Hi! The tiebreaker is the join time. So whoever joined the room first will have the advantage. However, it counts only the last entrance.

When using tablet and pen and trying to do small gestures/lines, brush tool get stuck and doesn't make a line until you make big enough movement. this same issue isn't present with mouse, you can do as small marks as you like. I don't know how to explain it better. 😅

Small circles are with mouse, up there is same shape with a pen. this becomes big issue, when you draw a character which isn't size of whole screen. Making eyes or nose is quite impossible without pain :D

You just need to make a server role called

GarticMod

The role doesn't need any special permissions it's just the name the bot recognises. I suggest making it a reaction role. That way anyone on your server can use the skips and hints without having to make your server less secure by making them an actual admin or giving them kick permissions.

Hello everyone. I am a little concerned about the ads being shown in the game. We intermittently use gartic phone and today we had a series of full page ads that were takeovers of the screen. The only way to get back to the game was to re-click the link to rejoin the game. I am not certain if these ads were malicious, or if the "scroll to get back to the game" functionality is broken, but it was a huge net negative. I just came to report this, because it feels like it would be harmful to the experience for players.

This is in chrome, on a desktop computer.

As I could not replicate the same situation, I would like you to reproduce the bug again and save a HAR file, which will contain your session's ad requests. Here's a tutorial from Google explaining how to obtain this file: https://support.google.com/admanager/answer/10358597?hl=en. Please follow those steps once the issue happens again. Oh, also take screenshots that show the ads taking the screen.

By reviewing the ad requests, we can examine the exact type of ad and advertiser causing this and further report them to Google.

I think I got what you meant. Depending on the mode you are playing, the interaction right before doesn't fit the "natural" continuation, so we must go back a few actions to make it work. Here's an example using Normal Mode:

Drawing 1

Prompt 2

Drawing 2 (empty)

Prompt 3 (your turn to write)

If it's your turn and you're writing Prompt 3, but Drawing 2 came empty, the game will exhibit Drawing 1 for you, ignoring Prompt 2 (as you can't see a prompt to write another).

I hope it's clearer now. Oh, and about the suggestions, there is a cooldown to avoid spamming the same suggestion.

If you want them to use all commands, create a role, name it GarticMod (no additional permissions needed) and give to them. But keep in mind that they'll be able to start a game or end an ongoing one at anytime

they cause major lag spikes

and im prettty sure the longer you are doing one drawing the worse the spikes get

as i didnt have the problem of lag from it within the first hour of drawing

but if you go to #🎥│gartic-animations the lag just disconnected me from the server

[i was on 20 hours for that drawring but a total of just over a day for total animation]

it may have something to do with data being stored in a cache of what ads ive seen or something [just my assumption]

Usually, the room owner can choose the "visible room" setting in the room settings. When the room owner deactivates the "visible room" feature, the room code will not be visible in "search" and the room will automatically be set as a private room.

Private room: it can only be entered by using the link from the room owner. You can play with your friends when you don't want to be in public rooms.

My device model is CPH2125, It's ColorOS V12.1, Android 12 and I'm using Firefox, the version is specified in this screenshot. This problem is still happening to me and also my browser freezes along with the game, making me restart my browser each time it breaks

Unfortunately, I don't have the exact same device here. But I ran a few tests with a newer device from the same brand (Oppo) using your same Firefox version. I had no issues like freezing.

The struggle may be related to your browser and device. Try clearing the browser cache, opening more memory space on your device, and playing with a different browser. Please let me know the results of the tests

i found out one has an iphone SE 2022 (3rd gen?) iOS 17.5.1. They were using Safari. I'm trying to find out from the other user. pretty sure they tried both chrome and safari and an ipad which i'll find out which version.

The other device was iPad pro but the misaligned cursor only happens in landscape mode. In chrome and safari. No ad blocker this time.

In user settings - Authorized Apps: Search for Gartic Phone and then "Deauthorize" it. If you have logged into the website with Discord already, you'll see two different, choose the one that has the most permissions. This should solve the problem.

Hi, I’ve been drawing on Gartic.io using the web version with my iPad and Apple Pencil. However, for the past month, there has been lag and stuttering when I draw with the Pencil on the Gartic.io website. When I draw with my finger, there are no issues at all. I’ve tested the Pencil in other apps, and it works perfectly fine, so the problem only occurs on the Gartic.io web page. I also noticed that I’m not the only one experiencing this issue; other users with styluses are facing the same problem. Is there anyone who can help or suggest a solution?

Hey! So, I tested a lot with the same iPad model you have but could not reproduce the same issue. I tried the app version, using Safari, and Google Chrome. Also, I didn't detect any other similar complaints. What I recommend is updating your browser app and checking if there is any setting on your iPad that might affect how some apps work with the pencil.

I tested the issue with different people and devices, and everyone experienced the same problem regardless of country or device.This proves that the issue is not just related to me but is caused by the website. The problem seemed to resolve itself for a few hours, but then it reappeared for everyone. However, I haven't had this issue for the last two days. So, the color picker is a native tool from the browser, not Gartic Phone. This tool has not been working on Opera GX for quite some time, as other developers have reported. For now, I recommend you play Gartic Phone using Chrome or another browser.

Yes, there are also some issues with Firefox. As far as I know, it doesn't have a built-in eyedropper tool, so it uses the native one from your OS. If you use Windows OS, unfortunately you won't have the eyedropper. If you use Mac OS, the color given will be slightly different from the one you picked. I recommend you use Google Chrome to play Gartic Phone

(my friend and I have tested it using our hands, s-pen and touchpad)

So me and a group of animators were trying to do a Gartic stream and when one of our friends left because he had class- the gartic game didn't recognize him leaving. We're thinking it had something to do with him using the same wi-fi as another player in the game. We were drawing for about 4 hours and really wanted to atleast see what we got done. So, not a bug. You must log in to use the chat. It's a requirement.

When kicking someone out, they can't come back for some time. I recommend you create a private room to play with your friends. The host can kick anyone in private rooms without needing the others to votekick. And as it will not be listed for others, only those with the link can join.

To make a private room, create a room and leave the Visible Room option off.

Hi guys! I've caught this tricky bug:
I have noticed that there have been several players recently complaining in the chat box about players who have left but they are still in the game room like afk player. I've been testing this bug and it's simply due to a method change in how to log out in the game. That applies to force closing the game, like close tab, close window or like win+alt+f4 (indigo color).
This bug does not exist if you use the normal method by exiting the game ('X' button, red color) without closing the tab.

Well, I don't think this is a bug. You should leave a room by clicking the 'X' button. That will tell the system that you actually want to leave. The game can hold your spot a little more in case you experience connection instability, so you don't be kicked autommatically and be able to get back once you're good.That might be what is happening. But overall, I recommend you always click the X to leave a room.

But still, we'll check if this is causing any issues

I think it should be more intuitive. Most people would just close the tab to leave the room. It's quicker and easier than to click the X before closing the tab. Being able to reconnect after stability issues is important, but I think it can and should be solved in a different way.
