Silly too, since they're people. They could have every reason to open up Discord. Doesn't at all mean they will talk or that there's gonna be news.

Due to procedural nature of the game.
Plan is that all events happen due to AIs decisions. So, it can be slightly (or vastly) different depending on circumstance.
So cutscene are physically impossible. Cutscene shows only one way of how events should happen. It's not the case for HN3.
