Yeah my player ID is U-0gh9c80 off the dock and handheld is still a hit and miss. Ive used this controller over a year never any issues but last two seasons it has been. Dont have a orginal controller to try but handheld is pretty much the same can work sometimes and alot the time it dont

Hey @ripe swift do u know or think they will ever fix the glitches/bugs that the switch 1&2 is having like the map (background having shadown affects/glitching), loosing frames at some point when the switch 2 edition got released, (when it would not lose frames before) some cars having a thing sticking out under the car and some cars having a glitch animation in garage when opening the doors or putting them convertible etc, and now the new added car the ares panther having one front light turned off and the other turned on.(And then maybe get 4k on the switch 2 cause I still don't get why they didn't put it) Btw this will be my last time mentioning these bugs/glitches in the game cause I don't think they will ever fix them.

The problem of credits is really great. The rebalancing removes the cap but the frequency of high multiplier is low for races over 7k. And only 8 multipliers is a very low value compared to infinite. With several high end cars to upgrade for the events and the final stage, the drain of credits isn't balanced to the amount found in the event or in mp. Plz reconsider the rebalancing of credits..

I'm getting a lot of false notifications in the game of new things or things to claim.
I was able to verify these repeatedly:
- Error when claiming packs - notification stays on, or comes back on, even after I claim it; if I try to claim it after, I get an 'Error Purchasing Pack' - This is happening with:
- Sponsorships pack
- Free Pack
- GP Free Pack - in this case, sometimes by getting in I can see it was claimed already (I have the countdown), other times it show as not claimed yet, but if I try to claim after I get the error
- Frozen countdowns - countdown freezes at 0s; store does not refresh; it only refreshes after I restart the game - This is happening with:
- Legend Store refresh countdown,
- Spotlight Store refresh countdown
- Free Tickets countdown
- Completed SE stages get marked with green exclamation notification, as if they newly available - just annoying...
- Club reward notification from SE stages not open to me - impossible to know which stage, impossible to claim, why have notification?
Basically, now I have to
- keep checking free packs to figure out when they become available, and
- restart the game to force the refresh of store and tickets countdowns

I notice a lot of performance issues, there's stuttering, frame drops frequently, and one time my game got stuck for a second, I was jumping off a ramp, then it froze for a sec, thought it crashed again but didn't, also noticing a lot of pop in, like some track elements load in too late, also i'm using a regular switch (old model)

So far, the game drops frames hard on split screen, closing the game through the home menu literally apparently crashes the game for me, the game needs an option to customize bindings, game stutters a few small times on single player and I noticed a few background pop ins on maps. Major Problem! The game has had very frequent crashes and freezes since launch. Usually when the system enters sleep mode. After one of these crashes I re-entered the game and found my club leadership transfered and my name turned back to, Driver ####. This needs fixed as soon as possible and it's not just me. I think there's a issue where sometimes (mostly in handheld) the car locks in place and only accelerates and I can't steer it.
I have no joycon drift by the way.

Even very minuscule amounts of Drift (which you may not see right away) will cause this. Get compressed air, lift up the tiny rubber flap under the stick and spray it. This is common practice and should be done even if you dont have drift to prevent any future drift.

Hi! We played split screen earlier, the device is the regular Nintendo Switch, and sometimes the pro controller and the joycon don't respond to steering inputs, either with the D-pad or analog stick.

I think the team should give the option to cap the framerate at 30 or unlocked, like on PC. The unstable framerate makes for a jerky experience. It's not unplayable, mind you, it's just a bit distracting sometimes. This along with the other previously reported issues like glitching backgrounds, camera views not saving, UI bugs and engine sounds would make the game feel way more polished.
I am aware that the team is working on the issues, as well.

I have the same problem, that what ever I change my camera in settings in the beginning of a game its still steady. Also I have noticed that controller sensitivity resets to 50% time by time.

The way the error is given has a few variations.
- It could say "closing software" forever then freeze
- It could say "closing software" and then it would give you a black error screen "software was closed because of an error"
- it could not show any erorrs and freeze the switch
- if I open another game it may close it correctly and open the next game
Those are the ones I've experienced so far

hey @covert crown, adding to what Samurott encountered, any of these can also happen while browsing any webview elements of the OS, so for example - if you leave the game open and try to upload a photo/video from the album, visit a link from the News tab or just browse the eshop, the game may crash and either throw the error screen or just freeze the whole console. and yes, only asphalt does this sort of stuff
I may also add I'm using the revision model of the standard switch, not the old one

It might be a ram overload. I remember an indie game I played a while back have the same crashing issue upon closing/sleeping and this ended up being the problem.

ok, so the direction lock bug (left and right not working) just happends when i play with the two joy-cons mode, joycons in the switch, in the grip, or free hands, all the two joy-cons modes have the bug, im gonna test more

im not sure, but i think is the button for drift, i have to test more to be sure, but when im drifting, it happends a lot. (hand held)
and, with the drift button, sometimes i try to start a drift, but it gets canceled immediately… sometimes. (hand held and tv mode)

It looks like the AI crashed at the beginning of the spiral, but the track mistakingly placed it after the spiral.

The police cause the game to lag. Like one or two is fine, but some of the hunted missions i find myself needing to preform knockdowns to prevent framrate drops.

A bit of both, and it happens in spikes. When over six police cars are in view, the spike happens, and i find my inputs become off kilter with the stuttering frame rate

The game’s physics is broken, even worse so on Switch. My Lamborghini Centenario treats the ground after a barrel roll like it’s a trampoline and wrecks for no reason. Sometimes my car will land backwards after a ramp and stop completely. Please fix this, it’s starting to ruin the game for me.

analog stick would allow you to drift just slightly. At a moment we have digital input from left stick, so drifting is in max position even if you move the stick just a little bit.

My joycons are new and for some reason my car sometimes becomes unsteerable.
I've decided to use pro controller but I'm probably never use handheld.

Please fix the issue with the game coming back from being in standby. Every time I “reconnect” and finish a race, it just sits there and doesn’t give rewards. I have to force shutdown the game and restart the game.

@civic snow because of the poor MP server connection in China. I got 500Mbps download speed on my phone but only 4M on switch. Loading into MP often crashes my game so I have to restart the game with a penalty upon MP score which u will see us disconnected at the beginning of the game. Sometimes we disconnect conditionally during the game because of the poor server connection, and most of the time we flash as red ghosts hanging around because of the poor server connection as well. So u may suspect we somehow cheat by disconnecting to reach top club but u never know we play every single hour we could to contribute to our own club and fight against the poor connection.

About bad connection and red car. I am also thought that it would be nice to be a red car - nobody can knock you down and you can drive through other cars. I have rearly a bad connection, but once I noticed I got speed boost then I suddly appeared as red car.

I just had a hard crash. My Switch went into sleep mode and the game came back up frozen on a screen saying only Sync Error. It was frozen for a while on this screen so finally I pressed the home button, proceeded to close application by pressing X and my whole Switch froze. I couldn't do anything. Let it sit for a good 10min. I had to hold down the power button to do a hard shut down.
Also my progress is all lost that I made.

You can't put save data on an SD card. It's stays on the internal storage.

Hey @hasty prawn! This is what l think the SD card works with the switch. As you need more space for your switch, your game will download to the SD card if it dose not have enough space on your SD card but it your switch has enough space on it. It will download to your switch

@hazy lagoon your game is saved to your switch or to your SD card. You don’t need a online member ship to save your date. The game will be saved to your Switch or your SD card
Any game will download on to your SD card if you don’t have enough space on your switch

@hazy lagoon your game data is stored on the Nintendo account. Your account should be safe while the console's in warranty, so you should be able to re-log in your Nintendo account from any other console and have all your game data saved on that Nintendo Account.

i assume save data is saved on servers and console since switch version have offline mode support, but if you delete the save data it also deletes data stored in servers during sync process
tho don't quote me on that one, devs and CC could give you the right answer

@graceful musk Asphalt 9 is fully online, save data does not exist on your device (just as a cache for the few seconds after you open game and before sync, well on Switch the offline quick races too)
you need to care about your login options only, and write down your game ID

So when u play map daily is on but finish is right after big downward hill there's a long flat ramp with a flip on one side if you hit flat side ramp has good chance to 90 flip you on your head if you to flip side it does weird 360 flips @covert crown

ok, i think i know what's the problem with the game in switch, if i press left with the stick and right with the D pad, the car doesn't move neither left or right, so, all the joycons with the "drift" problem (joycon problem that send an input in a random direction without touching anything) will have issues playing the game.
so, add an option to disable the left stick, and the problem will be fixed.

But both cars are so slow and I can not scape from the cops 🚓 and bet the timeout.
I know the Mercedes Benz is more faster once I get the maximum upgrades but by the moment I have no reference to know which one is more faster.

This old glitch is not yet fixed in Switch? As you see it counts as crash and you spawn exatly at that spot again, before the finish line. It happened in American Extreme track 15 The Tunnel.
