I’m more curious why Ft Worth was different than the rest unless it was a test for next year. I see both sides though. Sucks to be done so early if you get fourth in pool play. However it costs more I assume for more games and if you get fourth in pool play, do you really deserve to keep playing?

There is a difference between Ft Worth and Worlds: the amount of money. Even losing in PP in Worlds is good money (5k, that's a 7-8 place in a Major). So there is that.
Then, for the competitive side : its not because you were 4th that you don't deserve to continue. I could be a bad day or poor pool play. its still 1 more day of playing too, because being there for only 1/2 days [with the media day] is not great at all (even if with side tournements or FFA, you can do a little bit)
Lastly for the organizers : yes, not eliminating in PP is more money indeed

I would be more moderate. And consider multiple factors for the decrease in the number of team in HCS.
What can't agree is "pro are leaving". IN Na (other region are totally different), its not the pro who are leaving but the amateur, competitive but not pro player.
The thing is that amateur players only play because 1) they want to play 2) they like to play. And Amateur players tends to be borred more easely then pro player (for natural reason, no judgement at all and its a normal situation).

After taking this into account. There is the 1) the real state of Infinite 2) the state of infinite that is say on social media 3) the feeled state of Infinite 4) the image of the state of Infinite

Responding to each of those point would be too long. Because all of them are complex in nature and some are too deep . (Pls do not try)

I remember a lot of pros hating on H2 and H3 during that time and always talked about Shadowrun being the best and most competitive FPS. I always take the opinion of the pros with a grain of salt as their version of Halo and everyone else’s version is wildly different.

Well, first, Halo fan are reactionary on changes on Halo. So going BR.. not a lot are going to follow. Secondly, the market of BR in itself, and in esport, is full and not the same as the fans of Halo

The notoriety of Halo is worth almost nothing on BR communities.

I'm not kiding. At this stage he's just complaining for complaining. The HWC is in less then one month

He isn’t. As soon as the format for Ft Worth, SLC, and Worlds was announced, the players and orgs all agreed the Ft Worth format was the best. That is the one time 4th place didn’t get eliminated from pools. Teams got more series. Teams that travel from other regions in particular benefit as they have to travel quite a bit away. That’s his reasoning and solution. Make Worlds like Ft Worth.

I agree with HCS on one thing about it. From a competitive standpoint, going 0-3 in pools should eliminate you from the competition. But outside of that competitive aspect, everything else makes sense to change it.
