- they have something to throw on the ready so they don't have have to go and pick up something when someone has been caught
2.the slingshot has better range that throwables so she can free someone from the neighbour/ shoot the neighbour from a distance
- she just generally fun to use

Scary is decent at 1, but if you aren't using items (and to make this simple I'll say this won't count using items, only abilities,) you can die pretty easily. You are pretty much glass when there are multiple kids in a room and your out of stamina. Scary really depends on having kids spread out.
Scary is, again, decent at 2. He can use traps which have a 50/50 chance of actually working and fooling kids. They can also pretend to be a kid trapped using the mask and fool someone into helping them by getting stuck. Again, decent.
3 is, again decent. He has rage which is only good/useable if you are in combat. Mask isn't good anymore because there are so many ways to check if someone is disguised.
Now for clown
For 1, he's really good. He can use his smoke bomb if he's trapped in a bad situation. He can also use his transformation thing to run away.
For 2, he's good. Again, smoke bomb easily keeps people away, unless a kid can tank the damage and get through. He can also blind kids when they're freed from his grasp.
For 3, they're good. Again, smoke bomb, and using the transformation to get around can literally make you a god in taking down a group of kids.
I would do butcher but I don't think I've played enough of him to fully understand him
