage output for 4 (3) seconds
This is what I'm currently following
looks nice
omg I remember being a glass cannon player like 7 years ago that's too funny
alejandro+glass cannon = death
Decoy make help with it but i think i would be screwed using that build as i do not play very aggressively
Is not bad but get a Ceska backpack, the CHC will serve this build better
you need to be very familiar with how to position and corner peek before you can use it effectively
So this backpack gives bonus LMG dmg, what does Ceska do?
also thank you 🙂
Adds important critical hit chance to it
You will get more than enough weapon damage from this set, what you need now are crits. Especially CHC will help with this build
got it, makes sense - thank god you guys are so helpful haha
Wait. You may want to use red cores there i see the two blue corrs. However, i am going ask what content you are running
hmm
why do i see youtube captions at the bottom of that image…
oh it's just from the video I'm following
okay, so YouTube is a bad guide for builds
#1 Tip. Stay away from YT Division.
Most likely not legendary
tbf the one shown isn't the worst one of the lot but still avoid it if possible
now if you're following a NBB build never talk to me again
get a load of this guy /j
The one above is pretty good for YT tho
haha that's totally fair, I've found a few cool guys that seem to know what they're doing but I honestly have no clue. I know iKia is super smart? This one was FRANK
@smoky latch lol
Rare find, mark it with an X in your calendar lol
iKia is really good, he's like one of the very few exceptions
yeah this is actually pretty inoffensive as far as youtube goes
sometimes people come in here with like blue strikers and get all upset that people want them to change it back
Its just that 2 blue core will barely make difference in suriviablity compare to going full blue. Most the content will not need either at the moment. Red core will just make things dead faster.
I like the guy who has the yellow sweater + skullmask, Kamikaze maybe? I can't remember lmao
Got it
especially if you're not using a shield with blue cores, something LMGs don't let you
I mostly homebrew at this point as i have adapt a build to my funky playstyke.
Can I use these instead of overdogs they have the same talent
Nope lol
they're bugged, don't rely on them
Dang, wrong answer? Any recommendations?
iKia, his build collection
Or the community spreadsheet which you can find in this channel, first pin
Those crusader shield break so quickly on high end difficulity a lot 0_0.
who wrote this?
I was actually gonna ask about the spreadsheet. Are the builds updated? I noticed some say S6 or S7?
some guy called Doomz or some shit
🤔
His IKia recommended build good.
His build collection is good but a lot of can be confusing.
Yeah not all of them. iKia's should be a little more updated from what I could see
Never tested it. More likely to get you kill though.
But they slightly outdated ones are still valid however
sir, if you ask me, I don't know him
i don't know myself either
A lot is updated some are left over from the OG that made it.
hi i watched your solo leggo manning national slog speedrun
sorry for screwing up enemy spawns
as the diffciulty goes up enemy damage scaling completely outpaces shiled and armore scaling
did u remember to dislike
I will never remember to do that
That feature should make a return on YT
it is there. you need a plugin
What?
youtube dislikes
Is patriot set a viable build for high level content?
I don't know how many times I've clicked thumbs down to no effect :p Wdym, plugin?
I have them.
Well I've learned a lot, yall are so helpful lol
you can see the number of dislike on youtube
not really
I'm confused rn
true patriot might be the single worst gearset
you can press dislike and it will register, it just doesn't display the current number of dislikes. there is an unofficial plugin/extension for either browsers or android youtube app to force display the number
It looks fun to use
i made a full red true patriot build once, immediately trashed it
Has anyone found use cases for measured and concretrated company gear sets?
I see, will look into it
CoCo is basically like TS when compared with Striker, Final Measur- sorry, Measured Assembly is very niche
I’m running big ale with tipping scale or bluescreen with ongoing directive or breaker set, looking for other fun but strong sets
How do they compared with each other? Also rip measured assembly.
concentrated company stacks affect pestilence ticks, so it’s pretty nice for that
CoCo has a lower damage ceiling than Striker and is more annoying to stack when solo, but by no means is it not a solid and competent option even at high difficulties
CoCo Backfire fully stacked is nice too
It's funny coco is rather comparable to striker for dps when fully stacked.
It's just how stacking work is the thing.
Ye
it’s super cozy in groups
tag the guy everyone else is shooting at and you hit max stacks before clearing the first encounter
Should I not bother with the BlueScreen at all for that OD build then?
Exuro exists 🤐
Keep it as seconday, I use a HE LMG with Sadist as primary for instance, then BS as alternative
good point 😹
The forbidden set
bluescreen is a very good lmg, purely from stats, and has bonus utility
it will work fine for you
the tinkerer OD build will outperform it but that’s behind a master manhunt
That set is so bad most people haven’t heard of it or don’t know what it does.
doing a control point in a zone where exuro is the target drop and looking at your inventory like “ew i stepped in dog crap”
oh I was actually gonna ask about that. Now that I read the iKia build with Tinkerer - does that mean that the tinkerer mask is locked behind that content?
So basically I should stick to Bluescreen and Overdogs till Tinkerer is achievable
I know it very well for watching hunters hack the turret during countdown, followed by 4 agents being 360 noscoped by tier 6 fire
You can matchmake for it
Just watch a video before you do that. Last boss is tough
Assault should help immensely
yeah if you are gonna do it, do it now while we have a global event up
I love the weekly events, so cool. Assault is next week right?
just had my first one, being ambush and didn't realize what the bonus was till yesterday lol
Assault is live. That'll be the end of it
Started today
Does anyone here have mantis build i need theorycraft something on to it.
🌭
ooooh got it, darn, definitely won't be able to get it then even with the event haha. My build is mediocre at best and still haven't been New York DLC yet lol
Search for "Hotdog" in this channel
What the heck
Ah yes
I added some mustard to my hotdog
you can do the manhunts whenever you like, playing new york would just give you lore knowledge
Okay i wanted to look plain hotdog so then i could cook some very very odd looking
unicorn blood 🦄
No, I'd rather have it with double crits and GC...
That's the "plain" HotDog
I prefer my hotdogs broken
that palisade? what talent
headhunter
"boom, headshot" talent
wow
Hmmmm.....
miss a headshot though and it's time to die, especially if you're using HHF
How good is the decoy?
best skill for solo DPS users 100000%
also works well in groups
Yes
I usually play solo or with 1 other guy so I imagine it'll be pretty good then lmao
I actually prefer full groups though, just the matchmaking doesn't seem great or maybe people aren't searchign for my difficulty
Also what is the difference between t5 clone vs t6?
Clone?
it takes some time to learn and get used to how it draws aggro, but once you do you can do really silly stuff with it or get out of a sticky situation
Decoy
like for example you can run towards a group of enemies and throw your decoy down, the enemies will hard focus on the decoy first so you can shoot the enemies in the back of the head
needless to say decoy cured my revive hive dependence
was literally just about to ask what you guys prefer. I've been using Fixer + Reviver since I started playing last week
Increased duration and maybe additional aggro drawing? Not sure rn
I've seen better decoys on other sci-fi games but it works.
The wiki says Health + Duration
crusader shield is better than fixer drone imo
Yeah then the aggro factor only gets increased with additional expertise
little difference between challenging and below so i recommend at least go challening/
Exo gloves + decoy
Shadow clone Jutsu!!
at skill tier 0, the shield is incredibly weak, but you don't use it to facetank, you use it for additional breathing room
you pop it out in short bursts, and then slither back into cover when you notice you're getting shot at a lot
how does it work? I never touched the shield, even when I played at launch cause it seemed like really bad haha
I imagine everyone is on Heroic right?
heroic and legendary. you will find groups very quikjcly
I got massively downvoted on reddit once when I mentioned that someone uses their T0 shield wrong with a DPS build when they complained that it breaks too fast. I'll never forget
bruh
for good measure im going to link my glass cannon guide here. hopefully iKia doesn't yell at me this time
It's a buffer to a one shot if nothing.
It will save you but will not just eat all the shots for you.
So Crusader... you use it and it regens your armour?
no
There seems to be a decent amount of people with different expectations but no game experience who think otherwise :p
treat it more like a small amount of bonus armor that you can activate and deactivate at will
it's not going to help you at all if you're getting blasted in the face, but it will protect you from maybe 10 or so bullets
this is a great read
which can mean the difference between keeping all of your actual armor and getting health gated
and when it breaks you get disoriented no matter what, it's a serious handicap to let your shield break
that's why you have to be careful even when using it
I should add that to the guide too brb
if you're good enough, shield is a nuisance
but some of us are not
Hmmm, not sure how well decoy will stack cloak though...
so i have a few shiled builds 🙂
Reading this now 🙂
i dont think people ever get happy using shield. it is just a mental support
i know, I'm mostly trying to say it can be counterproductive, cuz naturally you would use the shield and tank with it right
main utility of shield is that it can take damage and not deactivate (perfect) vigilance
but then when you try to and it breaks it feels bad
yes, foundry bulwark ftw
also sometimes i try to get in cover with shield
me when i see someone use shield and smart cover together
I should probably massively reword the opening section of my guide someday, solo heroic is not the greatest way to reveal why blue cores are kinda bad
Wow that guide is great. I just learned so much lmao - here I thought blues were actually worth a damn
ru would agree
@flint arch i am waiting for your pfe guide now
i think you can use solo heroic tidal basin for that rather than solo heroic in general
Okay, I probably have to reword it someday, but to be clear, running blue cores is not a sin, you can do it if you're solo and you want some help with learning how to position well
But if you only facetank with a shield, you won't learn anything, and running blue cores on the highest difficulties will hamper you more than it will help you
the key here is that you're not forced to run blue cores for anything but very few encounters in the game (mostly IH final fight)
it's not to say that you're forced to run reds either
IH = Iron Horse I assume?
yes
and even then that's only when you run the 2 tank roles in there (key tank and stagger tank)
How are raids in this game anyway? I used to be a big Destiny player back in the day but that's really my only experience with Raids
unlike Destiny raids (or so I've heard), Div 2 raids are not Sisyphus Simulator™
i went off on bro yesterday
I'm gonna do that later..
Dark Hours is very easy and pretty light on mechanics
D1 raids were so fun, D2 raids are miserable and why I quit lmfao
Iron Horse is more mechanic heavy, but I managed to get through it fine even though it took an hour
nah it's rather hard to remember all the spawns and count kills to stagger the spawns out
i don't blame you at all for not knowing the strat there
@copper kayak he was blocking my shots and fire nading spawn doors when i told him not to
I should've known the strat actually, the video you showed me for C2C also showed enemy spawns in the aviary
oop wrong chow but you know
All I will say is that I will never do Manning National Slog ever again and if you force me to do it I'll quit the game if prototypes didn't do it for me
so you're saying you'll quit if i force you?
no
dammit
how difficult is solo tidal basin on Heroic anyway I haven't done it solo in like months
I remember doing it a few times before though
it's harder than most of the main heroic missions, acts as a good filter
how big of a difference is Heroic from Challenging?
interesting
countdown or in general?
yeah I recall that mission being more annoying than most, except for the goddamned zoo
just in general. I haven't touched any extra gamemodes or anything yet
very big in a beginner's POV
more Elites and Named enemies, more dmg, more health and more waves of enemies
more named enemies in heroic? I thought they were fixed in missions
oh wait there's control points
e.g cont- ye lol
We know why it went away LOL to think a dislike on a vid would make you spiral so hard you have a meltdown.
the most annoying part of heroic is that there is only 1 checkpoint in all missions (sans some minor exceptions), and that is before the final room
Yeah, fugg censorship :p
once you get used to heroic you will never even want to touch challenging ever again
and you'll long for the day someone can teach you how to do legendary
i wish someone taught me
me too
no really cuz no one taught me back then, i threw myself into it
F that noise LOL Im lazy farmer LOL
were there no toastey videos
nope
damn
i was doing it before toastey started that series
I guess us new players have it good until prototype ruined everything for everyone
self-made
hot take but i think prototype still won't save the most careless players in legendary
the American Dream after the Green Poison
I tried using full prototype PVGC Striker in DUA, it felt like when I solo'd it with redline + ambush
It was considerably easier, but by no means is it easy
Enemies die a lot faster, but you're still as squishy even with the extra armor core from expertise
don't underestimate the average redditor, i'm gonna call it we'll see some post like "I had full Prototype gear and still got melted in Legendary"
Oh for sure
coming in with hot takes like "they need to buff prototype gear more"
how many more points do we get from heroic cd compared to challenging?
I think its about 2x, but the chance of failure is significantly higher so it's not really worth it
iirc someone said like you need 3 challenging CDs to buy 2 exo caches, whereas 1 heroic CD is enough for 1 exo cache
idk i haven't played CD for 50 years now
I think it's like 2-3 runs sometimes
what else to do if not cd and retals?
I barely play it these days. Ran it enough when it came out
i personally do retals and priority objectives nowadays
you just cycle prios over and over?
yeah
Good ways to farm exo components
if i run out of good prios i go on other characters
gonna post this here
you don't need to post that twice
How is this relvant to builds?
I'm sorry
the heli going super speed at 0:50 tho

holy shit 1mil crit at 0 stack
yes
yeah i think we're cooked
the fact I can probably solo leggo DUA during the PTS if I cared enough is proof we're cooked
lol
as a member with a superman pfp once said, and to paraphrase, 4 people with full prototype gear would turn legendary into casual heroic
there would definitely be caveats, but holy shit would it make it way easier
you have game in an asian language, sir is goated by nature
fun fact: im Chinese but I failed Chinese at school
unaverage asian
my first language is English lmao, my Chinese is like barely conversational at best
usually its the other way around
I play Div 2 in Chinese mostly because I find it funny the game was properly translated to Chinese
you play the Division 2 chinese servers too?
no
would you?
That requires a different version, no?
it would yes
and I would need a Chinese phone number presumably, something you can't easily get your hands on unless you have contacts within the firewall
<-tried to follow a guide for it but got lost and gave up 😹
you can read but not speak?
actually that description is not the most accurate but to reveal more would be too much info so I'll leave it at that
