That's the reason tank aren't used a lot in Div 2. There is no reliable way to hold agro more than one target.
I guess I'll put it this way. Tanks are niche in the game due how we don't really fully understand how agro works.

Use the tech hive when they spawn so you don't get emp
by no means this is a real tank just allow you be tough enough to take it and kill them before anything.
If you know you won't get emp you can always run stick foam too.

a nice support build if really wanna use your scorpio is blue od. with pointman chest (perfect vanguard) and a the setup backpack (perfectly opportunistic). blue cores on everything and chc/chd on all gear. buts its mostly viable in countdown, you cant kill shit yourself

OD more or less reads: If target has a status effect and you hit them they get a mark. If the target dies with the mark up still OD give the ammo.

and with chest and tinkerer, a really viable option to use for everything ;p except raids and incursion since the bullets runs out before boss dies ;p

depends on whether you intend to use as primary or secondary weapon.
If primary, then the breaking point set pairs well with rifles.

The reason I suggest OD a lot is that there are no stacks it needs.
Yes there are others that peak out better but requires stacks.

Scorpio is a staple on support builds for a reason
Alright, so you want to deal dmg or "take aggro" when the main objective of being a HEALER is to support your team. You're not a DPS person, so helping your teammates by applying status effects so that they don't take any more dmg than necessary. That's the main purpose of SUPPORT BUILDS.
So in simpler words, that AUG is a very good emotional support item.

Because Dttooc is a rare damage type that only exists in 4 places. Weapon being the best one.
This game is about getting the most sources of damage into your calculation to get the highest end result possible.
Different damage sources is better than stacking one single source.
Optimal range has next to zero use, especially on a Sniper
it can be useful, certain missions like tidal and manning, especially on higher difficulties can benefit from optimal range. It's a niche scenario though and with headhunter optimal range is generally just a non issue.

If you can't keep up with striker stacks you're likely using the chest, and you shouldn't be.
Soklov isn't worth using tbh if you're using Elmos, any SMG9 with killer is better than Purist.

I watch plenty YouTube videos, but the question is there is a difference in the striker that I built in Level 250 and the one at level 1000 .. all the creator that I got on YouTube are above level 2000
So I don’t know if I create the same build that they use at level 2000 is it gonna work in lower level?

General CHC. If you're doing focus TS build RoF.
For weapon attributes it's DTTooC > CHC > RoF > DTA
Because TS gives so much CHD you can stats more into CHC on the build but ya.
I think I figured out the Tipping Scales. Still trying out different Rifles and I want to get a 249 with Frenzy to test that instead of Killer but right now this build is doing very well.

Well all the criticism's have already been given to you, so you can work on it.

Too many blue cores: They're uneccesary, and they dont help you survive (they just allow enemies to stay alive longer and you're missing 60% damage)

Streamline isn't good, you're just piling more into a single bucket instead of adding another multiplicative damage source or even a utility talent like Preservation.

DTA doesn't apply to all enemies, and it doesn't apply all the time. It doesn't apply to robotics or chunga at all. Their armour plates are health based.

Consider taking tinkerer off and using blue screen LMG, it goes hard with TS. Alternatively, find another multiplicative damage source (Flatline works well if you have the technicians laser pointer)

Turmoil is not great, its halving your already lowered DPS and you're taking twice as long to kill something, making your armour even less useful.
Support builds
Mortar build with stinger hive wants a word with you and your btsu sacrilege

I feel like btsu only really useful where you can fill in the overcharge with burst damage or team support.
Mortar, oxi, fi, and possibly a good cc build are strong btsu options. Regular turret or drone won't be able to really benefit soo much

yeah HW is good in case you actually need to expend the hive on something, also on that and FI you can overcharge to reset teammates' reviver hive cooldowns if they're willing to listen to you and wait a bit between Legendary rooms

birdies was broken in PTS. if you read the description it said hive but if you used the hive to revive it did it normally without birdie's talent affecting it, so you had to stand near a person to revive peeps quickly
one issue* I always had with Hive in generel, is the programming that doesn't allow all variants to work off your back

used to use m870 expertise 30 but i've been told the thorn is better now
"better" is very debatable when it comes to thorn vs m870, m870 lets you put 2 accuracy mods that make the spread very tight, it also reloads a lot faster, it just loses in base damage by a bit.
if you already can one shot with m870, thorn doesn't give any more meaningful damage to be worth the reload hit and mod hit
thorn is when all you care about is base damage and nothing else, but most of the time you do care about other stuff than just damage

I love the thorn, but it is pretty much a beast as far as handling. It can be unwieldy and like trying to aim a battleship gun. The damage tho is amazing!

I used a KSG with pummel and then swap it every so often for brazen. It is a potent shotgun with great handling as far as aim. Reloading can take a bit.

Tbf there are a few good tank builds but overall Id say its the weakest build type in comparison to damage and skills

A tank build can be amazing the problem is you lose out on way too much
A skill build can also use a shield if they want

they only aggro on threat level you fill up by doing damage, if your threat meter is way higher than your team, they will straight up ignore your team and focus you no matter what
it happens often to me in legendary, team is ass at doing anything, and i get the focus from the entire group of enemy, if i peek just one pixel i will get shreded instantly
meanwhile the entire team is dancing in middle of the room cause they cant do anything lol

you can increase weapon damage through expertise, i would increase chc and chd, a perfect red core build is +50% chc and +120% chd imo
I know that but I'm making a hazard armor region build but I want to use the gear sets that have either weapon damage or crit hit damage or credit a chance and that's why I'm asking. Would you go over weapon damage over crit or would you go crit over weapon damage?
There is no "Prefect" CHC/CHD. I always just say this:
Standard DPS Crit:
With Coyote's 50-54% CHC
W/O Coyote's closest to 60% CHC withouit going over

Demo spec focusing on the GL using the infinite ammo seasonal active has turned up some interesting data. Red cores seem not to affect GL explosion damage? Is this true or is this just Div2 target range shenanigans

Gunner and Sharpshooter with the Advanced Material Active also produce impressive results. Gunner Minigun and Striker are amazing when used on Group Legendary Runs with Advanced Material.

or you can go skill build, even healer, and then you suddenly whip out the GL and delete the room
The GL is hands down the most effective usage of the skill as long as you have a way to cycle the GL quickly
some preliminary scuffed pieces and we get a 9-shot GL that reloads when you swap off and back to it
9 GL rounds is enough to obliterate spawn doors on at least 3 -man heroic scaling
tank type enemies excepted, of course
iirc weapon damage scales spec weapons
is what you'd think, but when we tested it, the GL was an exception
but I'm not sure if that was just range shenanigans, since I didn't have time to live-test on actual enemies
thing is other bullet-based spec weapons scaled aas you'd expect with red, just fine in the range

Slapping it on OD works remarkably well, w/a ceska wicked backpack.
the trick is to make sure that you are using the right talents on your guns, and avoiding named/exotic guns entirely.
If you use it with Gunner, you can use Banshee Pulse to proc your bleed bullets when you run out.
if you got say cheese with the striker or crusader shield you can probably get your bleed bullets that way as well, as long as you kill them while they're blinded XD
unless, of course you're using LMG then forget the shield say cheese bit
Say Cheese is really fun, honestly, I've been slapping Zealot on the LMG variant and if you thought you were unkillable before, you can wear the Amaru headband and just be rambo.
bonus style points if you use Foam Chem as your other skill, so you can spawn-trap everyone.

Chameleon is just bad in general.
Better off just using something like an SMG9 with Killer
Chameleon is an AR that doesn't benefit from any advantages of an AR (Bad at range, awful handling) that behaves like an SMG also without any of the advantages (Innate 21% CHC and better close range)
I'm using this what I have.
And i'm giving you the advice you'll get in here, nobody will recommend a build for Chameleon when Police M4, Famas, F2000, Lexington and St Elmos exist.
And all of those are infinitely better
And I have none of them so I'll have to use what I have for now
Then my advice is this: Farm another AR, it will take 5 minutes to get a better one than the Chameleon (Exotics aren't automatically better)
just farm countdown on challenging with AR as targeted loot; it's easy and by sheer volume of item drops you'll get either a good high-end (aka the gold coloured items) drop or an exotic like St. Elmo. Use the countdown credits to buy named item or exotic caches, decent chance for good item.
Essentially this countdown farming method is probably the fastest way to get near god roll items
There only a very few builds that are weapon specific generally most DPS builds are generic.
Simple answer is Strikers. But you will learn that Chameleon has a few limitations vs other choices.
I know one best player run with backbone, Overdog, HH, 2 HS and turmoil. He carry us with 5D. Pretty fun watching him blow up everything.

I think that is what makes Division 2 better than The Division. In The Division there is really only like 3 guns that you seriously use for DPS. You got The House, LWM4/LVOA-C and the Skill build stat stick. Division 2 there are plenty of options to choose from and different archetypes within the classes

I mean I have been using a lot of Rifles on my Tipping Point build because once you stack that up Rifles are insane DMG. So maybe going from a Baker's Dozen or LWM4 to the Chameloen has skewed my view of good handling

I was playing around with Scorpio the other night and it is rounds fired not pellets hit which kind of makes me think it is nothing more than a stat stick in this game

Crit chance is too low. Don't rely on Coyotes to buff for 10% all the time.
Settling around 55% will give much more and allow you to also use the 25% CHD buff without losing too much
what is the chd buff also i got my crit chance to get to 55% and thats without max watch too
When enemies are within 10m, Coyotes doesn't give any CHC buff, it gives 25% CHD only.

Gun again is down to preference although there are some that are mathematically better its marginal in most cases (IWI Negev and GR9 are my favourites)

Good morning! I loved Retaliation mode, but despite trying several builds, I simply can't do Retaliation in Heroic mode alone. I think there should be a matchmaking option for Retaliation mode.
well, sadist is for bleeding targets so probably OD

call for backup or matchmake for free roam, tell whoever joins that you're doing retaliation, then only do you trigger retaliation

Amplifies damage to bleeding targets by 30%, since everything and everyone will be bleeding. Its a 100% up time after first OD proc
Yes, this option of asking for reinforcement is what many are doing to be able to play this mode, but the bad thing is that many, when they realize it is retaliation, they leave, meaning the ideal would be to have the matchmaking option since the mode is made for cooperation.

They have their uses, but can all be happily replaced with High end.
A high end Police M4 with Killer, for example, will do far more damage than the Elmos. But the Elmos has the advantage of innate 15% CHC and 15%CHD and built in CC
Also this, but it makes up for lower damage with insane CC, very useful for Solo play

You need Dttooc on all weapons for third attribute, except LMGs which have CHC normally.

Personally I tend to run pressure point as it's basically always on and also works against robotics if you have the emp sticky as one of your skills. Others have higher damage potential if you play into their strengths though.

Virtuouso is in a bad state. It needs longer buffs and a more stable damage bonus. It felt great during the season it was introduced, but that season drastically increased the buffs involved.
You are better off with HHF, Hotshot, or a different type of high end exotic build
I do not care what "I'm better off using" I just wanna know what other weapons and exotics work well with it

you just need to kill to get those bonuses
Long range and short range get the best damage buffs with Virtuoso. iirc (admittedly that was the season where the modifiers revolved around making versatile work)
Hence why at the moment single shot weapons that are both long and short range are best.
Single shot high damage MMRs and non auto rifle like the 1886, and a secondary like a shotgun that has high damage like the Thorn.
Still, you are trying to push a very heavy boulder up a very steep hill.
TBH if you want to use figure it out. Most weapons don’t have specific build for it.

@vivid shard My suggestion on a build with Virtuoso would be a Chain killer, Gift or Providence backpack with vigi. Both rolled Headshot damage weapon handling. Roll headshot damage on everything else except the weapons.
As for the weapons. Try a White Death, shroud, or 1886 with determined(Determined is broken and highly controversial) or rifleman, and for a shotgun try the Thorn, Sweet Dreams, Scorpio, or any other high damage shotgun that has either pummel or brazen. Shotguns and MMR/Rifles give the biggest buffs of 40% on kill.
On the weapons try to roll Damage to targets out of cover on the weapons themselves.

the core idea is to position yourself well to get kills on both long range and short range. think of it like 1/2 hunter's fury and 1/2 hotshot/striker/insert generic mid-long range build here. you have to get kills from both of these ranges to benefit from virtuoso the most.

Yeah, Weapon damage through red cores and added weapon damage is already high on an all red build. Ceska would allow you to increase the crit chance to 60% and roll other mods towards crit damage.
Strega is crit starved also
Since Nego is part of a gear set, it is often needing as much crit damage to make it viable.
