It's basically a roleplay group. For many people, the group is almost like another game. Your rank and progress on the community is kinda like leveling up and it feels good to be successful in these kinds of groups. That said, I massively struggle with that. I find it hard to even play DND as role playing isn't for me, but it is really enjoyable for a lot of people. It's the same thing as of you joined a server that was based on roleplaying as viking or elves... They just base it on a military system which blends well with the military themes of games like halo and cod.

Okay I have a theory, if you haven't played in a while then you are populated into lower ranking teams regardless of your current rank

Because I found that after an hour or so of bad teams, I started ending up on good teams and it's kind of stayed that way all day
