As many have you have noticed, there's been an uptick in DM spam/raiders joining and hitting many of you up with scam DMs.
This should go without saying but
DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS IN STRANGE DMs
That said, we're aware of the on-going (seemingly incessant) raiders and if you get a DM from one, we ask that you report it directly to Discord for action:
You are free to DM @calm seal with the user ID of the scammer account so the mods and I can make sure we ban it but it's kind of an on-going stream right now. We are doing what we can to stop them but we are aware and doing what we can.

Some server changes:
🔹 Introducing #1076327824924872755, a place to show off all things creative! Spartan drip, Forge maps, montages, etc.
🔹 #1075989764026675210 is now a forum-based section allowing for tags and a better view of current issues impacting other players
🔹 Constructive feedback for Halo Infinite can be dropped in #1039633978841374720
🔹 Number of Voice Channels have been reduced in favor of Dynamic VC creation with the broad ability to control who joins and interacts with your VC
🔹 See #lfg-and-voice-chat for the how-to
🔹 New #roles! Are you okay with notifications? Grab the "Pings Okay" role. If you'd prefer to not have notifications, grab the "No Pings" role
🔹 #rules-and-guidelines have gotten a small update, please give them a read through as well

Get your poetry hats on, Spartans! We’re celebrating this year’s Día de Muertos with a unique contest: A literary calavera contest, hosted by @crisp flame and @void hazel, featuring everyone’s favorite characters from the Halo universe.
These are special, four-to-sixteen-line poems where the personification of death “takes” someone to the afterlife, often using what they’re known for in a satirical, exaggerated way. The intention is to honor our favorite Halo characters, their feats, accolades, and unique personalities with these poems.
For creative liberties, we will have two categories: One category in English, and one category in Spanish.
For example:
Lord Hood was looking down the command deck.
His eyes on Master Chief and a black-hooded wraith.
- “Master Chief, you mind telling me what you’re doing with Death?”
- “Sir, the fight has finished.” - He said with his last breath.
The contest will be running starting today, <t:1760824800:D>, through <t:1762588800:D>, with judges announcing the result up to two days afterwards.
Three calaveras will be selected on both categories by the judges, and the winners will each receive a Fire Unicorn nameplate for Halo Infinite!

Whether you know your way around words or just want to try something new, this is a great chance to get creative with the Halo characters you’ve known for so long with a cultural tradition that, maybe is new, or maybe you’ve known before.

Hora de ponerse creativos, Spartan! Este año celebraremos el Día de Muertos con un concurso único: Un concurso de calaveras literarias, organizado por @crisp flame y @void hazel, con todos los personajes favoritos del universo de Halo.
Estos son poemas especiales de cuatro hasta dieciseis líneas donde la personificación de la Muerte/la Parca “se lleva” a alguien al más allá, usualmente de formas o con frases por las que la persona es conocida, con un tono de sátira o exageración bromista. La intención es honrar a nuestros personajes favoritos de Halo, sus logros, frases, y personalidades únicas con estos poemas.
Para ayudar a las libertades creativas, manejaremos dos categorías: Una en Español, y otra en Inglés.
Ejemplo:
Atriox veía al horizonte, solo el Arca podía contemplar.
Su nave, su gran ejército, todo se lo habían venido a arrebatar.
“Solo me queda la vida, nada más me pueden quitar”.
Pero en ese momento, la muerte otra opinión le vino a dar…
“A mi no me llevas en cadenas, de esas me liberé ya.
El Covenant me hizo esclavo, pero mi fuerza me salvará.
Soy Atriox, Jefe de Guerra de los Desterrados, y nadie por mi decidirá”.
Más la Muerte sonrió callada, y apuntó hacia la galaxia:
El Jefe de Guerra supo a donde en específico apuntaba.
Y se llevó al gran líder a donde el resto de su especie descansa.
El concurso durará desde hoy, 18 de Octubre de 2025, hasta el 8 de Noviembre de 2025, con los jueces anunciando a los ganadores hasta dos días después.
Tres calaveras serán seleccionadas en ambas categorías por los jueces, y los ganadores recibirán la placa y emblema del Unicornio de Fuego para Halo Infinite.

We're aware that there's been an increase in spam DMs from bot/hijacked accounts.
You are welcome to DM the info, preferably including a userid of the spammer, and a screenshot our ModMail bot @calm seal. You don't need to spam up #general-chat or ask if others are experiencing it.
In the meantime, I'd also recommend possibly closing your DMs and also under no circumstances should you click links from untrusted sources.
Mods and I are working on cleaning up the accounts so please hang tight. 
Edit – If you report it via ModMail and your thread is closed, please don't open it back up as that slows us down a bit. Please trust that we're grabbing IDs as fast as we can.
Sorry, one more thing. When you report these accounts please be sure to include their user ID. If you aren't sure how to find it, please refer to this guide from Discord:
