You know how creatine doesn't dissolve well in water no matter how much you shake it up, leaving you with a gritty drink?
Well, turns out that having it in my pack strapped to my motorcycle, all the vibrations from the engine/road mixes it up super well on my commute! If it's not completely dissolved, it's almost making it much easier to down it!

I haven't watched it yet but just this statement alone makes a lot of sense story wise.
The empire was built on top of the Galactic Republic. It basically took all the established governments and systems and transferred power from being already aligned and organized into one powerful hand.

The rebellion came in and fractured that. To topple the empire meant chaos and rebuilding. Making the New Republic nothing more than broken pieces trying to regroup, gather, and make new with limited resources. Different leaders all needing help trying to figure out how to pull everything together from the mess left behind.

The New Republic being incompetent is an inevitable symptom of that.
