the penalty is a system in game that activates if you leave a game when you aren't a spectator or if the neighbor is in the game. you can only queue up with other players who also left a game until you get through a normal match i believe

they improved the box spamming fix by making it so you cant immediately grab items that hit windows or other players, so its almost entirely fixed
