I'm just gonna throw a thought out there: Marking targets in FFA. What if you could mark, and so long as what you marked was an enemy with a power item or objective everyone would see the ping. So the player with OS, Camo, or a Power Weapon. Or if other FFA modes make a return like Juggernaut you could mark them. At least as a custom option it would open up some possibilities. And since everyone sees it, the target also knows when they get pinged and can prepare/adjust accordingly.

For me it was partly that it didn't feel like any of my skills were relevant to it. Instead of a medium-paced game about mastery a simple movement system, aim, strafe, shoot, call-out, and positioning. H5 is a game where expert button-combo timings and moving as fast as possible never sitting still for a second is key. I like pressing less buttons to move around, the fewer the better. H5 requires fighting game levels of pressing several buttons all with perfect timing all in a row to optimize movement. And positioning changed from taking up powerful map locations to rotating around like a madman.

There will be 0 reg issues all game but sometimes I will find a afk guy that just refuses to take shots or melee hits while they are not moving at all then suddenly they will take damage then die (maybe)

I play on Gigabit internet and I dont have packet loss so I have no idea whats happening with that buts its consistently on the people who are afk and only them

the game used to not show them at all until they were able to play but that changed in Season 3

They are real, they just can't load in. It's been around longer than season three.
On their screen they might still be in the main menu with the server loading bar still showing but they never load into the match. So in game you'll see their Spartan just doing nothing. Then when they disappear and die on your end, they'll have something say "failed to connect to server".

Honestly just go behind Anchor 9 or go far out and take potshots at the phantoms from the sides with the missiles

Well that's part of the issue, apparently the majority of onyx players are controller and accuracy stats are higher in controller at both 50th percentile and top 100, and not even by a small margin like 10%+, they also removed the red reticle when over an enemy from m+k for some reason?

yeah, i find the keyboard great for SWAT. I have ended up with 35+ kills a game. However on any other game mode i find myself missing lots of shots. I think that due to halo being a more slower shooter compared to other shooters.

Infinite didnt have red reticle on launch for Mouse and keyboard. It was stealth added when they gave us magnetism and aim slowdown friction

On object entered area. Check if player. If true. It counter is 0. Do the custom event to extend bridge. And then add 1 to counter.

On object exit area. Check if player. If true. If counter is 1. Retract bridge custom event. Then remove 1 from counter

You know what I miss? The old 5 second respawn timers. Personally, I think they should be 3 or 4 seconds, but it was still a lot better compared to today.

Everyone says it's good to have 8 second respawn timers because it's valuable information. No thanks--I would rather be in the thick of battle more often instead of spectating. If I really wanted valuable knowledge from watching somebody, I would go on Twitch.

People with the opinion that 8 second respawn timers are a good thing is the reason why infinite died.

Yeah, nup. There needs to be a penalty for dying. Or the better way of thinking about it is a reward for the other team. Especially in objective games. I think the current 8 and 10 second timers are good.

Most halo players think that dying is a punishment. It's just a natural thing that happens in an FPS game. The reality is that those people don't want too much action going on or that it's easier to play in the objective game by having all 20 plus seconds to yourself.

Previous games in the past have had 5 second timers. Reducing one or two seconds wouldn't even make a difference except make the game more exciting and actually playable instead of just being watchable.

8 to 10 seconds is not that long.

One. Take the time to reflect on your life (death) choices. If it's beginning to annoy you - chances are you are dying too often.

Two. The opposition deserve some "me" time with the objective.

Three. There needs to be some quality bagging time. Five seconds is too short. We don't want sloppy rushed efforts.

How can I do a private match with just my friends?

I feel that players just don't like opposition and would rather only deal with one person with the most amount of time in between. With the respawn timers, it's more of a sleep simulator than a game. Then again, the game itself was slept on by many when it arrived, especially with that horrible campaign.

4 seconds would honestly be the sweet spot (literally half of Infinite's timer). If I really wanted to spectate, I'd be watching people on Twitch.

Pretty much every objective game is essentially Slayer with a side quest.

The time to play the objective is when you have the numbers.

It's got nothing to do with not wanting to "face" the opposition.
