Because gameplay, physics and storyline is just incredible and way ahead of it's time, No NFS edition has recreated or even made better gameplay than it, I played underground, carbon, hot pursuit, MW 2012 but none catered to the interest that MW 05 had sadly but gotta say underground and carbon physics were very similar to that of MW and so not bad.
