I personally haven't had an issue with MnK on Infinite. It's not a big deal to remap a few commands. I have things like melee on my mouse anyways so I always remap that and a couple other things

controller is the winner on halo so far, "I went through Halo Tracker and gathered accuracy stats for top 100 players in the KBM / Controller only playlists - If the players had played any game in the alternative playlist (not crossplay) I did not include them. For 50% Percentile players I found the top of the leaderboard Platinum 6 players and pulled their data as well following the same idea of discounting players who had played in the other playlist.
- Worth noting that Plat 6 players stats are less reliable as these players might be of a higher skill but just haven't played enough games etc.
Difference in median accuracy
16.4% between Top 100 KBM & Controller players.
12.3% between 50th Percentile KBM & Controller players.
Interestingly there was only a 3.1% difference between the Top 100 KBM & 50th Percentile Controller players"

I personally really like watching the matches because the actual aim doesn't matter in a game like this, this isn't counter strike where the person with the best aim and flicks wins outright, it's about strategy and critical decision making and I'm so tired of people complaining about aim assist when you literally have your whole arm to aim with on PC.

as a person that tends to switch input for different games stick with what you feel most comfortable with. if you are good on mnk don't go switching over for no reason because you'll need to start learning aiming and muscle memory all over again and in the time it takes you to get to your old level you could have improved on your old input already

@knotty canyon If your excuse is "Aim-Assist" isn't as strong as previous Halo titles, then you've never played most of those titles. Go back and play those games, not just on "MCC" but rather the original console games. Just strafe side to side and stare straight at an enemy and watch the lock. Once you do that then you can compare the relativity in strength of Aim-Assist previously versus now. You can literally go and watch Halo 3 and it seems like there's hardly nothing in comparison to Infinite.
Also to say Halo is meant to be played on Console is a joke. Combat Evolved was originally intended to be released on Windows/MacOS first. Even the "original" halo games if you've heard of those, were suppose to be PC games. Aim-Assist wasn't even a relevant topic back then, you never heard debates of Aim-Assist or anything lmao nor have you heard of how "strong" it is versus older series. So quit the cap. There's already chart statistics released on the huge disparity in accuracy. Even Snipedown and numerous other Halo pros admitted that if Aim-Assist was removed, let alone NERFED, they'd be garbage or in the case of "nerfed" at least balanced enough to see KBM pros.

Halo is meant for controller. Ce didnt launch on pc because its original formula changed. It was supposed to be third person as well pretty sure. Halo has always been 98% console and you cant even argue that

imo consoles have lacked the hardware (graphics cards, display refresh rates etc) to compete with PCs regarding esports. That hasn't changed. What we're experiencing here is an established console franchise making big investments in their esports ecosystem while simultaneously mixing competitive player populations (xbox, steam, windows store) that use vastly different input methods and processing capabilities. On a personal level, I very much want the HCS to succeed and it will be interesting to see how this all plays out. But as a fairly recent console-to-pc convert, I KNOW mkb is a superior input and it chafes something fierce to see how handicapped it is in this game.

I don't think Infinite's ranking system works the same as H5.
I've lost games in Infinite and still increased in rank, something impossible in H5.
Be careful, that's against their ToS as well.
