Mhm, I definitely think tB are behind the drastic change of HN1 though, while there isn’t anything to back it, I doubt the team at that time would change the entire concept of the game for a parkour and funky puzzle game (Since it’s obvious that change was for it to be more of a kid focused game).

Anyways one big thing that I felt was lacked in HN2 was the use of highlights and UI to assist and make the game more polished with the quality of life, HND is a good example with highlighting objects and showing usage that HN3 could have:

As much as I’d want him to release it I still feel it’s a bad move, a common contributor to the games getting compared so much is because the builds before the FG are always treated like the FG or sometimes people like them more. While I’d understand why they would release the builds to stay as open with development, they can still stay open with it by showcasing as much of the prototype as they need to without making it public.

If they do release it I think it should be a sign up and limited chance to get access for it, if you get access it would be available for a short amount of time.

Just to set your expectations right, the prototype that is going to be presented is not a demo or alpha that is refined for public. It's literally internal prototype that we personally used to test basic mechanics. It's not going to be ported to consoles as there is no need for that. It's just a small internal tool, basically. I will explain what it is in devlog.

I feel like the problem with its recognition, is that it led to a lot of expansions to the story that weren't even necessary

The game being recognized to a wider audiences, really did lead the devs expanding the franchise with a story that just doesn't make sense or doesn't lead to anywhere to what the story is primarily set at
