The kids plan on getting 4 unique parts for their car from 4 different areas of the park (Race/waterpark, Wild west, spooky mansion and observatory) they do get them all, bur they cut the mansion from the game. So in the ending they have all 4 parts but we never actually get them.

(For context for the two people who don't know the base of the theory was that Ted almost succeeded in saving his family from death using the time loops but despite Ted's best efforts all he could do is delay they're deaths, the base was originally used to explain the Date changes between the Books and Games (1996/1997 for example) but it actually can explain everything odd with the HN lore (and hopefully will be able to explain whatever the frick they did to the lore in AS away))
