What I did was the following gone over the modules took notes of the buzzwords, protocols, commands, groups of things ( searching directiories, user managment etc. ) and every day I just try to learn more and expand thoose areas. Note I realized this is a process and not something you can just do in a few days so easy money make coffee practice patience and try to learn something new every day. What I also did bought exam vouchers for A+ Net+ so I have like a concerete goal for my studying and I wanna get atleast decent in thoose two areas since they will be much needed for further htb understanding

For some things, you still have to use Windows, so keeping that in mind I suggested dual boot. Also, Windows already uses a lot of RAM, and if you run a virtual machine on top of it, it becomes even heavier. So considering all this, I just suggested trying dual boot.

Not really. Linux malware is more difficult to write because of how Linux functions internally. It doesn't have apis like windows and processes don't share memory.

For stuff like process injection you either read or overwrite a process's memory which is kinda unsafe.

There's also bpfs in Linux which are like kernel modules but you have to be memory safe and can't write to kernel memory with them. With kernel modules you do get write access to kernel memory but it's kinda unsafe depending on what you do I think

You can do some neat stuff with eBpfs tho like hooking into Pam and seeing plaintext credentials from ssh and sudo
