Tried the new update. Seems like it is laggy. Almost pausing within the game. Then in the fourth race of daily, the dreaded crash happened again at start. We are your faithful gamers;paying and sticking around. Please reward us very well for all of this. I have at least a couple hundred fuel missing along with frustration at GP and MP.

There is something wrong with mp. They keep on ramming me like crazy, and after that they go on their merry way without a dent in their car! I think it's your server doing aggressive prediction and guessing the players position wrong.

In one race i was rammed into a ditch. Then the guy who rammed me, got respawn somewhere half a mile ahead of me. The server predicted his position wrong, made him ram into me, then put him back in his actual position. You know what that makes me? Crazy and furious! It's not even healthy I'm constantly screaming at my screen!

This is worse after the hotfix. Long loading screen is fixed yeah, but now it's entirely a new beast!

I fixed my game crash issue in my Redmi Note 8 Pro and not sure if it will work for all.
Goto Consent Management Page under Settings > Game Info > Manage my Choices, and turn off every single option and also for 594 of their 'partners'.
The loading time also reduced after turning off those options

After testing this update extensively I can say for sure, This update fixed nothing at all with regards to crashes be it with 30 fps or 60 fps

Lots of laggy gameplay especially in MP and hunted races on 60 fps mode. Gets worse when 30 fps is used. Even scrolling through the garage and menu causes lag. My device also feels like the human torch.

I'm on version 2.4.6a. I've updated and applied every hotfix but nothing fixed my gameplay. I guess the only good thing it fixed was the loading time. I tried reinstalling and even restarting my phone. Those didn't work either.

Was I'm using 'high' in my graphic option. I change it to 'default' and the crash is noticeably decrease. This crash issue is related to graphics of the game, since they change approach about unlocking 60fps to more devices. Try change your graphic setting.

Okay, I've checked all that.
Rebooting the device, rebooting the router, reinstalling the app, everything.
Still, the app sometimes shuts down abruptly.
Before the update of Valhalla, Hot-fix version, there was never a single problem like this.
I'm sure there's been a problem after the patch.
and It's not just about one device.

press the Daily event PLAY - Don't load it and shuts down
3 2 1 sequence comes out after multiplayer starts, shuts down
press PLAY for Career game
leave after the Career game. Starting loading to main screen (black screen)
Event, multi, etc. All of a sudden shuts down while playing the game.

Certainly there was never this problem before the version of Valhalla, hot-fix.

Sometimes we even know the game is going to crash coz when the race start the text's are all messed up (like players name) and it crashes in the middle of the race or when the race ends.

One new problem with this update especially in MP is that there could be a sudden lag and the game just crashes.

The problem is 90% user of A9 have not the top top speed wifi which doesn't support your 60fps... The stream online in mp needs a better wifi that's why 90% of players have red wifi in mp.... Why you can't figure this out... You know why this issue wasn't there before this update coz 80% of Andriod phone work smoothly with previous graphics in mp it required lower wifi data usage now with this bad update it require it least 40 to 60 mps speed of internet... So just put back the previous system remove the update...

So I play one practice grandprix and my phone goes fromv28°c to 43°c in a minute and a half.
I play for real x2 in grand prix and because of the gameplay lag and freezing screen.... I lose 3 seconds compared to my practice time!!! This is so utterly useless gameloft devs.

'Exit' button seems to be bugged while trying to exit the game.

To shorten it, when I exit the game, it hangs there and no responding (user input). As a result, it crash my Note20 Ultra.

Had to force-quit from there by tapping the 'home' button as a result. #annoying

@true geyser I know, if you're running exynos the game won't install with Google play and galaxy store is now temperamental with installation. These devs have earned them a very special achievement award 👏

Seems very likely that A9 got Covid-19.... 15 days was self quarantine days to fix it... Now it will take a whole year to recover...... @vital radish when the fix is coming next year........ 😡 it's been a disaster of update...

The device still heats up on the 60fps mode(upto 46°C) Though the heating is considerably slower but it gets extremely heated up after 10-15 races.
The two hot fixes have helped somewhat but the problem still exists.

The issue is the ads server. As ads open, sometimes in the middle and often at the end, the game crashes and restarts.

GL should fire those incompetents that ruin the game and hire some people who are skilled and actually care about doing a good job.

@vital radish You don't know what are you talking about. Do you think the graphics are transferred through internet (WiFi)? The game generates almost everything locally on your phone. It uses internet for car coordinates, speed, race positions, times, leaderboards, stats, currency, MP and events data, thumbnails, these sort of things (mostly text and raw numbers). All these things shouldn't take more than 1 MB per second. If the game doesn't run smoothly the guilty one is the bad optimisation of the game engine, not the internet.

I don't know how to describe this, but the game is not fluid, at every moment there is a very small pause, it is almost imperceptible, the best test is to see how in the video the position of each car (the number on top of each car) does not follow the car correctly (you can compare it to a YouTube video and this does not happen). I decided to report this because I feel that it affects my multiplayer experience (I see how other cars push me until I get KD, then I see how that same car teleports). @paper phoenix this has been happening to me too. I dont use Samsung S8 but its another Samsung device and it's a 2019 budget phone which is still decent. Since this update released, my game has been pretty much unplayable due to fps drops etc and they hot fixes they released didnt fix anything

Ok, so now we're back to this @sturdy grail @arctic arrow . Please could you elaborate as to what is going on.... I wrote in an earlier post this is still going on , however things are now going from atrocious to just downright unacceptable . When can we expect all the main issues with the game to be resolved? We're expected to follow game rules in tle/mp etc.... isn't it time gameloft and A9 development team start to implement the same rules and protections for us the gamer. It´s been like a month and a half from the upadte and my games still laggy

Since this morning the game started to run decently at 60fps here on the Galaxy S20 Plus. After almost 8 months of suffering I can finally say that I can now play well. However, yesterday there were 5 hypotheses that occurred on the phone and it was certainly one of them that influenced or, as 5 as a whole:

• Had a 400MB Android update (October 2020 patch, as usual, monthly patches that they release)
• There was a version change in a service called ''Game Optimizing Service''
• I activated a High Performance option on Android (it was like Optimized). But this option does not know if it influenced because in the past I had already done several tests with this option turned on and nothing changed).
• Screen resolution changed to WQHD + (3200x1440), which incidentally, in this resolution, the game should drop the fps even more because it is at a resolution far above the ordinary
• Temperature when I played at 60fps outside the range between 38 to 41. Now with 60fps on it is between 38 and 44. Last night I still pushed for more than 1h30min playing with it temperature and at no time were there any more sudden drops from 60 to 10, 15 fps as it was happening.

Anyway, here the game is now OK (between 60 ~ 54 fps) and without Asphalt update.

I started getting ads right on the main menu. Immediately after loading the splash screen - an advertisement, I drive one race - an ad, I try to change menu - an ad! What the heck?! Every 3-4 months you start spamming me with your stupid ads that you forcibly include from every corner. I write something similar as now and it disappears again for several months. I do NOT want to see any ads other than the one that I myself initialize. Whether additional credits or speeded up gasoline recovery.

The game is in default quality, when I go to multiplayer, start lagging consecutive times for a few seconds, in class cup or daily events it's the same problem.

Asphalt 9 is a very demanding game

Y'all should be happy you're running it at 30fps

The nitendo Switch runs it at 45fps

You need to have a high end processor at least to render 60fps in asphalt 9

Midranges nowadays cannot handle 30fps, except the density 1000+

It's performance is between the snapdragon 855+ and 865
