Most I've seen in a lobby is 5. But if you are in the top 500 most races will have at least 1.
Most hackers are really, really bad. They have this crazy boost to their cars, but go the wrong way and crash all the time. The better ones are pretty hard to beat, but by that time they are on borrowed time.

Why are gl idiots? Have they actually played mp1 in platinum against legend lobbies? They need to sort this out and quick! They stopped gold vs platinum although most gold cars can compete with platinum easy.

i believe they mix plat and legend because there are so few players in legend that they were having trouble finding matches

Yea I know! Was top 500 and barely top 3000 lol. All races are 3,4 or legend players.
Thing is, there would be many more legend players to have there own lobbies if they didn’t mix them in with platinum. Normally I get to platinum in a day or 2 and for at least a few days, the lobbies are bare. Most of the time it’s 3-4 player lobbies and I find myself purposely demoting to gold as I can gain more series score points in gold then platinum. Point is, platinum league is empty for a week but they don’t mix platinum players with gold league because the lobbies are bare

make sure to spend tokens wisely and train in career a lot to sharpen your skills to get better positions in weekly competitions so you can earn tokens and credits
tokens can be spent on anything everything in this game is tempting but aim for good cars for multiplayer if the car is not a king of it's class or won't be easy to drive then don't it's not worth it
use manual driving to achieve the above stuff
playing multiplayer a lot will not make any progress except if you were poor in credits so you can in this case more and more
for good runs and how to deal with any car in any maps watch some alien youtubers runs such as: doc&afiq, qwerty, stass RS, and many many more
you have some weekly event for free blueprints for rezvani beast X, cadillac cien concept, vlf force one, lamborghini egoista, and trion nemesis make sure to have the required cars and unlock these massive rides
last but not least don't get scammed by any silly offer by gameloft and watch out of A9 physics they cause you to wreck and lose the race

@worthy spear I was against current cap system, so I'm happy about it (partly at least - as it's not in all Leagues).
It's much easier to climb that way.
And finally there's a point in catching up at least one competitor in a race, as it makes some difference in points.
