i had a lot of issues with the melee in the begnning and they did some fixing up on that. i suggest you try testing changing some settings,sensitivity etc if that could help

You should be allowed to have fun with what you're working on. But if it's something revolved around something pre-existing, and it has a huge fanbase that loves it, you can't just do whatever you want willy nilly.

That's a one way trip to aggravation from multiple parties.

With adaptations, obvious cuts and alterations need to be made. But they have to make sense.

It's not one to one, but it still tells the same story.

Many people will dismiss it if it's in a bad state during the first month of release. Games like Fallout 76 still receive hate to this day. The game is in perfect condition now, but it will never reach the level of No Man's Sky.

So the roadmap for those updates was already set in place way before budget or resources were an issue due to its paid nature. A free-to-play live service depends entirely on active players playing regularly. This is not so much the case for a paid game.
