CE LASO is the worst of them all
Worse than Halo 2 in some areas

I legit couldn't do Assault on the Control Room and Keyes
I had to get a friend do the respective glitches on those 2 missions to complete them easily

I don’t think I’m ever gonna go for LASO anyways. I like to have fun when I play Halo. I’m not really that good at it. I just did it on easy and normal to see if I could, then I ragequit Halo 3 after forgetting to quit the menu when I died because I got distracted. And I haven’t tried since and probably never will.

LASO has the saving grace of quitting and resuming to continue from your last checkpoint that makes it doable

Yes, LASO is frustrating and it sucks
But I went with the mindset that I only had to complete each mission and section once, only once

In MCC you get the achievement just for picking up the skull but in the original game the skull didn’t activate once you picked it up. It teleported you to the ground and then you had to fight 7 waves of elite ultras (with each wave having one more elite than the last) some of which had unique weapon combos.

There is a secret skull in Cortana from Halo 3
it gives you no achievements or unlocks anything, but it gives you a Spartan Laser for the next mission

It’s one of the hardest things I’ve done in Halo

You can’t leave the area. If you do you get teleported back and spawn with only a plasma pistol

Manipulating checkpoints so you can try multiple times and figuring out a way to survive it is really hard. Some of the elites have beam rifles. If you think sniper jackals are bad, sniper elite ultras are way worse

Well in MCC there’s no need because you get the achievement for picking up the skull. But in the original Halo 2 the skull only activated after you defeated all the elites.

There’s a lot of misinformation about it which doesn’t help. Basically once you get the jackals to spawn on sniper ally, the skull has a one in seven chance of spawning.

All the stuff you may hear about having to go through checkpoints in certain ways isn’t true

Another thing is, when possible try pieces on in Armor Hall instead of trying stuff on in the Shop because the Shop won't always preview a piece on all cores for you. However, sometimes a Shop piece is not in Armor Hall so there's no choice.

i feel like I get some really inconsistent solid connection matches in this game. Desync seems to happen quite often. This match, I felt like all my shots were valid and connecting. I was getting 4-5sk with the Bandit. Other matches, it feels like it's taking 7-8 shots, because of desync.

in my experience i get the best quality matches in the early afternoon, up till around 4pm ish at the latest - after that point it's just all downhill from there, no matter what the in-game ping indicator says. late nights are also a total wash
