I found that video to be rather in bad faith. I don't really get mad at the double standards, there are reasons why that exists — some reasonable, others aren't. I often try to engage in conversations, attempting to bring more nuance, perhaps someone might read it from an impersonal perspective to see it. Though I have to admit, sometimes straightforward and impersonal language can sound condescending, but it's a comment section, I'm not there to please people.

The double standard itself is indeed really frustrating. Bungie is a company that tried to move on from Halo multitudes of times, but it would be disingenuous to claim they didn't cultivate such a cult following. 343's attempt at unifying the canon is admirable, regardless of the outcome. I find it humour, seeing them claim 343's canon is 'bad' because it is messy, yet they find themselves in a comfortable position accepting Bungie's fragmented canon as some sort of Halo bible. I do find that frustrating, alas there's only very little you can do in a comment section.

Thanks for the reply, I honestly just don’t engage in the conversation because it’s futile. Any sort of debate or even discussion logic goes out the window, ignoring replies and moving the goal post. A couple days ago I did someone the service of explaining what death of the author is and why they’re misusing it, and all they did was simply ignore it and declare the discussion was over. I just hope people like that stay in the minority (I do believe a huge chunk of the fanbase recognizes 343 as canon in some capacity), mainly because they reject the idea of modern halo all-together. People like Master Cheeks are even worse, straight up racist and anti-Semitic. Luckily, these people in particular (the toxic ones) are among the older generation of whom are stuck in past ideals and tradition.

Yeah makes sense. Def look more into it but the points that you mentioned there def are debatable. The story is very well written and the relationship drama isn't superficial, its realistic for the events of the game and was necessary to explore for their characters. The balance between miles and Peter were very good too, they were each following their own stories and their combined story really well with good balance and they each kept their own unique set of gameplay mechanics which made the game alot more fun too imo. Personally it's my favourite of all three games but that's just my take on it if it's any help lmao

Go to the "Armor Hall" tab
Click on any of the cores
Go to the little coating wheel and click on it
Then you'll have to scroll a bit, but once you find the coating there, just click on it, and there should be an option to view the bundle, and you can get it from there

(All coatings are sorted alphabetically within their rarity too, so it'll be in the C's of the gold rarity coatings)
