what is the usual route/schedule of a GA show? is it just the show or are there more things to do after?

is it for this tour? i have all the set timings if you want those but if you mean in general, doors will open, opener will come on and then there will be a 30-45min gap usually and then the band play for about 1 hour 30 mins. after they go off stage the show is over, there’s no m&g. sometimes they’ll come out long after the show is over but it is never guaranteed and not every member will come out, and some venues don’t have the layout to allow people to wait

not much difference between them, they each have different tickets allocated to their presale but other than that theyll do the same thing - i'd imagine the discord one will have less people using it compared to their mailing list so you might have more luck with it, but shouldnt matter too much either way

Does anyone know if VIP tickets are usually about the same price between different venues

typically what happens is the VIP premium is a set price (for examples sake lets say $200) which is then tacked onto the price of the ticket at that venue! Using my local venue (the armory in mpls) as an example, the past few shows i've been to ive paid around $80 for a general admission ticket, so i would expect VIP to be around $280 for this show! so it very much just depends on the venue and how they price things, but you can expect the difference between standard and vip to be relatively ocnsistent

hopefully that made sense 😭

last summer i paid $160 for pit for the maryland show, and $380 (ouch) for 3rd row VIP at red rocks!

If you have trouble, just keep refreshing (or switching how you're buying once the website flags you as a bot)
After about 40 min or actively trying and losing it, I eventually got 2 standard tickets closeish to the stage! Thank God the standard tickets aren't much above 100$ after fees

Ive traveled a bunch by myself via public transit, plane, train, walking even. It gets less scary with practice nut can still be stressful. I by traveled by myself to see ga twice and it was worth it.

Also I have one of those birdie alarms cause venues will let me carry it in (unlike pepper spray and things like that)

You actually have to pull the top part off and it will make a loud noise and flash (where the button looking thing is). And to stop the noise you have to re- attach it. I’ve found the best way to not accidentally pull it is to put it in a pocket of my bag.

but i did go to franz alone with no one to meet me there and i still ended up having a pretty good time !!

I travel solo frequently and it does get easier with practice! A couple things that help me feel safe: staying aware of my surroundings and have an exit plan if I feel uncomfortable, also have a person who knows my plans and check in with them periodically. Flying is stressful! I try to eat a good meal before I fly and get a lil treat at the airport (fizzy water, special snack).

It’s also worth mentioning that traveling solo can be so fun! You can do whatever you want! Sleep in! Eat wherever and whenever you want! Talk to people or don’t! It’s great! Getting excited about that freedom also makes it less scary!
