He goes through a dirt path off road through a forest, which is odd for a entrance for a town. Once he gets there he sees some of the residents and then goes to the banner. Basically the hn2 beta (if you've played that) plays out. He investigates every citzen finds out their unique secrets and ties it all back the museum where Aaron is supposedly being held. Quentin breaks into the attic of the museum to free Aaron only to find out he's not real! It was all a trap. It's just. cardboard cutout. Then the guest gets him

Then for the ending, and this is just a theory, but Quentin would eventually find his way back to the barn, guest breaks in, gets Quentin, and puts Quentin in a timeloop where Quentin was always the missing journalist. Quentin is looped back to the early days, changes his name to Norman Darby, and goes through what we through in the books. Which is why he knows things that haven't happened yet. Then years later Norman probably dies of old age and Quentin arrives back to town as the loop goes in forever
